The car which  had hit nandini , the person immediately took nandini to near by hospital. Which was manik's hospital only. Manik at night came there for emergency operation and he saw ward boys and nurses were taking nandini on stretcher. His breath got stuck in his throat when he saw her lying injured. He immediately ran toward them.

"What happened to her "he asked coming there and a nurse told what happened to her. "Immediately take her to emergency room , i will operate her "he instructed and then they all immediately rushed toward emergency room.

After sometime nandini opened her eyes , she was lying on hospital bed. As soon as she remembered about the accident , she started crying thinking that her baby had died. "My baby , my baby , you can't go , mumma will die without you "she was crying badly in pain as for her this baby was only the Reason of why she was living.

Manik immediately came there listening her screams. He got shocked to find her in this condition. She was crying sitting on the floor hugging her knees tightly. He didn't know why he was feeling pain in his heart and Why her condition was affecting him. He was confused but now for him it is not important to think about his feeling , it was important to handle nandini.

Manik didn't know how to console a girl , it was a difficult task for him. He sat  down on his knees and slowly put the hand on her shoulder . Nandini didn't react and just kept crying. He was feeling bad for her. "Nandini "he called her but still no response.

"Nandini , you baby is alive , stop crying "he said but still she didn't respond , she was just crying baldy. She was in big shock. She wasn't listening to his single word and assuming   that her baby had died.

"I will kill myself , i can't live without my baby "suddenly she got up saying this and started finding something sharp and manik got shocked listening her words and felt more bad for her.

"Nandini , your baby is alive "he said holding her arms and nandini looked at him blankly. "You are lying right "she said in low voice and manik nodded his head negatively.

"I know , you are lying so that i won't kill myself , i know "she said behaving like a mad person while manik was constantly nodding his head. Then she again started finding the sharp think.

"Nandini , your baby is alive "this time he shouted shaking her after holding her both Shoulder and then put her one hand on her belly. Nandini sighed relief after feeling that her baby was still alive. Now silent tears were running down from her eyes. She became quite after this , just silently crying looking at her belly.

Manik took her toward bed and laid her down. "You have protected your baby nandini as your injured hand are clearly telling your story that when the car  hit you , you caged your tummy with your hands to save your baby , nandini your are a great mother , before giving birth , you are doing a lot for your baby "he said showing her , her injured arms.

"Ahaah.. "She started crying loudly again  . She was making sound. Manik got shocked as why she was crying after also knowing that her baby was alive.

"Nandini , what happened ? "He asked but she didn't responded and he went out thinking to leave her alone for sometime , may be after crying she would feel better but again and again he was thinking "what is her pain and why she is affecting me "

After half and hour manik again came to her room. He found her staring at ceiling while caressing her tummy. Her condition was clearly showing that she was in deep pain.

"How are you now " manik asked while coming toward her and listening his words she came out of her thought. "Better "she replied in low voice looking at him.

"Nandini , what you was doing on the road with luggage at night , you was going somewhere "he asked and he saw her eyes again started becoming teary.

"Actually , i left my home "he got Shocked listening this "why "he asked "  because before my parents will come to know about my pregency or my relatives too come to know about this baby and before they start saying bad about my baby , I left the house as i can't bear single word against my baby " she said still caressing her tummy.

"But where you will live nandini ? "He immediately asked and she took a long breath and said " i will take flat on rent "she said " but nandini it is not good for you to live alone in this condition "he said again getting worried for her.

"The day when i lost my love , i am alone in thousand people also , now i am get habitual of this , don't worry "she said having no emotion inside her and manik felt bad for her. He wanted to know what happened to the father of her baby.

"Nandini , this is not right  , atleast think about your baby "he said " i can protect my baby , i don't need anyone "she said getting little angry as she was angry with world as her own parent were not ready to accept the baby.

"I know , you will nandini , i am sure about this , nandini , you having complications in your pregnancy and you know that it is not safe for you and your baby to live alone " he again tried to make her understand

"So what do you want , i should go back home and should listen bad words about my baby from my own parents and from this bloody society " she asked getting angry.

"You can come to my home "he said in low voice and she looked at him shockingly after listening this.

"Nandini , you can live in my house , i am your friend nandini " manik said putting his hand on her hand and she immediately took out his hand.

"No i am sorry , you have already done a big favour on me , i don't want to bother you more "she said while nodding her head.

"Nandini , i am  not doing any favour on you please , and i am giving you job also with this "he said and she looked at him confusingly. .

"You have to take care of my daughter , nandini please don't say no , atleast think about your baby , there are so many maids in my house , you and your baby will be safe there , your baby is my responsibility , i have already told you about this "he said and nandini got agreed for her baby at last.

"Now take rest , you will be discharged tomorrow morning , nandini don't think so much , life will be beautiful ahead , don't lose hope "he said and started walking toward door .

"I stopped dreaming , i don't have any hope left as when the dreams break , it hurts alot and it breaks a person heart into million pieces and my heart has also broke down in millions pieces , which  will never be repaired " manik stopped after listening her words and then walked out silently.

"Why his husband left her , she is broken soul , I hope so i am doing right to take her at my home , i don't know why i am doing this but i am worried for her and i will protect her and her baby "he thought after coming out and looked at nandini from window and saw that she was talking to her baby.

Till morning he remained in hospital for nandini. He called Sakshi and asked about pari. Next morning he made her discharge papers ready. He was excited to take nandini in his house. They were sitting in car. Driver was driving the car and they were sitting at back seat. Nandini was looking outside and manik was staring at her. As soon as she looked toward him , he immediately moved her face to another side.

"Manik "she called him and he looked at him "thank you for everything , whatever you doing for me and my baby , i thought in this world all people are selfish and bad but you changed my thinking because you are so good and i don't have word for you "she thanked him And manik smiled.

Before he could speak something , suddenly driver turned the car in speed and nandini fell on manik , she clutched his shirt and both looked into each other eyes. He found so much pain in her eyes. Both came out of the thought because of horn sound. Nandini immediately leave his shirt and sat properly but again same thing happened and they again got lost in each other eyes.

"I am sorry "she apologized again moving back and this time she moved far away from him. "Ramesh , drive slow , we are not getting late "manik scolded driver but he should be thankful to driver as because of him , nandini came close to him.

After reaching home , manik opened nandini's side door while Ramesh was taking out nandini's luggage. " This is my home , my best place "he said and nandini just smiled and they walked inside.  Nandini was admiring his house and manik was admiring her. Again when she looked at him and he started looking here and there.

"Your house is beautiful , manik "she said and manik thanked her. Then manik made her sit in hall. Butler came with water for them.  "Nandini you sit here and i will make you meet my favourite person , whom you have to handle " manik said and she nodded her head.

"Daddy , mele (mere) liye didi laye aap ( have you brought didi for me ) "as soon as manik entered , pari asked about her didi like always.

"No but i want to make you meet a new didi , you will surely like her pari , she is very very good "manik tried to convince her not knowing she was already loved nandini.

"No , no , mule (mujhe) mele (meri) vohe didi chayie (i want my that didi only )"she cried while manik became sad. He took  her in his arms and started taking her outside while pari was beating his small hand on manik chest and crying that she wanted her didi only.
