There was a stunned silence as Misha said those words. The only sound that could be heard was that of the kids who were playing in the garden. Ishwari was the first to recover from the shock, she walked towards Misha, holding her shoulder harshly she said "Yeh kya Bakwaas kar rahi ho tum?" anger and fury clearly visible in her eyes. She continued "Ho kaun tum aur kya matlab hai tumhara ki Dev chala gaya hamesha ke liye?"

Misha removed Ishwari's hand and calmly replied "Dekhiye Mrs.Dixit, main koi Bakwaas nahi kar rahi hoon, jo sach hai main aap logon ko wahi bata rahi hoon", as Misha said that Ishwari felt her world crashing down right in front of her, she could at once make out that Misha was not lying. Her head started spinning, she was about to fall when Misha held her and made her sit on the sofa just as Sonakshi rushed forward and made her drink water, she was equally shocked with what Misha had said but was not ready to believe her.

Sonakshi turned towards Misha and said in "Dekho, mujhe pata nahi ki tum kaun ho aur ye sab kyun bol rahi ho lekin agar ye koi mazak hai toh Bohut hi ghatiya Mazak hai"

"Dr.Bose, main koi Mazak nahi kar rahi hoon, agar aap logon ko mujhpe vishwas nahi hai to aap Ranveer aur Tina se pooch saktey hai. Aap log toh unhey pehle se hi jaantey hai" she snapped at Sonakshi in anger.

Sonakshi was taken aback at Misha's tone, she could at once make out the anger in Misha's voice which was directed towards her but could not understand why it was so, she walked towards Ranveer & Tina "Ranveer, Tina sach sach batao ye kya bol rahi hai lekin pehle ye batao ki ye ladki kaun hai aur ye Dev ko kaisey jaanti hai" she asked them.

"Dr.Bose, ye Misha Rastogi hai. Ishwari Communications ki lawyer aur Dev sir ki kafi acchi dost hai. Yun samajh lijiye ki jab Dev sir bilkul akele pad gaye they aap ke saath break-up honay ke baad tab Misha ne hi unhey sambhala aur unkey gam sey unko bahar nikala tha" as she said that it pricked Sonakshi's heart, all these days they when were together never had Dev mentioned about Misha and today someone was telling her that she was Dev's best friend, was she just a friend or more than that. Tina continued "Aur ye jo bol rahi hai bilkul sach hai. Dev sir ne humey yahan bheja hai aap logon ko ye bataney ke liye ki wo aap sab ki zindagi se door jaa rahe hai, humesha-humesha ke liye".

As soon as Tina said that, everybody was aghast. They had known Tina right from the days when she had joined as a secretary in Dev's office when it had just started and over the years Dev had come to trust her like any other family member, she had left Ishwari communications seven years back just before Dev's marriage went kaput but one thing everybody knew about her. She was a very responsible, truthful and honest girl but more than that she was fiercely loyal to Dev and if she was telling that Dev had gone away then it had to be the truth yet nobody wanted to accept it.

"Mera Dev apni Maa ko chodkey kahin nahin jaa sakta, main maan hi nahi sakti wo kuch aisa karega jissey uskey maa yaa parivaar walon ko dukh pohunchey, Bhaiya aap Dev ko phone lagaiye. Main us sey baat karoongi wo meri baat kabhi nahi talega" said Ishwari in determination, she was not going to lose hope so quickly.

As Mamaji took out his phone, Misha spoke "Mr.Tripathi, Koi fayda nahi hai. Dev ka phone nahi lagega, jab Dev ne khud aap sab se door jaaney ka faisla liya hai toh aap logon ko kya lagta hai ki wo aap logon se baat karna chahega?, lekin phir bhi aap apni tasali ke liye try kar lijiye" sarcasm dripping from her voice. She was a very calm, mature & sensible girl who seldom got angry but today she was fast losing patience as the matter at hand was concerning her best friend and then her anger on the people present their were clouding her mind as well as she held them responsible for Dev's decision to go away from their lives.

Ishwari sat down morosely, her face was emotionless as the sisters were crying silently. She knew she had lost the connect with her son emotionally seven years back when his marriage ended in the most brutal way but her only solace was that he was in front of her eyes, though in the last seven years he spent most of his time outside the house but there was hope, hope that she would get a glimpse of him if only it was for few days, but today as she was told he had made the decision to go away from their lives forever she felt as if her only reason to live was taken away, the hope of catching his glimpse everyday had shattered and along with it she was shattered as well. Mamaji was shaking her for getting some reaction but it seemed she had turned oblivious to the world around her as she stared into oblivion.

But the situation with Sonakshi was completely different, she was fast loosing hope and was turning hysterical, walking towards Misha she spoke agitatedly "Bas bohut ho gaya, ab aur nahi. Band karo ye Mazak. Sach sach batao Dev kahan hai, usney hi tumhey yahan bheja hai na taaki hum logon ko pareshan kar sakey. Humesha aisey hi karta hai, logon ko pareshan karney main bohut mazza aata hai na usey. Wo yahin kahi hai na, bolo wo yahi hai naa". As Misha kept looking at her without uttering a word, She moved towards the door and started calling out Dev "Dev, Dev kahan ho tum, Dekho bohut Mazak ho gaya. Dekho tumahrey Mazak ki wajah se Auntyji ki tabiyat kharab ho gayi hai. Dekho Soha aur Golu apne Superman wait kar rahe hai. Tumhari behne aayi hai itney dino ke baad tumsey milne. Sab yahin hai Dev, Tum chah tey they na ki Soha apni poori family ko ek saath miley toh dekho yahan sab hai Dev bas tum nahi ho, kya tum Soha ki ye wish poori nahi karogey. Bohut ho gaya abhi, please aa jao, please aa jao Dev, sirf ek baar apne Khargosh ki baat maan lo Mr.Dixit, please aa jao Mr. Obhodro" as Sonakshi said that she slumped down at the entrance, tears were continuously flowing from her eyes. Right from the time that she met Dev after 7 years she had maintained a perfect facade in front him as well as others that his presence did not affect her and the only relation she shared with him was that of a co-parent to Suhana, even when Dev was not in his senses because of Mamiji's medicine he had confessed about his love for her but she had maintained her facade even though she knew her love for him never ceased yet she did not want to confess because she felt it would make her weak, they had turned into friends in the last few days, everything thing was going fine with the arrangement they had made for their daughter as well. But in the last two days whenever she spoke to him she felt a strange fear that something bad was about to happen and today when Misha revealed about Dev's absence from their lives forever the same fear was coming true. Her facade had broken and it seemed as if she had lost all her sanity & rational thinking, she looked absolutely broken. It seemed as if someone has taken her soul away as she kept crying uncontrollably.

To say everyone was stunned would have been an understatement, all these days never had they seen Sonakshi so broken, nobody could ever imagine the pent-up emotions she was hiding under the guise of showing herself strong but today it seemed she had given up that guise and all her emotions were flowing in the form of tears. While Ishwari was slumped on to the Sofa holding her head as Mamaji supported her. Asha, Bijoy and Jatin ran towards Sonakshi while Misha, Tina & Ranveer were looking at each other disturbed at the way things were unfolding and this was just the start of it. Somewhere they had expected this to happen but to see it unfolding right before them was heart wrenching for them as well yet they had to keep calm because it was just the start of the storms that were about to hit them and they had to stay strong.

Asha hugged Sonakshi and tried to calm her down, "Shaant ho jaa Sona, sambhal apne aap ko, Dev aa jayega wapas. Please rona band kar, Dekh agar tu hi tooth jayegi toh kaisey chalega. Suhana ko kaun sambhalega jab usey yeh pata chalega, please Sona shaant ho ja. Tu toh meri bahadur bacchi hai na".

As soon as Asha mentioned about Suhana, fresh tears made way out of Sonakshi's eyes "Maa, Suhana bilkul tooth jayegi. Itney saal wo apne Papa se door rahi, bhale hi wo kabhi nahi kehti lekin mainey uski aakhon main wo dukh dekha tha jab wo apne Papa ko miss karti thi, uskey wo drawings jismey wo apne Papa ko imagine karkey draw karti aur itney saal baad jab wo apne Papa se mili toh wo uski Jaan ban gaya hai. Aur aaj wo hum sabko chod key chala gaya Maa. Apni beti ko, mujhey, apni Maa, apney poorey parivar ko chodke chala gaya. Phir sey main akeli ho gayi Maa, phir sey main akeli ho gayi"

Asha held on to her daughter, she knew this was bound to happen one day especially with the way her daughter had bottled up all her emotions but never did she imagine that circumstances would be such, she was about to speak when everyone heard.

"Kya Hua Dida, Mamma aur aap Ro kyun rahe ho aur wahan Dadi bhi ro rahi hai"
