It's Sunday and I am back with the next update😀😀😀!!! Apologies for the delay as I was caught up with my work

Without further ado here's the next part, Hope you like it.

"Why are we here Tina?" asked Riya while Tina and Ranveer looked at each other as Nikki also had the same question in her mind.

They were standing in front of a gate with the name UMEED written on it, situated in the outskirts, away from the hustle bustle of the city the place was filled with greenery. Ranveer gestured the sisters to move in as the guard at the gate smiled at them. As they moved forward the sisters looked around. On one side they could see a school with a playground in front of it and a park besides it. On the other side they could see a hospital while at some distance they could see a building what looked like a residential complex outside which they could see kids of various age groups playing, there was fun and laughter in the atmosphere which momentarily dissipated the sad mood of the sisters. Surprise clearly etched on their faces, just then a lady in her late 40's came towards them.

"Ranveer, Tina You both here today. That's a nice surprise, the kids will be happy to see you guys here. It's been nearly a month since you guys had last come here" said the lady with a smile as Ranveer replied.

"Yes, Manju Kaki, we were caught up with work so could not come here" he said but before he could continue further someone came and hugged him tightly as the sisters were surprised looking at the scene unfolding before them.

"Ranveer Bhaiya, Kitney dino baad aaye aap yahan" said the person as Ranveer hugged her back.

"Mishti, Kaisi hai tu?" asked Ranveer to the fifteen year old girl who had hugged him, the girl came out of the hug and turned her face away in anger as Ranveer chuckled, he had already expected her anger as he took out her favourite candy from his pocket and kept it in front of her, as soon as the girl saw that a bright smile formed on her face as she took the candy and hugged him back as Tina smiled looking at them while the sisters had a smiled on their faces but were still confused as to what they were doing at this place.

"Waisey Dev bhaiya kahan hai, Wo nahi aaye hai kya?" she asked as everyone looked at each other, they had no answer to her question, just then Manju Kaki spoke.

"Mishti, Dev toh pichey hafte hi aaya than aa. Aur wo kuch kaam main busy hoga" she said in a mock anger as the girl smiled and turned to look at the strangers who were standing along with Tina and Ranveer but as soon as she saw them her eyes widened in surprise, it seemed as if she had recognized them.

"Riya Di, Nikki Di. Aap log?" she said with a smile as the sisters were left shell shocked, the girl knew their names but how? before they could recover from the shock the girl added "Aur Neha Di nahi aayi hai kya?" as she looked behind to see whether Neha had come or not while the sisters looked at each other in confusion, they did not know what to make out of the situation First the place and then a stranger knowing them by their names, they looked towards Ranveer and Tina who knew the questions running in their minds.

But before they could answer the teenager gasped in shock and said "Sonakshi Di, Aap Yahan?" as everyone except Misha, Tina and Ranveer were left shocked. Misha along with Sonakshi had come to UMEED directly from ASRA to know the final phase on Dev's past. Though Misha had insisted that they visit here the next day since it was already late in the evening and the place was in the outskirts of the city but Sonakshi would have none of it, she wanted to find Dev at the earliest and remove all the misunderstandings they had and misconceptions she had about him. And hence both reached here just as the sun was setting beyond the horizon.

The sisters and Sonakshi were standing quietly trying to gauge what was happening around them it seemed that everyone at the place knew them, yet they did not have a clue about who the people were, Misha could clearly understand their confusion.

"I know a lot of questions are running in your minds, Come lets go" she said gesturing everyone to move into the building, just as they entered the sister's let a gasp out seeing the statue at the front of the building.

"Papa" they said, it was a statue of their father as tears glistened from their eyes with only one thought in their minds, 27yrs back they had lost their father and now they had lost their brother who was like their father ever since. Everyone else kept quiet letting the moment pass. As they moved forward everyone they came across had a surprise first and then a smile on their faces, it seemed everyone knew them, after a few moments they entered a room and what they saw left them shocked to the core.

Right in front of them were their childhood pictures, family pictures, Neha's marriage, Dev's marriage pictures. It seemed as if all those moments from seven years back were floating before them. On the left-hand side, the sisters saw their single pictures below which they could see a table placed below each of them on which there were gifts placed, 7 to be precise. The sisters moved forward and looked at it and turned towards Misha, questions clearly etched on their faces.

"These are the gifts that Dev brought for each of you on your birthdays in the last 7 years" said Misha as the very next moment tears made way from the eyes of everyone, the sisters were inconsolable. All these years they had thought that their brother had forgotten them, but he never did. While Sonakshi just stood there quietly trying to swallow her tears back but could not. After a few minutes the sisters composed themselves as Nikki asked.

"Misha, If Bhai was missing us so much then why in the last seven years did he not try to contact us or meet us" she asked as Ria looked at her sister, she knew the answer but kept quiet.

Misha smiled wryly and answered "Nikki, Does the same not apply to you all as well? Why did you guys not try to contact him even once. And anyways he knew that you both were angry with him thinking he was the one who had done injustice and thrown the Bose family out of their house. And Neha did not have cordial relations with Dev since childhood, so what reason did he have to meet you guys?" she said but anger was clearly visible in her voice.

The sisters just cried while Tina tried to console them, it dawned on the sisters that what Misha said was indeed true, but now they could do nothing was regret for their actions and hope that their brother would come back.

"Sonakshi, Come with me" said Misha as Sonakshi looked at her in surprise and nodded her head in agreement and left the room leaving the sisters to drown in the memories of their brother along with Tina and Ranveer.

After a few moments, they entered a room but as soon as they entered Sonakshi stumbled for a moment before holding on to the table kept beside the door for support because staring right back at her were the moments from seven years back, her photos with Dev during their courtship, her marriage pictures, pictures of Suhana, of Golu. For a moment she felt dizzy looking at it the walls. She moved towards the cupboard and as she saw the contents in them tears made way from her eyes. It had all her medical books, her ornaments, her dresses everything that she had in Dixit House seven years back.

Her eyes fell on the small box and as she opened it a gasp left her mouth as staring right back at her was the CHARRED MANGALSUTRA which she had thrown in fire seven years back that signalled the end of their relationship from her end but it seemed like he could not let go of it, for all that was staring back at her was just indicating to one thing, that Dev had not given up on their relationship in these seven years but the last 4 months were enough for him to let go of what he was holding on to for the past seven years.

Misha just put a hand on Sonakshi's shoulder letting her absorb the surroundings around her, telling her slowly that these were the memories which helped DEV sustain the last seven years and telling her that she was waiting outside Misha left without a word to let Sonakshi spend her time with their memories from the past.

After some time, the sisters came out along with Tina and Ranveer. They enquired about Sonakshi as Misha informed them about her while they understood and went around the place as it reminded them of their brother.

Sonakshi came out of the room after some time, Manju Kaki along with Mishti insisted everyone to spend the night at the NGO as it was late in the night plus it was first time anyone from Dev's family had visited them ever since he set this place up 6 years back. Sonakshi and the sisters informed their respective families about the same as the rest of the time was spent with memories of Dev and events from his last six years. After some time, they retired for the night, the sisters and Sonakshi had insisted spending the night in the rooms along with Dev's memories in the hope that they could find him quickly and make more memories with him.

As the next day dawned everyone left for the respective homes promising everyone at the NGO that they will re-visit soon. On the way to the Bose house Misha asked Sonakshi on how to inform the kids about Dev which even she was unsure off but then Misha said something which made Sonakshi feel that it would help them inform the kids about Dev.

While at the Bose house, Asha was sitting on the sofa thinking about the events of the past few days. She closed her eyes as her thoughts went back to the day around 5 yrs. Back.

It was a normal day at the Bose house in Kolkata, Suhana had turned a year a few days back. She could walk but what bothered everyone was that she did not start speaking yet though it was normal that a few kids started talking late. Suhana was playing with her toys along with Bijoy sitting in the floor while Sonakshi was sitting on the Dining table working while constantly watching over her daughter. Asha was sitting on the sofa with a smile on her face and cup of coffee seeing her granddaughter.

Suddenly everyone heard Suhana trying to move her lips in the bid to say something but the first word she spoke left everyone shocked as they heard Suhana stammer "Ba....Ba...Ba.Ba" she said as tears made way out of Sonakshi's eyes as she heard her daughter speak for the first time while Bijoy had a frown on his face, anger was clearly visible for his granddaughter had spoken her first word but she called out for her father.

Sonakshi left for her room unable to control her tears anymore as Asha rushed behind her knowing very well that she would be in turmoil. She asked Sonakshi once again to contact Dev for she knew if Dev knew about their daughter he would come running the next moment but Sonakshi cut off her mother telling that she had already tried earlier but Dev did not want her nor his daughter in his life. Incidentally Bijoy had heard their conversation, he was carrying Suhana. Handing her to Sonakshi he scolded Asha that she wanted to get Dev back in their daughter's life when he was closed chapter. Asking her to never talk about Dev again he left In anger as Asha sighed disappointedly looking at her daughter who just ignored her and talked to her daughter trying to make her call her out as Maa.

Asha jerked out of her thoughts as she slowly spoke "If only Bijoy, If only you had kept your Ego aside and Sonakshi her anger" just as Sonakshi along with Misha entered the home while at the same time the kids who had gone out with Saurabh came in as well. As soon as they Sonakshi they jumped on her and asked her about where she was the previous night while she spoke.

"SUHANA, GOLU. HUMEY AAP LOGON KO KUCH BATANA HAI.....DEV KE BAAREY MAIN"

Done, How was it??. Frankly, I am nervous as this is the part of the story which quite a few of the readers have been waiting for, so I do not whether I am able to do justice to their expectations or not. And I know this one would have been boring but it is important for the story to progress.
