"MISHA, PLEASE TELL SOMETHING. HOW DID I END UP HERE? AND...AND WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT?"

Misha kept looking down, unable to meet his gaze. She was a confident, independent & fearless girl but at present Dev's demeanour as well as loud voice had rendered her speechless, she just kept quiet hoping that it would calm him down but unfortunately the exact opposite was happening, seeing Misha quiet Dev's anger increased, he moved forward and held her shoulders forcefully.

"For God's sake Misha, Speak up. Look at me and tell what happened last night? How did I come here and where are my clothes which I was wearing yesterday" he thundered at her as Misha shuddered in fear, it was the first time she had seen him get angry in all these months. She slowly lifted her head up and looked in his eyes.

It was the first time she had ever looked in his eyes and she was left speechless once again because apart from anger there was something else which she could see in those brown orbs. She found a certain sadness but more than that there was guilt in those eyes, guilt that he had done some mistake which left her perplexed.

"Damn it Misha, answer me" he screamed once again as fear surged through her as she tried gathering her courage to answer him

"Si...Sir...N..No.." she stammered but right at that moment someone interrupted their conversation.

"Kya hua Dev, Tum Chilla kyun rahey ho?" it was Ranveer who spoke while Tina followed him into the room, they had heard Dev's loud voice which prompted them to come into the room, they had just arrived at Misha's home.

"Ranveer, Tina Tum? Tum log yahan kya kar rahey ho?" asked Dev looking at them confused.

"Batata hoon, Par ye bata tu chila kyun raha tha Misha par?" Ranveer asked again as Dev left Misha who immediately left the room hiding the tears which were threatening to spill from her eyes, Tina went behind Misha as well knowing very well that she would have been affected by Dev's behaviour.

"Issey kya hua?" asked Ranveer as he saw them leave, turning towards Dev he asked "Dev sach sach Bata kya hua, kya kaha tuney usey? Misha aisey kyun chaley gayi?"

"Wahi toh main bhi jaan na chahta hoon Ranveer ki kal raat kya hua tha? Main yahan kaisey aaya aur... aur... mere kapdey, mere kapdey kahan hai? Kya kal raat kuch galat...." he spoke hysterically  and stopped abruptly unable to ask further, his voice & expressions was conveying guilt which Ranveer did not miss, he could understand what Dev was trying to say.

"Tere aur Misha ke beech aisa kuch nahi hua jiss ki wajah se tu guilty feel karey" said Ranveer as Dev sighed in relief but the next moment he asked "Toh Phir, kal raat ko exactly kya hua tha Ranveer, Mujhey sirf ye yaad hai ki main pub main pee raha tha, lekin uskey baad kya hua muhey kuch yaad nahi hai?"

"Har baar ki tarah tu nashey main ekdam dhoot hokey apney hosh kho baitha tha. Luckily Misha wahi thi apney doston ke saath, tujhey uss halat main Dekh kar usney humey call kiya lekin she could not get through to us. Seeing no other way, she brought you here. Lekin baarish ki wajah se tu kaafi bheeg chuka tha aur uski wajah se tujhey bukhar bhi ho gaya tha. Misha ne phir humey contact karney ki koshish ki. Luckily, she could connect with me and told me the situation. After which I came here in half an hour and changed your clothes, at that time I only had a track pant with me. In fact, after that Misha helped me with getting the medicines for you" said Ranveer as Dev slapped his head, guilty that he shouted on the poor soul without any mistake of her when she had gone out of the way and helped him, Ranveer did not miss Dev's expressions change as the truth dawned on him, he could exactly gauge what was going through in his mind.

"Chal abhi apney kapdey pehen aur Misha se maafi maang" said Ranveer as he handed over the clothes to Dev who nodded wordlessly and proceeded to change his clothes.

On the other hand, outside the room Tina was trying to make Misha understand that there was some misunderstanding because of which Dev was reacting that way, while Misha was sitting quietly on the sofa, she had already taken a decision and was in no mood to change it. Just then the door of the room opened as Dev and Ranveer walked out.

"Misha, I am sor...." said Dev but Misha interrupted him in between not allowing him to speak further as she spoke "Mr.Dixit, Please leave" as everyone was left flabbergasted. "Excuse me, what did you say?" said Dev to re-confirm that he had heard it correctly.

"I said, please leave from here Mr. Dixit. Leave before I say something which I should not" she spoke in a loud and cold voice as anger surged through Dev, he was about to retort but Ranveer stopped him. Gesturing him to give it some time he along with Dev left as Tina followed them after asking Misha to once again reconsider the decision she had taken.

"And Dev left from there. I had decided to resign the very next day. I could not work with a person who was so impulsive & insensitive. Already I did not have a good image of him because of the way media portrayed him yet I was working there as it was the break my career needed. But that day his question had indirectly put a question on my character and self-respect, something which I could never compromise with. I felt I was wronged especially considering that I had helped him. So, I had decided to resign. With this intention I had gone the next day to meet him" said Misha as Sonakshi looked on wordlessly, somewhere she was relieved & happy that Misha was willing to share everything about Dev's life, she just hoped that it would give her an idea of where Dev was.

On the other end Tina & Ranveer were in conversation with Riya and Nikki speaking about Dev's past.

"Jaisey ki tum logon ko pata hai ki Dev sir ke shaadi ke kuch din baad mainey Ishwari Communications main naukri chodd di thi. Main apney ghar Kanpur gayi thi jab mujhey pata chala ki Dev sir aur Dr.Bose ki shaadi toot chuki hai. Mujhey bohot bura laga tha ye baat sunn key. Phir uss waqt media ne bhi Sir ki kaafi badanami ki thi" said Tina as the sisters remembered the time when they had read the articles in the newspapers & media humiliating their brother and Ishwari communications.

Tina continued "Mainey uss waqt decide kiya ki main ek baar sir se milungi. Waisey Sir ne kabhi apni personal life ke baarey main yahan office main kisi se kuch nahi kaha lekin wo humesha humarey burey waqt main humara saath dete they aur unn honey mere career main bhi mera kaafi saath diya tha toh unkey burey waqt main mujhey unka saath toh dena hi tha" she said as tears glistened Riya's and Nikki's eyes, here was a person who was an ex-employee yet was so concerned about their brother yet they being his sisters could not support him when he was in the worst phase of his life.

"After a few days, probably around a month after the break up I came to meet Sir. But when I came here everything had changed. I saw Vicky being made the CEO and when I went to Sir's cabin what I saw there left me stunned. Sir was lying on the floor with the smell of Alcohol reeking from him, I called a few people to help me out and it was then I got to know that it was a common thing after the break up where in Sir would be drinking the whole day till he became senseless, in fact there would be days when he did not go home and would be lying senseless in the office cabin itself. But that day his health deteriorated a lot, we had to take him to the hospital. It was then that I saw Ranveer entering Ishwari Communications" said Tina as Riya and Nikki were left surprised as to why Ranveer had visited Dev at that time.

"Par Ranveer Bhaiya, aap Bhaiya se milney kyun aaye they?" asked Nikki

"Uss waqt mere aur Neha ke Divorce ka case bhi chal raha tha, main usi silsiley main Dev se milney aaya tha kyunki tumharey gharwalon main se koi mujhsey baat karna chahta tha aur na toh Neha bhi iss liye mujhey laga tha ki mujhey Dev se milna chahiye. Mujhey bhi uskey tootey huey shaadi ke baarey main pata chala tha lekin main bhi uss waqt khud apni zindagi ko samateney ki koshish kar raha tha" said Ranveer as the sisters remembered back the time when Neha was going through the Divorce and how she did not want to speak to Ranveer.

"Phir, Uskey baad kya hua tha?" asked Riya as Ranveer continued

"Uskey baad humney Dev ko hospital main admit kiya. Teen din tak wo hospital main tha aur doctors ne bhi humsey kaha ki agar aisa hi chalta raha toh bohot jald Dev ki tabiyat itni bigad jayegi ki usey bachana muhskil hoga. Jab Dev ko hosh aaya toh pehle toh wo shocked tha humey dekh kar phir humney usey sab kuch bataya. Usney pehle toh mujshey maafi maangi Neha ki taraf se aur phir humey mana kiya ki Ishwari niwas main hum kisi se bhi kuch na kahey" said Ranveer as Tina nodded as the sisters sat quietly with guilt gnawing them.

"Phir bhi humney kaafi koshish ki bataney ki. Tina ne Vicky se kaha bhi tha Dev ke baarey main lekin usney Tina ki hi insult kar di. Phir Tina ne Ishwari Niwas bhi call kiya tha lekin har baar Mami ya phir Vicky call utathey aur phone kaat dete they. Aur phir jab Dev ne bhi humey mana kar diya tha toh humney bhi wo koshish chodd di" said Ranveer as Riya and Nikki looked at each other, Vicky and Mamiji knew about it yet they did not inform it to anyone, anger was surging through them.

"Lekin mujhey ek baat batao tum dono ki Dev itney din ghar par nahi tha phir bhi tum logon main se kisi ne ye jaan ney ki koshish nahi ki wo kahan hai, kaisa hai. Zinda bhi hai ya phir mar gaya. Kya apney bhai ke liye tum logon ke itna bhi farz nahi tha?" asked Ranveer as the sisters were rendered speechless

"Humey maaf kar dijiye Bhaiya. Uss waqt hum bhaiya se itna gussa they ki unhoney Dr.Bose se apna rishta tod diya tha aur phir unkey family ko bhi beghar kar diya tha. Uskey baad wo humey bhi bhool gaye, hum unpey kaafi gussa they. Humey maaf kar dijiye" said Riya as the sisters sobbed while Ranveer and Tina looked on in pity, the sisters had realized their mistake but it was too late.

"Tumhey kya lagta hai Riya ki Dev iss sab se khush tha? Humey pata hai ki wo kiss gum se guzar raha tha. Dheere Dheere humney usey uskey alcohol addiction se bahar laaney ki koshish ki, wo bhi zindagi main aagey badhney ki koshish kar raha tha phir bhi kayi din aisey they jab wo poori tarah tooth jaata aur main uskey gum ko samajta tha kyunki Shayad main bhi usi gum se guzar raha tha. Hum dono ne apna pyar kho diya tha" said Ranveer as he remembered his time with Neha while as if on cue Tina held his hand letting the moment pass.

"Humey usi dauran ye pata chala ki Vicky ne hi wo eviction papers banvaye they lekin Dev ne wo baat jaaney di kyunki Waisey bhi Dr.Bose uskey zindagi se chaley gayi thi aur kisi ko pata bhi nahi tha ki wo kahan hai siwaye iskey ki shayad wo Kolkata wapas chali gayi hai apney family ke saath. Dev Sir bhi apney family se door rehney lagey" said Tina

She added "Uss waqt Ishwari communications bhi loss pe chal raha tha kyunki Vicky kuch bhi sambhal nahi paa raha tha aur phir kuch legal issues bhi honey lagey they. Main ney bhi Ishwari Communications wapas join kar liya tha. Humey tab ek Legal expert ki zaroorat thi and that is when we met her for the first time"

"Whom did you meet Tina?" asked Riya as Tina replied "MISHA"

On the other hand in Dev's cabin Misha continued speaking about Dev's past with Sonakshi

"I went the next day to the office with the intention to resign. Tina tried to make me understand but I was adamant and went to meet with Dev to submit my resignation" said Misha as her memory went back to that day

As Dev saw Misha entering his cabin he said "I am sorry for whatever happened yesterday" as she kept quiet and gave him the envelop, Dev opened it but was left stunned seeing her resignation letter

"Misha, what's this? Why are you resigning? asked Dev as Misha replied

"Because I do not want to work with someone who questions my character and then misbehaved with me" said Misha as Dev was left speechless, he was trying to remember when he misbehaved with her.

"Misha, I said I am sorry for yesterday, the situation was such that I thought something happened between us but when did I misbehave with you?" said a perplexed Dev

"Last night you tried to get intimate with me Mr.Dixit" said Misha in a cold tone as Dev was left speechless once again as he stammered "But...But when did I and why...why would I do that Misha?"

"BECAUSE YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE WITH SONAKSHI, MR.DIXIT"

Done, How was it??. Frankly, I am nervous as this is the part of the story which quite a few of the readers have been waiting for, so I do not whether I am able to do justice to their expectations or not. And I know this one would have been boring but it is important for the story to progress.
