June awakened with a heaving gasp, her back aching in legitimate pain as she tried to catch her breath. Her hands went to her stomach as she gasped, tears stinging her eyes as she looked up at the night sky. She was unsure where she was, what was happening, and why she was on the ground.  It took a few more moments before she remembered that she  was at Paradise Island,  they were running from cops, and she had fallen off of the roof.  No more going rogue.

She laid there in pain for only a few more moments, the girl rolling over and pushing herself up. She coughed as she did so, her body telling her no as she struggled to get up.

"Fuck." She wheezed out, finally getting to her feet. She bent over, putting her hands on her knees and letting out another loud cough, trying her best to regather herself. Finally she managed, the girl taking a few cautionary steps before leaning against a tree for a moment.

June listened to the grunts coming from around the corner, her feet stumbling across the ground as she spotted John B, the boy being beaten by two guards. She sucked up whatever strength she could muster, reaching down and grabbing a rock from the ground. She held it in her right hand, taking one last breath before running toward the guards. She hit one with the rock, the guy falling over as June tried to push the other one away. Instead the one she hit with the rock stood back up, grabbing her under the arms and throwing her to the ground.

"June!" John B yelled, trying to fight the grip of the guard that was on him.  Two more guards appeared out of seemingly nowhere, both of them reaching down and grabbing June. She fought against their grip, one of them holding her arm behind her back and the other pushing her forwards.

John B and June were thrown down beside each other, the four guards holding up guns to the two teens on the ground. One stepped forwards, pulling June up by the hood so that she was sitting in a crouched position beside John B. She started to feel darkness pull at her,  the urge to fall unconscious again becoming quite prominent.

"Who's calling Mr.Cameron?"

"I got video going." The guards discussed, the mention of the Cameron man making June's blood boil. She spared a glance in John Bs direction, a tight lipped smile coming across her face as she realized they had both been caught. There was no getting away now. The last person that needed to see the two of them alive was Ward Cameron, it would ruin everything.

June listened as Ward requested to look at the two of them, June not quite wanting to show her face. She looked at John B, her eyes wide as she thought of how to get out of this. There was nothing, no way.  Ward continued to yell through the phone, one of the guard grabbing June by the face and pulling her head back. A moment later the sprinklers cut on, June shielding her face as she was sprayed.  The guards scrambled to get the water off, the phone losing connection as the water soaked into it.

Finally the guard got the sprinklers off, June sitting back on her heels as she felt a deep pain enter her spine. She felt the urge to pass out once again, knowing that with her luck, she was concussed.

"What is going on?" They all heard a voice, Sarah coming around the corner, a canister of  bug spray in her hand.  June felt a little relief as she saw her, even though they were all still in a  bad situation.

"Who are you?" The guards questioned, their guns pointing to Sarah as John B looked over at June who looked on the verge of unconsciousness. "Hey hold it right there."

"I'm Val I'm house sitting for the Cameron's."

"You live here?" The guard asked, slowly lowering his gun.

"No, I'm house-sitting. I just started a week ago."

"We caught these guys tryna break in."

"What?" Sarah rounded the corner, her eyes latching onto John B and the slowly debilitating June. "Oh I know them. He cleans boats for the neighbors, she plants flowers."

"Which neighbors?"

"Like the Stanley's, down the street." Sarah said in an unsure voice, her eyes flitting to June who looked like she was about to pass out and die.

"What's his name?"

"Vlad." Sarah lifted the bug spray, pressing the button and sending it shooting into the guards eyes. June took this as her chance, the girl launching forwards and pulling the gun from one of the guards hands. John B pulled her up the rest of the way by the hood, the girl running to the car alongside Sarah. The other girl jumped into the back, June running to get inside the front with John B. Sarah yelled as the guard caught up, grabbing Sarah's legs and trying to pull her off.

"Oh shit!" John B said, pressing the gas and sending the guy falling to the ground. June sat back in her seat as she realized they had made it, her heart beating ridiculously in her chest as she tried to catch her breath. She could feel her heartbeat in her temples, tlaking that as a not good sign for her health. She closed her eyes for only a moment, feeling so much better already.

"Hey hey! No. You cant go to sleep you gotta wake up. June! Wake up." John B said , lifting his hand to tap the side of her face. The girl reopened her eyes, looking to John B with a small smile as she struggled to keep her eyes open. John B groaned when he looked back over, noticing that her eyes were beginning to roll into the back of her head. He grabbed her by the back of the neck, his eyes wide as he looked between her and the road. He sat her forwards, the girl letting out a sigh as she realized there was no way he was going to leave her alone so that she could get some sleep.

"June! Hello! Wake up sleepy it's not time for bed."  John B said,  holding her chin in his hand and trying to shake her awake like that. He looked back at the road for a millisecond, his eyes immediately going back to the problem at hand, June. "June?"

"What? What John B? Jeez can't a girl get some  sleep?" She whined, her eyes reopening as he let out a contented sigh.

"Yeah but  just not this girl. She needs to wake up, because we got stuff to do buddy. Hey! Open your eyes." He was a little upset at Sarah's no help, but he pushed the thoughts of her away and how angry she was at him.  He finally pulled the truck over, cutting it off and sitting up so that he could now pay full attention to June.

He hovered over her fully now, one hand gripping her chin while the other one lightly smacked her cheek to wake her up. She looked dead tired,  John B figuring that this was from where she had fallen off  the roof. His hand immediately shot to the back of her head, his fingertips finding a patch of wetness on her scalp. He pulled his fingers back, looking at the bright red on his hand and the punching the seat, a curse leaving his lips. This was the last thing they needed right now.

"John B." Sarah said from behind him, her eyes falling on June . "What happened?" She asked, wide eyed and confused. She didn't know anything had happened to June. John B remained straddling June's lap, his eyes wide as he looked back at Sarah who looked beyond confused.

"She fell-she fell off the roof. She's probably got a concussion Uh i don't know she's bleeding on the back of her head. Fuck! Give me a minute." He said, Sarah immediately springing into action and running to the other side. She was laid across the seat, John B pulling her legs out straight as he tried to continue to towel her awake.

June turned her head a little bit, feeling the urge to puke and running with it. She pulled herself over the edge of the seat, the girl retching as she began to puke into the ground outside.

"That's not...that's not good." Sarah said, her hand flying to her head as she tried to think of what to do. When June finished, John B pulled her back inside, the girl groaning as she sat back against the seat.

"Feel any better?" He asked her, her eyes finding his face as she lifted a hand to the back of her head.  She nodded slowly, her eyes wide open now that she had puked everywhere.  He let go of her now, immediately rounding the car to make it to Sarah, who looked way beyond pissed.

"I have never loved you more Sarah Cameron. That was crazy! You straight up donkey-kicked that dude-" She pushed  him back, her face full of anger as she did so.

"You lied to me!"

"What are you talking about? We're fine." He asked, confusion on his face.

"No we're not fine! You lost the only money we had! You almost got us all caught ,  if not shot. June  looks like she's about to die!  How is that okay?!" Sarah yelled, John B feeling a twinge of regret.

"I'm proactively admitting I  screwed up and willing—" Sarah cut him off, her tone deadly.

"Proactively admitting doesn't do anything! I have lost my father. I have lost my brother. I have lost my little sister. I can't lose you."

"Look it won't happen again." John B apologized, his eyes wide as she snapped at him.

"I'm calling the shots now. And to start, I'm driving."  Sarah said, heading towards the drivers seat. She stopped, heading in the other direction and towards the passenger seat. "I can't drive stick."

They both slid into the seat, John B propping up June while he started the car. Sarah reached over, running a hand over the still conscious girls face.

"We're gonna figure something out June. Hang in there." She reassured her, the brunette gripping Sarah's hand as beads of sweat appeared on her face.

"Okay."
