Excitement was an understatement as the six teens caught up on the boat. June March was seated on JJ Maybanks lap, her smile never faltering as they all joked and told stories of their time apart. The attention was currently on John B, the boy detailing how they had never stopped running from the cops.

"So I look at June and I tell her 'June, do not go rogue. We need to stick to the plan.' Of course she doesn't listen, she climbs up to the roof and then she slips off. And then fresh out of her unconsciousness she attacks a guard with a rock, and then steals his gun." John B exclaimed, June chuckling at the way he put it. She reached into her waistband, pulling the gun from it and holding it up so that they could all see.

"Still got it." June said, pointing it at John B. He launched forwards again, grabbing the gun from her hand and shaking his head like he had done the day before. She scoffed, reaching into her back pocket and pulling out the bullets.  "You need to calm down." She said, all of them watching as John B flipped her off. They all broke into laughter, JJ looking up at the girl with adoration in his eyes. This was all he had wanted. June chuckled again, looking down at the boy who was staring up at her, her smile still never faltering as she looked at him. They maintained their eye contact for a moment, JJ wanting nothing more than to kiss her. He felt like he hadn't kissed her in years.

"Kids look away. JJs about to kiss his woman." JJ said, his eyes still glued to her face. The other four teens groaned, all of them turning away as JJ lifted his hand to her cheek, his fingers reaching the hair by her ear. She giggled at his words, grabbing him by the collar and pulling his lips to hers, the two of them breathing out a sigh of devastating relief. This kiss had been better than their first one, better than the one after midsummers and better than the one before she left.

The four teens started to fake gag, all of them trying to hide their own relief that the two finally made it back to each other.  They had all experienced one side of the couples heartache and suffering, and there was no doubt in any of their minds that they were happy to see the suffering end.

June pulled back first, the girl lifting her hand to his face and running her thumb over his lip. He let out a contented sigh, opening his eyes slowly as he savored the feeling of the two of them being here, right now. This was all he ever needed.

"I love you." June spit out, the smile on her face speaking the words as well as she pressed a kiss to his forehead. He looked at her with wide eyes, pulling her into an embrace filled with so much love and heartbreak that June couldn't even think of how to reciprocate it. A part of him had died when he thought she did, and so to have her in his arms now, he didn't even know how to express the way he felt.  It was a miracle. He loved her beyond words, his eyes filling with tears as he let go of all the pain he had endured while she was gone.

"JJ! Tell her you love her too!" Pope called from the other end of the boat, June chuckling as she pulled back from JJs embrace.

"Oh yeah! Right. I love you too. So much." He said, furrowing his eyebrows and nodding. June joined him in the nodding, the four other teens turning around and John B starting a slow clap. The boy felt satisfaction in his soul that at least he had done something right, he had kept one promise. He had gotten them all back together. And better yet, he had gotten June back to JJ.

June stood from her spot on JJs lap, a smile on her lips as she made her way over to John B who was still slow clapping. She launched at him, tackling him in his spot as the rest of them burst into extreme laughter.

"Way to ruin the moment dickhead." June said, yelling at him as if she was winning, even though she was very much not winning. John B had flipped her over, her hands pinned down beside her head as the others laughed. June let out a huff as she realized she had been got,  John B breathing heavily as he stared down  at the defeated girl.

"I'm sorry did you think you were gonna win that?" He laughed out, June rolling her eyes up at him. She pushed him off, shaking her head as she made her way back over to JJ.

"Thanks for the no help." She said, sitting down beside him instead of on his lap. She feigned anger, crossing her arms over her chest and letting the wind whip through her hair, the girl wanting nothing more than a shower at the moment.

"Hey you picked the fight! Not me!" JJ said, raising his hands in surrender as he looked at John B. The boat soon erupted into separate conversations , all of them laughing and continuing to catch up.  June was now gripping JJs hand, following her every move like what was a lost puppy. The sound of her laugh was like music to his ears, and every time she said his name he couldn't help but adore the way it sounded rolling off of her tongue.

JJ tried to push the intrusive thought from his head, the ones that reminded him of the things that Adam had said about June. He couldn't help but wonder how much truth was behind those allegations of his, JJs stomach turning as he thought about Rafe having ever touched June. Finally her pushed those thought away, standing and telling a story of his own.

June however was taking notice of the tension between Pope and Kie, her and Sarah sharing glances every time  they did something. June pulled  JJ over by the neck, bring her lips to his ear and whispering.

"Whats up with Pope and Kie? What'd I miss?" She said, a chill going down JJs spine as her lips touched his ear. June noticed the tremble, her eyes widening as he jumped back slightly. She bit the inside of her cheek to keep her laugh from coming out, the girl realizing the affect she had on him and not quite knowing what to say.

"Uh-uh they um...they're a thing I guess." He said, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. Usually he was calm and collected and cool around June but something about her now, made his nerves get all worked up. June didn't quite care about the question she had asked, her attention now on JJ who couldn't seem to look her in the eye because of what she had don't. June bit back a smile, lifting her hand and dropping it onto his thigh, waiting to see how he would react to this motion.

The blonde shifted slightly, clearing his throat as he tried to pay attention or anything but her hand. However he felt the pit in his stomach deepen as he she slid her hand up the slightest bit, his eyes widening.

"June." He warned, his hands dropping to the seat beside him as he still refused to look at her. She let out a short 'hm' the boy feeling the lump in his throat grow as she kept her hand in place. She smirked, shifting slightly so that she was leaning on him, her eyebrows raising as she made her way back up to his ear, her lips brushing against it.

"Do you remember that time when you left me on the boat with Sarah and Kie?" June said, JJ closing his eyes as he tried not to flip out. She knew what she was doing now, driving him crazy that she was purposefully  causing him to act like this in front of  everyone. No one was paying attention, but they were still there.

"Yeah." He choked out, recalling exactly what she was talking about.

"Remember when you told me that you'd make it up to me?" She whispered, trying not to laugh again as he nodded. "I fully expect you to make it up to me still. You better keep that promise. Or I'll beat your ass." June teased, pulling back from his ear and standing from her seat. She walked over to Sarah and Kie who were talking, the two girls smiling at her. JJ watched after her his mouth dropped open in awe as she sent him an innocent look, the corner of her lip turning up. Oh yeah, he had missed her.

Yay my babies are back together!! And they finally get to be a couple for more than a few days!!!  The tension 😀😀😀 I'm so excited to write them together again 😭😭
