Back to the hospital

Hanna  stood in front of the mirror. She remembered how fresh she appeared before and how dull her face was now.

She stood near the bathroom door, gripping a perfume bottle. She would spray some on Alex as soon as he  would get out from shower. "Why would someone be harmed only with the smell of geranium? ....... I like it. It smells good." She muttered to herself.

After some seconds, the door cracked open. Hanna's feet were cold. She was alert but however Alex came out with a normal smile.

Seeing him normal, Hanna was relieved but still, she sprayed the perfume on him as a precaution.

Alex said nothing. Instead, he kissed her on the forehead and went to wear his shoes. Hanna watched him going with her a crying heart...

Yes- she decided not to shed a tear in front of Alex. She would rather cry internally.

The clock struck exactly at 10:00 and they were in the car.

"Ehemm! Hanna! About my illness. I had to tell you not to inform this to my mom." Alex said confidently.

"Why?" Hanna asked, amazed.

"Well you know that mom loves me a lot. If she finds about this she'll stress a lot and her blood pressure will lose balance. I don't want that.

"Ohh!!... Yeah fine, we won't tell her." Hanna answered.

By deciding so, Alex made her task easy. It would be better for her if very little people knew about that. After all, the matter was very delicate.

After a 30 minutes drive, they arrived at Mandy's cabin. His assistant informed that he was having breakfast so if they could wait for 10 minutes.

"Who eats breakfast at this time?" Alex laughed.

*****

"Granny Sandra has the best hand in cooking." Mandy said to himself as he licked his fingers.

"Doctor, you have patients." A peon intervened.

"Yes yes, coming." He said with his mouth stuffed.

He rearranged his tiffin box in his drawer and went to attend Hanna and Alex.

"Hello young man". He greeted Alex.

"Hi Doctor." Alex replied.

"So are you ready for your second therapy?" Mandy asked.

"Actually about that, can I know what kind of illness I'm suffering from?" Alex asked with curiosity.

"Well... I'm sorry young man. I'm not allowed to divulge this. Really sorry." Mandy answered.

Alex looked confused. Before he could say anything, Hanna interrupted: "I've forbidden him! I just don't you to know. But believe me, you will soon be cured."

"I trust you." Alex smiled. "Doctor. I'm ready."

Hanna smiled back but inside she felt hurt.

"Okay so my boy, you have nothing special to do. You just have to lay down there and close your eyes. I will give you an injection, so, please cooperate with me." He said as he winked at Alex and helped him to lay down.

11 seconds after the injection, Alex was unconscious.

"Sit down Hanna." Mandy commanded.

After they were comfortable, Mandy started to narrate everything that Granny Sandra told her.

"She can really do that?" Hanna asked with wide eyes.

"Do what?" Mandy asked back.

"Communicate with a spirit?" Hanna whispered.

"Well I didn't witness her doing it, but I surely felt some non-human presence at her house." Mandy justified.

"But how can we find out anything about the one possessing Alex by talking to another spirit?" Hanna was confused.

"We must first find out if anyone else knows about all this disasters. But who?" Mandy said, holding his head.

Hanna got up from her seat and walked towards the window. She looked not only upset, but guilt too. She stared outside for a long time and then turned back to face Mandy.

"I know! My parents had refused my alliance with Alex when they found that he came from the Rose family. There must be a concrete reason for that. We.... We need to talk to them!" Hanna explained with a little hope on her face.

"That's a great idea. We need to meet them as soon as possible."

"But.... But do you think they would want to meet me?" Hanna said suddenly, dropping her small smile.

Mandy stared at her quietly.

"I married against their will." Hanna finished her explanation.

"Oh.. But no need to worry my girl. I will talk to them. After knowing the phase through which you're going, they will surely help." Mandy reassured her.

Hanna nodded  as Mandy offered her a glass of water.

Mandy look at Hanna with a frown on his face. He came up with another idea.

"Maybe we can communicate with Sara's soul?" Finally he said.

Hanna opened her eyes wider. She started to sweat.
She instantly recalled when she was shown that she had murdered Sara. But then her fear turned to rage.

"I did not kill her!" She shouted, frustrated.

"Okay okay. Chill. I was just suggesting. But if she is not dead, where is she?" Mandy doubted.

Hanna sat back, scratched her head, and then glared at Mandy.

"Tomorrow, I will take you to her house. When you'll see her, you will get all your answers on your own. But I'm already telling you. I didn't kill my best friend." Hanna emphasized.

"I'm sorry Hanna. I was saying that as I thought Sara might give us some clue. If she's alive, it will be more favorable for us." Mandy apologized.

"She is alive!" Hanna glared at Mandy, breathing hardly.

She did say that her best friend was alive, but inside her mind she hoped that her statement was true.

"Tomorrow, reach my cabin at 8 in the morning. We'll leave from here for your parent's house." Mandy said.

Hanna nodded and walked out the cabin. She sat outside waiting for Alex to get back consciousness. She sat there blankly. She had no tears left to shed.

After about 30 minutes, Alex came out with a smiling face. He hugged Hanna, turned back to shake hands with Mandy and then left holding his girl's hand.

As they were walking away, Hanna turned around and looked at Mandy who blinked his eyes at her, giving a sigh that everything was fine........
