As the car was approaching the house of the Rose's, Hanna started to find it more difficult to breathe.
She recalled all the pain that she'd been through.
Mandy could sense her fear. He was determined to find out the truth behind those green eyes.

After a 3 minutes drive, the black Mercedes stopped right in front of the entrance of the huge house. Hanna's legs trembled as she stepped out of the car. She noticed some people well-adorned in the garden. They were here for the reception. They watched Hanna with suspicious eyes and stared at Mandy.

Hanna lowered her gaze and showed Mandy the way to the entrance of the house. Hanna's heart rate increased more and more as she walked in the house. Mandy could feel there some secrets buried in that house. What kind of secrets?- That he'll have to find out.

Suddenly, they heard a voice: "Hanna! What are you doing there? Where were you?".

They both raised their heads upwards and Hanna saw her mother in law, Jenna was coming downstairs. She came near Hanna and greeted Mandy.

"Who is that?", she questioned Hanna.

"Oh, hello. I am Mandy. You called for a doctor right? Hanna came to fetch me. I lost my way." Mandy answered.

"Oh yes. Thank you for coming on a short notice doctor. The patient is in the second room upstairs. Please...." Jenna stated, showing concern on her face.

"Yes sure!" Mandy answered.

They went in the room. Alex laid down on bed. He was unconscious.

"What happened to him?" Mandy asked.

"I really don't know doctor. I came here and I found him laying on the floor. I tried to wake him up but in vain".

"Alright, can you please leave the room for some minutes?" Mandy requested.

Hanna moved out the room along with Jenna. Jenna looked at Hanna.

"Where were you Hanna?" Jenna asked.

"I was here itself." She replied.

"No. I mean where were you when all this happened?" Jenna corrected herself.

"I was in the bathroom and when I got out I just found Alex on the floor. I called for help but no one came. And ...and .. Umm and then.. Then I rushed downstairs to search for you but didn't found you anywhere. I went out to get help but there was no soul out there. But luckily I met Dr Mandy on the road. I told him everything and he said that he was called here so we came together... Yes- this is what...what happened." Hanna answered, stammering.

"Yes, I called the doctor actually. I just pray that there's nothing serious about my son." Jenna said.

Hanna nodded. She felt sorry for her mother in law. After a course of time. Mandy opened the door and allowed them to enter.

"Well, there is nothing to worry about. He just had a blackout. He will  be back to sense within about one hour. He needs rest." Mandy confirmed.

Hanna was afraid to come near Alex. Her hands shivered. The room was cold but she was still sweating.

"However," Mandy continued, "You will have to bring him to the hospital for a check up. Hanna, you reach there with Alex before noon, tomorrow".

Hanna nodded a yes. Mandy looked at Hanna firmly and blinked his eyes. He went towards Jenna and assured her that nothing was serious.
Then he started to walk out the door...

"Stop!" Hanna shouted. "Doctor Mandy, now that you are here, stay for the reception party".

"Oh yes please. Don't leave without having dinner." Jenna insisted.

"I'm pleased with the invitation but I will leave early", Mandy answered.

"No problem", Jenna said. 

They went downstairs and announced to the guests that Alex was not feeling well, so he would be attending the reception later.

It was around 7 pm and dinner was served.
Everyone cheered up around the table. Hanna faked a smile with anyone who chatted with her. She was starting to suffocate in that house. She pretended to be happy because of Jenna. Yes- her mother in law loved her a lot, so, she decided not look sad in front of Jenna's guests, otherwise her mother in law would feel embarrassed.

Everyone were busy eating their dinner. They suddenly heard someone coughing. It was Alex, he had gained consciousness and was walking down the stairs. Mandy and Jenna quickly rushed toward him to help him.

"Somebody bring some water!" Jenna shouted.

Hanna quickly grabbed a glass of water and offered it to her husband. Tears fell from her tired eyes. No matter what, she still had a soft corner for Alex.

"I'm fine guys, chill." He shouted. "Mom, relax."

"Why are you smelling like geranium?" Jenna asked curiously.

As Alex started to smell his coat Hanna quickly justified: " Ummm..... When we were getting ready, I sprayed geranium perfume on him".

"Awwwe, so romantic", the crowed murmured.

"Ya, I saw the bottle on the floor in your room, in a broken state." Jenna raised an eyebrow.

"I'm sorry, it fell from my hands when I saw Alex unconscious". Hanna apologized.

"No worries. We'll buy a new". Jenna smiled.

They all continued with their dinner. After that they raised a toast for the newly married couple. Hanna swallowed hardly. She stayed by the side of Alex during the whole party. She was scared to hell. Mandy observed Alex closely. He had no green eyes. He suspected that Hanna lied about the perfume thing. But why?-he wondered.

It was time for Mandy to leave. He met Hanna.

"Tomorrow, make sure you come to the hospital alone with Alex. Do not bring your mother in law". He whispered to Hanna.

The latter nodded in despair. The way she looked at Mandy made him melt. He did not want to leave Hanna alone in that house. But he had no other choices. He left the house with a heavy heart........
