Rose received the call, stating Kayla was arrested for murder. She was extremely in shock, especially hearing that Caleb was the victim. Rose immediately paid Kayla a visit. The next day, she went out making sure she paid Kayla's bail. Once everything was approved, Kayla was under house arrest.

The next morning, Rose was calling work, letting them know that she needed a few weeks off. Kayla waited patiently for her mother to be off the phone. She had questions. Not about the law; but about her dad. The man she never met.

Once Rose was off the phone, she went straight to find a room or something to clean.

Kayla thought that this was a good time to ask.

"Mom?"

"Yes Kayla."

"Could you tell me about dad?"

Rose stopped and paused for a minute. She couldn't believe what she heard.

Kayla mostly asked Caleb but never Rose.

Rose looked at Kayla with watery eyes, and nodded.

Rose's side of the stories were always starting great, but slowly ended terrible.

Rose met Daniel in Chicago, outside of the Bears Stadium in fact. Daniel asked Rose to join him once for dinner, and had a marvelous time. Soon they started to get into a strong, foundational relationship; which soon led to marriage.

After two years of marriage, Daniel joined the Navy Seals. Fellow soldiers called him "Ghost". He would be with the squad during heavy fire, quickly disappear then regular fire meters away.

He was able to come back home, and to see Caleb grow to four years old. Little did he realize, the Navy wanted him back.

This made Rose to be nervous and angry with Daniel. She thought he left for good but; it seemed that pirates were starting to try and over take U.S. Battleships.

Rose waited for the next time Daniel walked through the door. She had divorce papers ready. She couldn't live with her son and daughter if Daniel would ever come home.

A week before he would arrive a knock came on her door. She received a letter stating that her husband Daniel had died.

Kayla was only three when the letter came to her door.

Kayla couldn't believe that her mother Rose, would ever be mad because her dad had joined the military, and had to return.

The rest of the day, Kayla just sat in the living room, shocked, confused and very disappointed that her mother would ever want to have a divorce.
