-Paul's P.O.V-

We waited impatiently for Marko to bring her back. He told us through our mind link that he had found her. With my hands behind my back, I paced back and forth. The ultimatum Max had given us worried me more than anything else. She would definitely leave us if we urged her to change if this is how she responded to seeing Lauren's true form. Don't think like that' I told myself. But it was no use.

"Paul, come here" Lauren's low voice sounded. I walked over to her and rubbed her shoulders.

"Are you having the same thought?" I asked her. She didn't have to say anything, I knew she was. She turned her head and lightly kissed her hand.

"18" Dwayne piped up.

"Huh?" The three of us turned to look at him. David remaining silent.

"Tell her when she's 18" he finished.

"I don't want to tell her at all" Lauren sulked.

"I know babe, but we have to, Max's orders"

"Fuck Max" Lauren spat, causing David to let out a loud chuckle.

"How long till her birthday?" David questioned.

"2 months" I sighed.

"Look who I found!" Marko's yelled.

We all quickly turned to see him carrying Sienna on his back. She hid her face behind him. Lauren instantly stood up when Marko put our little girl down, she didn't move to her though. Giving her a weak smile, she opened up her arms. I watched Sienna walk towards her mom with caution, both of them tightly embracing each other.

"I'm so sorry" I heard Lauren mumble.

"Where did you find her" I asked Marko who was watching the girls.

"By some tracks" Marko said. "She's very easy to find, I don't know how you guys keep loosing her"

"Thanks bud" I made my way over to the girl and wrapped my arms around both of them. "Group hug!"

"Go away" Lauren joked, playfully pushing me.

"No! She's my child too"

"Yeah but dad you're crushing us, I can't breathe" Sienna giggle.

"Oh my bad" I let them both go. Sienna reached up and kissed my cheek.

"Love you kid"

"Love you dad"

-Marko's P.O.V-

I smiled to myself, watching the three of them have their little 'family' moment. I greeted Dwayne with and nod and slumped down onto the couch. My rest didn't last long though.

"Marko" David sternly spoke and motioned for me to follow him.

I sighed and stood up, he led us deep into the cave where we sleep, away from everyone else. He came to a stop and I leaned against the cave wall, chewing on one of my nails. David let out a sigh and shook his head. What could he possible have to talk to me about so privately.

"So?"

"So what?"

"Anything you have to say or tell me ?"

"Not that I'm aware of" I let out an awkward laugh seeing how serious he was.

"So you're telling me you don't feel anything?" He raised his eyebrow.

"David what are you talking about?"

"Sienna and you" I felt myself begin to frown. "She's your mate Marko"

"Oh please" I burst into a fit of laughter. David could be funny when he wanted to be. "What crack are you on and can I have some cause damn"

"You think I'm joking?"

"I know you're joking! Sienna and I are just friends. Nothing more, nothing less" I explained.

"So you're telling me that you don't find it weird how you're always the first to find her when she goes missing or the fact that you two are extremely close and have this 'indescribable bond' as she puts it?"

"Well that's clearly from her being a child! We've been close since then and it just continued" we both stayed silent for a few seconds. David soon piped up again.

"She's pretty no?" David mockingly raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, she's beautiful I've always said that. But just because I think that doesn't mean I like her in any other way. I just admire good genes"

"Marko, you're in denial" I huffed and pushed myself off of the wall.

"No, You're crazy" I shook my head and turned to walk away.

"Can you honestly tell me that you haven't thought about her as more than a friend at least once! I saw your face when Max said she'll have to leave if she doesn't turn Marko! I'm not stupid" I stopped in my tracks and turned to face him.

"Listen to me very carefully. Me and Sienna are friends. That's it. She's not my soul mate or my mate nothing! I have no romantic feelings towards her and I don't want to spend the rest of eternity with her in that way. I don't believe in that stupid shit. And before you say anything, Paul just got lucky and found a girl who doesn't mind being a monster. Now drop it!" I spat and continued on.

"You'll see! Sooner or later you'll realise. And it'll be when you least expect it and when it does come and find me" his dark laugh echoed through the tunnel. I made my way back to the main entrance, instantly forgetting about the conversation that took place.
