-Lauren's P.O.V-

Sienna eventually retreated off to bed without a word and Paul finally returned to the rest of us, calmer than earlier. You could feel the tension from earlier. I was still stunned at his choice, though I understood that he was angry and not thinking. I could see his mind going, full of regret. My daughter was fine, right now I had to put my focus on my man.

"Baby, can we go for a walk just me and you?" I asked softly.

Turning to face me, he gave a nod. Together, we left the cave in silence  I was expecting to go somewhere to walk by bike until I felt Paul pick me up and lift us both off of the ground. I clung to him tightly, smiling to myself as I saw where we were heading. Paul gently set me down. I took off my shoes, holding them with my left hand, taking a hold of his arm with the other. The sand felt amazing against my feet.

"Do you remember the first thing you said to me when you found me here?" I giggled leaning into him as we walked.

"Oh yeah" Paul laughed along with me.

"If I remember correctly it was 'Hey hot stuff how's it going?'" I mocked. "Oh god that was decades ago"

"And look at us now" he said triumphantly. He beamed down at me and kissed me passionately. we walked on a little further before he stopped to stare out into the distance.

"Paul?"

"I fucked up" he admitted. "I went too far"

"No baby you didn't" I tried to comfort him.

"Lauren please" he stopped me. "I know she's seventeen but she's still my baby girl. She can't protect herself like we can, she's still human. I know men and the way she was dressed tonight"

"Stop! I don't even want to think about what your about to say"

"I'm just saying, they think they'll have a right" Paul sighed and pulled a cigarette from his pocket. "And now I fucked up"

"We can sit her down tomorrow and talk to her about it, just me and you" I told him.

"I didn't mean for it to come out Lauren, I know you weren't ready to tell her yet"

"It doesn't matter now" I shushed him and wrapped my arms around his waist, his left arm draped over my shoulder as he smoked.

"Why has she change though?"

"I have no idea, her attitude is questionable though" I admitted.

I stopped and thought for a second. I thought back to the past few days, when her attitude started to change, trying to pin point what went wrong but I couldn't think of nothing. Until a certain thing popped into my head.

"I remember her acting weird when Marko brought a girl home" I said looking up at Paul who returned my gaze.

"Yeah, she got all moody like didn't she"

"You don't think?"

"What her and Marko?" I suggested. Paul looked away from me, frowning to himself. Both of our minds turning at the same time. We both quickly looked back at each other.

"Nah" we said in unison, clearing any ridiculous thought out of our mind.

"Let's go home, like you said, we'll talk tomorrow"

-Paul's P.O.V-

I threw my jacket onto the fountain when we got back to the cave. I sighed to myself and ran a hand through my hair before going over to Sienna's door. I was hoping that she would be awake.

I slowly turned the handle, the door creaking a little before making my way inside. I saw her, her eyes closed. She looked so peaceful. I felt so bad for yelling at her but she had to be told. It was rare that I ever had to tell her off when she was growing up. I looked to my right and saw her brown teddy bear that I had gifted her when she was younger sat on a dressing table. I picked it up and slowly walked to her. Kneeling down, I carefully lifted her arm, placing the bear next to her. I placed a kiss on the side of her head before turning to walk away.

"I love you dad, I'm sorry" I heard her soft voice say. I smiled to myself and turned to face her

"We'll talk tomorrow. I love you too now get some sleep" I watched her close her eyes, cuddling the bear closer to her. I left the room, closing the door behind me.
