Challenge 8: Which character from a book would you most like to meet and why?
I really don't know which one to pick! I've been thinking about this one for a few days now and no one definite has come to mind! So I suppose I'll just have to list a couple and then decide from there. Perhaps writing it down will give me some clarity.
Harry Potter is a great character of course (or maybe I'm biased because I love the series), but he's a bit of a dork sometimes. Maybe his mind/ personality was intentionally written to be as short- sighted as his vision. A lot of things he works out/ does are due to the great support of his friends. There are actually very few things he does purely alone, of his own volition (Many of the things that happened to him are due to the enchantments and actions of others) I suppose I'd like to ask him what he thinks life would have been like if it were Neville that had become “the chosen one” and not him. How he thought life would have been like had Voldemort never existed, or if he'd totally turned character and done the whole remorse thing. There's so many questions I still ask about the Harry Potter series that I imagine we'd be talking for a long time.
Secondly, and this is not particularly a character, rather a physical person; I think there's a lot of people out there who would've loved to have met Anne Frank. She was truly a good soul and if she were able to witness life today, I would love to talk to her about it and hear her opinions on things such as religion, equality, hatred, and poverty. She must have experienced some of these things herself in her lifetime.
I can't really think of anyone else at the moment, so I think it is fitting to leave this piece at that. Taking both a real person and an imagined one that I'd like to meet. Who are some of the characters you'd love to have a long talk with?
