Dear Marilyn Manson, 

Might I begin by saying thank you. For your songs, for the things you've said, and for your extraordinary uniqueness that, so far, hasn't been replicated or equalled. 

I've been a fan of yours for a few years now- and I can say that every second of calling myself "a fan" has been 100% worth it. I'm so glad I met Ashley and listened to more of your music because of his suggestions. In fact one of your songs was the first song he played to me on guitar.

Seeing you at Download Festival this 2015 was just sublime. Sure, you looked- and probably was- absolutely hammered, but it was like... Like seeing Jesus. And anyway I imagine you like to do whatever the hell you want. I couldn't quite believe it was happening. I screamed all sorts of random shit. You HUMPED AN ALTAR. And it ended as abruptly as it began. I was a sleep- deprived and slightly damp Disciple of the God of Fuck meeting my prophet.  I feel so honoured to have that memory in my mind forever.

But I digress. There is so much I wish I could ask you; so many stories I want to hear more of. I can hardly believe half of the stuff you describe in your autobiography- and I bet there's loads more hanging out elsewhere that I haven't even seen yet. If you could change one thing about your past, what would it be? Would you change anything about what you have now? And what are your plans for the future?

I honestly don't know what song is my favourite. Every time I come back to your music I discover something else I love. And I hope that keeps happening for years to come.
