Challenge 13: A super short 120- word microfiction
As I approached the deserted house at the end of the road, I saw the howling rush of water in the far distance. How had I become trapped here? What had even happened at that party yesterday? Then again, it might not have even been yesterday. God knows how long I was out for. Wait, what if I was drugged? I stumbled backwards, feeling totally isolated. Nobody else was here, only (as I discovered earlier) a stoic old woman at the other end of town, miles from the shore. She had not allowed me in her home. I looked up desperately; even the birds were gone.
I watched as the storm closed in on our seaside home. I was alone.
