"Good morning."

Dr Song smiled brightly seeing Meera and Daniel. The couple took a seat and smiled back. Dr Song explained her about the check ups giving her diet chart, time table for appointments and what all she should do. When the check up was done, Daniel asked the doctor to talk to Meera about her health. The girl was changing into her usual clothes in a different room so she did not have any idea.

"Is everything okay?" Meera asked as she took a seat. Their expressions didn't look good which scared her. Daniel held her hand and looked at the doctor.

"Meera, you're still young. Your body isn't ready for the changes. It will be difficult for you later on." Dr Song tried to make her words less hurtful. She was indirectly asking her to consider abortion. Meera was in a deep thought. She understood it but didn't want to believe it. "S-So.. what are you trying to imply?"

Dr Song sighed, "you should consider abortion. It won't make you a horrible mother. You will be taking decision for yourself and the baby as well. You need to be mentally, emotionally and physically strong to be a mother. And you're not ready, physically."

Meera looked at Daniel for some kind of reaction or words. He could only tighten his hold around her hand. "Your health is more important for me. We can have a baby when you're ready. Please think about it Meera."

But she shook her head. "I gave up a lot for this baby. I can't give up this baby too. Please Daniel. I know that I'm being unreasonable but please understand. My parents disowned me. Now I have only you and this baby with me. And abortion could lead to complications later on. What if I'm not able to conceive again? P-Please."

She begged and Daniel could do nothing. He looked at the doctor who sighed again.

"Well it's your decision. If you want to keep this baby I'm here for you as a doctor. But you need to keep in mind that you have to be ten times more careful that other pregnant woman. You have to take care of yourself whether it's your food, medicines, check ups and other things."

"Yes. I'll do everything required! But please let me keep this baby."

The doctor smiled and told the couple about their sessions, dos and don'ts. She wrote down the important things and asked Daniel to get the medicines from the pharmacy in the hospital.

"See you soon and remember... no stress."

Daniel and Meera quietly sat on the seats with their head hung low. The person opposite to them narrowed his eyes at the couple. He had his arms crossed against his chest. Meera gulped feeling nervous under his gaze and Daniel seemed to notice it. He intervened their fingers and gave her a reassuring nod.

"Jaehwan. You're stressing her. And it's not good for her health."

Jaehwan's frown turned into a smile. He leaned on the table and held Meera's hands. He gripped them gently. "I'm really happy for you."

"You're not mad?" Meera asked hesitantly. She was really worried when she contacted him. She wanted to tell him about her pregnancy and what all happened. And she did. Jaehwan was in a shock for a few minutes before eyeing the couple but now he was smiling and supporting her. It was confusing and scary.

"I'm not mad. Just worried about you. It will be difficult for you but don't worry. I'm here. Okay? You can count on me."

Meera's heart melted at his words. She sniffled and looked away to wipe her tears. Jaehwan stood and hugged her from the side. He pat her shoulders comforting her. "Everything is fine. Uncle Jaehwan is here for the baby." The girl ended up chuckling. He lightly caressed her hair. Seeing the scene in front Daniel relaxed. He knew how much this guy meant to Meera and his views and opinions mattered to her. But his body stiffened when his eyes met Jaehwan's. The boy's glare could kill him. Daniel gulped and looked away. He knew from that look that he was done for.

"Meera. Come here! Lunch is ready."

Yuta called out as he brought a tray from the kitchen. Being an angel, Yuta called a friend, Ten, to help him since Daniel and Meera would be busy for a few days. The Jung couple gave him some days off work to settle in properly. The news of pregnancy was big for all of them.

"Coming." Meera stood up and invited Jaehwan for lunch. But he refused. "I have to visit Hae Ra."

"Hae Ra?" She raised a brow at his sentence. Even Daniel couldn't hide his curiosity. Jaehwan rubbed his nape in nervousness. He bit his lip and looked away with red cheeks. "I..um.. we're still in touch." Meera had a knowing smile on her face. "You will tell me in detail Kim Jaehwan." She gave him a thumbs up before going towards the corner table to eat her lunch.

"Follow me." Jaehwan's smile was all gone as he tilted his head and asked the other male to follow him. Meera didn't react much because she knew Jaehwan's protective side. He would be just warning Daniel not to hurt her. Nothing much. The boys walked a little away from the restaurant. Jaehwan stopped in his tracks and turned around causing Daniel to halt his steps as well. He noticed the shorter male's expression. He wasn't mad anymore. He looked tired and defeated. A long sigh escaped his lips as his shoulders slouched.

"Her parents are leaving Daniel. They're leaving."

.
.
.

"Here."

Daniel handed a small pill to Meera. It was late evening and they just had their dinner. While she was eating her medicine, he washed the dishes. He wanted to tell her about her parents but didn't know how. It was a sensitive topic at the moment. It was hard for him to distract her thoughts whenever she thought about her parents. She was begging him to go there to meet them but he asked her to give them some time. He wiped his hands and went to Meera who was sitting on the mattress and looking at the dark sky from the window. He licked his dry lips and took a deep sigh before lifting the blanket and sitting behind her. She naturally rested her head on his chest. His hands went around her body to pull her closer.

"You seem worried. Did Jaehwan scold you too much?" She chuckled in the end to ease him.

"I have two news for you. I'll start with the good news."

"Go ahead."

Daniel placed a kiss on her shoulder. "Mr Jung got us a place. The grey building next to Sushi King has a rooftop place. I saw it today. It's a nice place and we got the rooftop for ourselves. It's clean and decent." Meera smiled brightly and turned her body slightly to face him. "Really?!" He nodded with a smile on his face.

"We need to leave this place soon. I'll talk to the landlady and we will shift as soon as possible."

Meera waited for him to say the other news but he kept quiet. She didn't force him and waited.

"Meera?" He called her softly. Like a whisper. "Hmm?" He calmed his heart to tell her the news.

"Your parents are leaving."

Meera didn't say anything. She was trying to process those words. She thought that she hallucinated him saying such nonsense. So she smiled and nudged his shoulders. "Tell me. What is it?" Daniel knew it. She was not accepting the truth. And it hurt him more to break the news to her.

"Meera. Your parents are leaving for Singapore in three days."

The girl started trembling in his arms. He hugged her tightly to comfort her but it didn't work. Tears made its way out of her eyes as she gripped his shirt to stable herself. It didn't take her long to cry loudly against his chest.

All the memories she created with her parents hit her like a big truck. She remembered all those times when they sacrificed their own needs for her. She remembered her relatives saying that when she was a baby her parents were not financially stable. They couldn't afford any quality products but still they bought her branded clothes and other items. They worked hard for her to have a good life so that she doesn't have to go through any kind of pain they went through. She closed her eyes and saw her mother staying awake while she studied for exams, not forgetting to remind her that it's only exams and she shouldn't stress herself. Her father telling her to enjoy her life whenever he dropped her off to school.

Her heart ached badly. She felt like killing her self for betraying them. She didn't regret her choice but her parents meant so much to her. Hot tears rolled down her cheeks without a moment of halt. Her eyes were burning and it became difficult to breath at some points. Her body continued to shake.

"Meera please. Calm down." Daniel begged her as he rubbed her back to soothe her. He was worried for her health and the baby. Too much crying and stress were not good for her present condition. Meera finally pulled away to look at him with red teary eyes and swollen cheeks.

"D-Daniel."

He nodded.

"I want to meet them. P-Please. I beg you. Just once. I'll do anything! Please!"

She was begging while clutching his shirt in her trembling hands. Daniel first removed her hands from his shirt and held her shoulders gripping them with the right amount of pressure. His hands then went to cup her cheeks as his thumbs wiped her tears.

"We'll go tomorrow."

Daniel pulled her closer and let her head rest on his chest while he caressed the back of her head. He kissed her head multiple times. She was exhausted from all the crying and ended up sleeping in his arms. He carefully adjusted their position and pulled the blanket over to cover their bodies. He looked at her tired and swollen face. His eyes were soft as he adored her with all the love in the world. He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as tears rolled down his cheeks. His heart hurt for hurting her.

"I'm sorry Meera. I will never forgive myself for making you suffer. You're going through so much pain because of me. I'll never forget it. I'm sorry. Please forgive me if possible."
.
.
.

"Thank you so much for everything. I know that I've disappointed you and I'm not a good daughter to you but please don't hate me. I can't live knowing that you resent me for taking such a big step in my life. It's a decision that I've taken for myself. Please. Just hug me and smile like you usually do. I can be at ease."

Mrs. Suri couldn't stop herself from hugging her daughter. She pat her hair.

"You've grown up a lot. I want you to prove us wrong and say it to our faces that the decision you took was all worth it. Don't leave your studies. Complete your education. And please take care of yourself." Meera hugged her parents goodbye. Mrs. Suri had tears in her eyes. The older couple didn't want to meet her but seeing their daughter cry and the thought of not seeing her for a long time made them weak. So when Meera waited for them at the airport they agreed to meet her.

Daniel looked at the family from afar. He preferred to stay away knowing that her parents hated him. And he didn't want to interfere in their sweet moment. In a way he felt bad for breaking up a happy family. He clenched his fists for committing such a sin.

"Let's go." He didn't even see Meera walking up to him and hooking his arm with hers. She looked at him with a smile. She was at ease. Her parents don't hate her anymore and she was happy and grateful for that.

"You're really strong Meera."
