"I-I'll Do it."

"You don't sound so convincing though?" Guanlin said while pressing his lips in a thin line. He wasn't being himself the moment his crush said that she had decided to confess to her crush.

"I want to get this over with." Guanlin pat her back encouraging her to go ahead. Despite the sudden coldness in his heart, he gave her a warm smile.

Barkat ran to the park where she called Jihoon to meet her.

Barkat: I have to say something to you. Can we meet at the park near my place?

Jihoon: Sure.. I want to tell you something too.

The girl had a big smile on her face thinking of various things that Jihoon might say to her. Maybe he likes me too? He did get jealous when he saw me with Guanlin. Nonono! Don't get your hopes up! She waited near the bench and looked around.

"Oye!"

She turned around to see jogging her way. The moment he reached her, the dark clouds replaced the white ones and the drizzling began. They ran to the nearest tree and rubbed their arms for heat.

"Jihoon op-"

"I love you."

Barkat's eyes went wide eyed when Jihoon said those words. Her heart screamed with joy. The sparkle in her eyes could have outshined any diamond. She smiled so wide that her jaws were starting to hurt.

"I have decided to say this to Soyoo."

The smile stayed there but it was a painful one. She rapidly nodded her head wanting to look enthusiastic. "G-go. What are you w-waiting for?" She said with a dry throat.

"I wanted to share this with you first. And maybe I needed a little practice." He chuckled at the end to hide his embarrassment. Rubbing his nape, he turned to the girl.

"You wanted to say something too right?" He remembered that it was her who called him first.

"It can wait." She bit her trembling lips. Her eyes watered a little. Jihoon noticed it. He held her shoulders, looking at her in concern.

"What happened?" He asked with a soft voice. She shook her head unable to speak. Jihoon took off his jacket and placed it around the girl's shoulder thinking that she was cold. But his act made the girl cry. She sobbed loudly not being able to control her tears and wails.

"Barkat?" He protectively held her cheeks wiping the tears. "Barkat? Tell me please."

"I am so h-happy for you." To hide her face she hugged him. Jihoon smiled softly at that. He hugged her back and swayed their bodies gently.

"Thank you Barkat."

And I am sorry if I hurt your feelings. You deserve someone better.

"Soyoo?" The said girl sat properly on her bed when she heard her mother. "Jihoon is here."

Jihoon entered her room. "It changed a lot." He commented as his eyes scanned the whole room. He came there when he was young. It's been around ten years since he last entered her room.

"It changed. Everything changed." She said while hugging her knees and making some space for Jihoon to sit. Instead he sat next to her.

"Why? Why are you behaving like this?" Soyoo asked. She couldn't keep it in. The curiosity was killing her. For the past few days he was nice to her and did not pick up a single fight with her. Talking to him was so soothing that she ended up telling him about her date with Jinyoung.

"Because I like you." He confessed straightforwardly. Soyoo got taken aback. She  wasn't expecting it. She grew flustered and moved away a little.

"Wh-why are you joking like this?!"

She stood up and was ready to leave when Jihoon took her wrist. He gently push her to the wall and kept his hands on either sides of her face.

"I am not joking Soyoo. I do like you. And I know that you won't accept me." He stared at her eyes as if trying to read them.

"It's okay if you reject me but let me do this before I hear your answer."

He leaned forward and connected their lips in a soft sweet kiss. To his surprise, she kissed him back. She liked him too. After the scene with Jinyoung she thought about various things. From her kiss with Jihoon to the day she realised that she has feelings for him. She was just scared to get hurt because of her one sided feelings.

He pulled away breathless looking at her face.

"I think I like you too Jihoon but I don't think I'm ready to be in a relationship now. I want to focus on my career first. I'll be graduating high school in a few weeks and then college is there. I just need time to think about everything."

Jihoon nodded understandingly and pecked her forehead. "I'm ready to wait." He was also about to graduate from college and needed to think about his future too.

"Have I ever told you that you are really pretty?"

"Jihoon!"

Barkat went to her home. She was soaked in rain. She stepped in her room and quickly took a shower. The maid called her for dinner.

"I'll call my parents. You can set up the table." Barkat said and went to her parents' room to call them. But the next thing she heard made her step back in betrayal.

"Barkat's biological parents' died."

It was Jaebum. Meera stood next to him with a shocked face. "How?"

"They met with an fatal accident this morning." He explained.

My biological parents? Does that mean...I am adopted?

And no need to bash Jihoon. If he would have let Barkat confess to him then it would have been harder for him to turn her down or be comfortable around with each other. He somehow realised that she liked him so before she could confess him, he told her about his feelings for Soyoo. It would have hurt the girl more because then she would think that she embarrassed herself or made a fool out of that confession.
