He sighed at his woeful reflection resembling an expression that you wouldn't see from a regular groom — his anguished face.

His wedding day that everyone he knows... or not were excited besides the groom himself. He sighed as he pitied himself that's currently chained by his parent's wants and expectations.

He laughed inside his head thinking that he's experiencing a typical story where he has to marry a person he doesn't even love for the sake of business. Curse arranged marriage.

"You'll eventually love her Baekhyun. Just give time to know her better. Learn to love her." His mother's words replayed inside his head that sent another wave of sadness inside his heart.

He was never been inlove, he didn't know anything about love but he wanted to feel genuine affection and not being forced to fall inlove with a random stranger by heart.

"It's okay Baekhyun. You'll get over this." He tried to comfort his aching heart but he knew that only in a few minutes, he will be committed to a girl named Kim Taeyeon who he doesn't even know except her name and her family background.

Behind the four walls of the room, he could hear the lively chitchats of the guests outside. He wated to ask himself, why can't he be happy like them? Since it's his wedding, that should be a happy day for him, the highlight of his life.

As he tried to comfort himself inside the room, his eyes happen to spot a medium-sized window and a risky idea popped inside his head.

Run away.

He could do that and he could finally break the chain refraining him from his longed freedom. He could finally live the life he wanted.

He took slow steps towards the only solution to his agony. The sunlight reflected through the window, bouncing against the walls as it was the only source of light inside the room.

The sun was brightly shining, the clouds painted the blue sky with white, it was perfect for a wedding but Baekhyun dreaded every passing second of the day.

He slowly lifted his hand and placed his palm on the glass surface. He was contemplating, weighing in the pros and cons of his plan.

Will i regret this? This was the question running inside his head.

His decision can change his life, more than how it was before. He could finally attain the freedom he wanted so much. He could do everything he wanted without the control of his parents.

Byun Baekhyun will be free.

He pushed away the 'what ifs' inside his head and let 'i will' dominate, he finally decided not to be a coward anymore and fight for his freedom. He was ready to face whatever consequences are prepared for him ahead.

Without any second thoughts, he opened the window and peered down to check the area of his 'escape', to his relief it wasn't that high from the ground, he could escape without getting hurt.

"This is it Baekhyun. You're finally free." He whispered to himself, jumping from the window and safely landing on the grass.

He crouched down cautious of his surroundings. Good thing that he was at the back part of the church that's why there was no people around because they were all busy preparing at the front.

He started taking baby steps, still crouching, not letting his guard down. He needed to be careful or else his escape plan will be a failure.

He stopped when he reached a fence that seperated the church from the road on the other side. Thankfully, it wasn't that high, so it won't be a problem for him to cross over and have progress with his plan.

He climbed over the wooden fence and finally he was one step away from being free. All that he needed was a lift to bring him away from the wedding—the commitment with Taeyeon.

But to his dismay, there were no cars in sight, not even a single one. It wasn't really a good day for him, with the result of his run away, it made him rethink his decision.

Was it really a better decision than marrying Taeyeon?

Maybe running away wasn't a good idea afterall.

He should've stayed inside the perfect bubble that his parents made for him and locked him in. And now that he burst that bubble, it's nearly impossible to bring it back.

With these thoughts, he sat down the ground, not caring about his once perfectly ironed white suit become crinkled and covered in sweat and dirt.

The sun wasn't helping him either, it only made him anxious more. It was very hot and sweat dripped from his face and back, he was getting more uncomfortable as the time passes by.

He's now thinking of going back, getting up and showing up in the wedding even with his dirty appearance because he thought his presence is more important.

He wiped the sweat that was forming on his forehead, he squinted his eyes and look back to the church. And made him think of what will his parents react or say with his little scheme. His parents will be surely mad at him for doing this but is it wrong to do what he think is right?

All his life he followed everything his parents wanted for/from him and just this time, he wanted to decide for himself and walked to the road where he wish to find himself in the future. And marrying someone he doesn't love is not a image he desired for himself after a few years.

His train of thoughts were cut off as he heard the familiar sound of engine. It was a car. He jumped from his seat as he couldn't contain his excitement. Finally, something is going right in this bad day.

He eyed the red car that was running to the direction he was standing, it was just a normal car, nothing any fancy nor expensive.

He checked the person behind the glass, and he found a guy probably the same age as him who looked harmless. As he thought. But he was desperate to leave so he pushed those thoughts away.

He stepped on the middle of the road, the car just a few meters away from him. He waved his arms, hoping that the owner of the car will take notice of him. And that happened, the guy pulled in with confusion all over his face.

Why wouldn't he be confused? Baekhyun was wearing a suit covered in brown and black patterns from the dirt and his hair was all over the place, in short he was a mess.

Baekhyun scampered his way to the driver window of the car. The stranger cautiously rolled down the glass seperating him from the groom and waited for the latter to say something.

"Can you give me a ride? Please. Please. I don't have any bad intentions. I just need a lift." Baekhyun practically begged, his eyes screaming for help.

"Okay, he's definitely weird." He thought to himself.

"Uhm? Sorry. I-I'm in a hurry so i need to go." The stranger fumbled with his words and was about to start his car but Baekhyun ran to the front and spread out his arms, "Please i really need your help." He cried out, desperation evident in his voice and eyes.

And that pleading eyes made the stranger rethink of his decision, he didn't want any trouble and seeing the young man infront of him formed doubts inside his head.

"Please. I just need help."

His eyes remained on the groom and let his mind think for a few seconds, he sighed and ended up nodding his head, "Sure. Hop in." He mumbled and unlocked the door of his car.

But is this right?

Helping a groom run away from his wedding?

He will not regret this, will he?
