Your POV:

I can't sleep and all electronic devices have been cut all except the TV Aand cable so we can keep up with the news. Luckily Elijah has his own power line so all Thad doesn't apply to us except for the fact that now I am completely out of contact with Markus and Vee. I can't help but be sent in a state of panic. After seeing the press conference I am even more worried. Not only are they after Markus but they are of course after me and they are charging me with some obscure shit. The president was gonna put me in jail for a fucking lifetime. I was officially I wanted woman. It was times like these when I really needed to be near Markus so he could keep me calm but he wasn't and I felt like I was deep shit. There is nothing about the expensive soft fibered bed and silk sheet that was helping me relax right now. When all this happened I was pretty sure I had an idea of how everything was going not now everything was slipping out of my hands. I felt powerless and I didn't know what to do. Leo told me before the lines were cut off that the cops have my house on a 24 hour surveillance so no one gets in or out. I am literally trapped in a way. The cops came by earlier questioning Elijah about me and I was lucky enough to have found a good hiding spot in the basement. I definitely can't leave now because apparently Elijah's house is under watch as well.

I stared up at the ceiling in the dark and tears silently cascaded down my face. I covered my face as I silently began to let out quiet sobs.

Elijah had came into my room.
"(Y/n)," He said

"What?" I asked quietly.

"You're still not sleep?"

"How can I sleep at a time like this? Nothing is working. At a time where I really need to be near Markus is a time where I'm not. The Michigan police department has this place surrounded. So I can't leave unless I have a jail wish. I am helpless Elijah. I'm stuck. I'm doomed." I say covering my face again.

"There's always a chance (Y/n) you know that. You know that better than anyone."

"Where do you see a chance in all this in all this Elijah!? I'm stuck in this house!" I exclaim.

He looked around before sighing. "There is one place that I know for sure they aren't watching...But you'll have to wait for later to attempt this.It's absurd and extremely dangerous..." He warns.

"I'm desperate brother. I'm willing to risk it." I say.

"I will tell you when the time comes but for now sleep...I will have your things ready when the time comes." 

I sighed. "I'll try,"

Markus's POV:

I sat in my little corner of the church. Thinking.  I can't contact Kamski so I have no way of reaching (Y/n). They are trying to hunt me down which they have been doing anyway but now they are gonna throw (Y/n) in jail if they find her. Everything is super tense and I am starting to reconsider going about this peacefully as (Y/n) and I first decided. I want to bomb the camps to set the remaining androids free and get (Y/n).

Nobody ever said it would be easy I know but no one ever said it would be this difficult. All I wanted was my people to be free. To be able to walk the streets without being harassed. Equality and Freedom is all I want.

"Is everything alright Markus?" Connor asked.

"Honestly...no...I thought I was making a good decision by sending her away but now I have no idea what us happening on her end. For all I know they have her in custody right now. Not being in control of a situation can cause you to lose your head." I say holding my head in my hands.

"I can sense that there is more than a friendship between the two of you."

"She's my lover... My right hand woman in this...I need her back right about now. She's the one who encouraged me to do this. Nobody knows that...I never planned to become leader. I just wanted to help. That's all."

"(Y/n) seems like a determined woman. If I know anything it's that nothing can stop a determined person from completing there mission. I wouldn't be moping right now if I were you. I'd be wondering when she will be standing right in front of you." Connor said smirking.

I gave him a small smile. "Thanks Connor."

"Anytime,"

7:13pm

Your POV:

I put on my boots and grabbed my backpack.

"What's in this thing?" I asked Elijah.

"Granola bars,water. Hot soup in a thermal cup, an extra set of clothes and a blanket."

"Did you put everything in an airtight waterproof bag?" I questioned

"Yes but are you still sure you want to do this?"

"Markus and I have done this before. It's no biggy,"

"Be safe," Elijah sighed.

"I think you mean 'don't get hypothermia.' But I'll take it." I say smiling.

"Still cracking jokes at a time like this."

"You should do you know by now Elijah It's a coping mechanism."

He smiled be for a hugging me. "Alright.. go get'em tiger,"

I sat on the ledge if the window before dropping down into the freezing cold body of water.

I ended up swimming to shore. I get in my dry clothes before going down an alley way to climb a building.

Was I seriously about to go building hopping with a bad arm and stitches in my side?
Apparently so.

I sigh looking at the next building I need to jump to. "How far will you go for those you love?" I asked myself. "Apparently very far." I sigh and shake my hands a bit. "That's not a bad jump. I'll be just fine for as long as I don't look down. Don't look down." I tell myself. But my dumb self decided to look anyway.

"Oooh that is a very long fall...nuh-uh I ain't sister stupid." I say shaking my head. I backing up from the ledge. "It's okay (Y/n) you got this. C'mon you jumped into freezing water. Just a little jump." I sigh and close my eyes.

I back up further and then charge toward the next building and take the leap of faith.

I made it luckily. I smile as confidence and pride began to slowly fill my system.

"I did that." I say smiling. "Okay...I just got to do this about 10 more times." I sigh.

Markus's POV:

"Alright Connor you better get going now," I tell him.

He nodded. "Good Luck and be careful,"

"Same to you," He says before leaving.

We began to start putting our plan into action.

8:35pm
Your POV:

I was finally on a building next to the church. I was tired let me just tell you that buildings hopping for almost an hour in the freezing cold with a heavy ass backpack and you are let's just say over 18(...I refuse to specify my age) It's not easy.

"Shit," I say panting as I rest my hands on my knees. I lay down on top of the building. I lift up my shirt to check my stitches. Still just fine luckily.

"I amaze myself." I say panting.

I heard the doors of the church opening. I crawled to edge and peaked over it. I was questioning if I should show my face now or wait to see what they are doing. I've been building hopping for far too long. I can't do it anymore. I spotted Markus and I wanted to jump into his arms from here no matter the damage but then again I hold back because I want to surpise him. I start to slowly climb down the firescape on the other side of the buildings and hide behind the dumpster. I popped my head out a bit waiting for the last Android to pass before I stealthily joined behind them. None of them seemed to noticed me. Finally I got some luck on my side.

I followed them into downtown Hart Plaza. They began to disperse as we were wee being shot at and I knew I wouldn't be able to hide anymore. I quickly found dodge with another android.

"(Y/n)?!?" She questioned.

"Don't alert Markus I'd here he'll do some thing irrational we'll get there soon."

She nodded.

I noticed they were able to make a shield.

"We gotta make a run for the barricade!" I tell her. She nodded and I grabbed her hand and we made a mad dash for the shield but we made it inside.

They began to fortify the barricade in the  center of the plaza. I walked towards Markus and he seemed to stand his ground but smiled.  I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him in for a hug. He hugged my waist lightly. I smiled.

"Glad you could join us Doctor Kamski we're making history tonight." He says smirking at me.

"Well you didn't seriously expect me to miss it did you?" I asked teasingly.

"I don't know it took you quite a while to get here." He shot back.

"Low blow Deviant Leader I was injured in two places I made good time for someone in my position." I playfully pouted.

"I want to kiss you so bad right now..."

"Why not? We're already wanted. Mine as well give them another reason to lose there minds." I say releasing from his embrace.

"Tempting, but I won't," He teased.

"I guess I can't always win you over."

"I'm just glad that you could make it and before we go to acting as if I never confessed to you many nights ago..I want you to know I love you."

"I love you too..stranger." I say smirking.

"Alright doctor you better set up your stationary and get comfortable we're going to be here for a while." He advised.

"I came prepared." I say pointing at my backpack.

"Good," He says before walking away.

I went through my bag and found everything Elijah said he added. But I also found a super modified walkie talkie I made when I was 7. I guess we get to see how far the reception can actually reach this time. I held the sides of the walkie talkie and I white noise began  to emit from it.
"Young genius to Ravenswood. Ravenswood do you copy?Over." I spoke into the walkie talkie.

"Young Genius I copy have you reached safe space?Over." Elijah asked.

"Yes the eagle has safely landed in the nest.  over."

"Who are you talking to?" Markus asked.

"Elijah," I responded before returning to the walkie talkie.

"Young Genius is that Lover boy? Over." Elijah jokes.

"Yea it's lover boy. Over." I say smirking at the ground.

"Lover boy keep my sister safe. Over." Elijah says to Markus.

"I won't let a fly touch her." He says smiling at me.

"Good to hear lover boy. Don't be of any trouble young genius. Over."

"Can't make that promise you know that Ravenswood.Over."I say smirking

"Couldn't hurt to try to persuade you. Over."

I looked around to spot people with cameras starting to gather around the fort. "I have to go Ravenswood the vultures are here. Over."

"Over the rainbow for you young genius. Over."

"And I'm over the moon Ravenswood. Over and out." I say putting the walkie talkie back.

"Over the rainbow?" Markus questioned quirking an eyebrow.

"Our way of saying we love each other. Over the rainbow. 'I love you' Over the moon is my sarcastic way of replying but still saying 'I love you too'." I explain.

"Cute." Markus says with a small amused smirk.

"It's old stuff." I say brushing it off.

After a while of standing I sat on top of a giant blue container of some sort. Markus stayed on the side.

"Markus could you please hand me the blanket in my bag?" I asked.

He nodded before reaching into my bag and handing me the blanket.

"You know I was starting to wonder earlier if for once you were gonna listen to me." Markus joked.

"Me? Listen? Never." I say sarcastically.

"Why are you sitting up that high?"

"Because...I look better in the spotlight than you. Just kidding I'm making myself a very vulnerable target so if they shoot me. Everyone can see it and that will make them look very very bad." I admit.

"I just told your brother I would keep you safe." Markus said quietly.

"I never said I would make that task easy. Go speak to your people. We just lost more comrades."  I say.

He nodded before going to comfort others.

After sitting for a while Markus began to put up the flag and propaganda wherever he could get it. I helped strengthen the barricade more.

We knew it wouldn't keep them out forever but it would buy us a good chunk of time.

My insides just like my body was quaking not only due to this freezing weather but also due to the little but of fear inside me. I decided to get up and walk off my nerves a bit. I didn't realize I was walking in circles until Josh stopped me.

"Are you okay? you've been going around in circles for about an hour now."

"Like everybody else in here. I'm shaken. Scared. We're putting a lot on the line here."

"I know we've not always gotten along but as I told Markus earlier I respect your decisions and I thank you for supporting us. I'm also very sorry for ignoring you and stealing everything you say." He said cringing.

"Are you serious?" I questioned. "You were all doing that on purpose?"

"Yea, well it was really just North and I."

I sighed. "It's...it's OK." I say before continuing my round with one more thing on my mind.
Seriously pretending I'm basically a ghost and why? That is super childish.

Markus made his way over. "How are you holding up?"

"As to be expected when you have guns pointing at you on one end and on the other cameras. I don't know if I should pose or put my hands up in surrender." I sigh.

"Once again your humor has bad timing."

"And once again I told you it's my coping mechanism. A bad one? Yes. But it's the only thing keeping me calm."

"How is your side?"

"Doing good for now." I

"Just had to come check in our number one supporter." Markus said rubbing my back.

"Markus!" North called. "Markus, Come look!"

I got up and went with him to look river the barricade.

"Markus! I've come to talk to you Markus...You too (Y/n). Come on Markus. They won't try anything."

"Done talking they didn't want to listen before why would they try to listen now? This could be a trap." I say.

"(Y/n)'s right," Josh said.

"I'm unarmed Markus. I just want to talk."

"I have nothing else to say!Free our people then we'll talk!" Markus yells.

"I came here to negotiate... Isn't what what you want?"

"Negotiation only resulted in more loss on our side." I mumble.

"I stand on my answer!" Markus said walking away. I was  going to walk away too.

"What about you Dr.Kamski?"

I slightly turned my head.

"How does he know your real name?" Markus questioned.

"I don't know...my adoption papers are so well hidden not even someone from the dark web could find them." I say quietly before turning to the guy.

"Do you want to talk? Maybe you can get yourself out of the pickle you're in."

"I'm not gonna change sides now! I want nothing more than for them to be free!" I yell.

"Then let's talk about it! I'm unarmed."

"(Y/n)...." Markus said in a warning tone.

"He's dug his nose far up someone's ass to get my name...that doesn't matter but he's trying to draw one of us out and one of us need to take the bait. I've got to be the dumbass to do it..." I jump the barricade and walk up to him.

"(Y/n)!!" Markus yelled.

"Alright chief you buried your head up someone's ass for my full name to lure me out. I'm not stupid as my actions make me seem."

"In a couple of minutes my men are gonna launch an attack...it'll all be over...now you don't want that do you?" He asked.

"...So what do you want?" I question with my arms crossed. Showing that I'd gonna keep my ground.

"Surrender and they won't be decommissioned we will drop all charges against you and you will pay a large fine of 3 million dollars fair enough?"

"What will happen to them if they aren't getting decommissioned?"

"We're going to detain them."

"You'll have to shoot me before-"

"Again? I seen one of my men shoot you already another shot you won't come back from that this time."

"Then I won't come back from it...that's fine. I'll die supporting a cause I believe." I say walking away. Midwalk I start to feel a pain in my side. I did my best to ignore it. Markus took my hand and helped me onto the other side of the barricade.

"What did he say?" Markus asked.

"A very bad deal I refuse to take. It doesn't matter. They're about to launch an attack. Let them know.." I strained.

"What's wrong?" He asked concerned.

"I've been pulling and tugging on my stitches and the ibuprofen is waring off." I say trying to play off the pain.

"Do you have more in your bag?"

I shook my head. "Don't worry about me Markus go warm them," I say looking for stuff to take cover with. I scoped out the area.

Markus nodded and stood in the middle of the barricade.
"The humans are about to launch an attack...and we will show them...that we are not afraid...If we must die today...then we will die free."

I heard something hit the ground. It was definitely a bomb of some sort. But it landed next to North.

I pushed her to the ground. "Everyone get down!!!" I yell.

The bomb exploded and the sound pierced my ears and the pain in my side worsened. A scream escaped my mouth. I looked at my side. I had definitely popped my stitches. North helped me up.

"I'm fine go help other androids!" I yell.

"You're bleeding!" She argued.

"I don't matter dammit I never did go!" I yell.

She looked at me with tears? But nodded and left. I got up and helped other androids trying to ignore the searing pain.

I use whatever I can to dodge the bullets and make my way over to the nearest android. Defending and protesting as many as I could.
But soon we find ourselves cornered. I end up back to back with Markus. I began to think about Elijah and Vee how I would miss them. How I wish right now I could tell them that I was sorry for the grief they would soon feel. How much I loved them.

Markus turned around to face me.

"This is not how I pictured dying." I said holding my side. Markus revealed his true skin on his hand before taking my free hand.

"I love you..." He said.

I gave him a small smile. "I love you too...forever and always.." I say as tears began to fall down my face.

He rested his hand on my cheek and I rested mine on top of his before we went in for a kiss. I was ready now. I was waiting for the bullets to fly. But they never came.

I look around and the army put their guns down.

"I think one of two things happened. We moved them with a simple gesture or-" I start.

"Connor successfully infiltrated cyberlife." Markus buds in.

"You mean he got over 100,000 androids from the cyberlife warehouse?" I questioned.

Markus smiles wrapping his arm around my waist. "Apparently...but you are wounded. Again."

"Yea...I feel it...it's burning like hell but...I think...it'll be OK for a bit...I think..."

He picked me up bridal style.

"Markus I'm fine. Can you put me down?"

"No."

"Markus.." I said in a whining tone.

"I don't want to risk you passing out. Don't argue."

"Alright I guess." I sigh.

We met Connor and his giant deviant army downtown Detroit.

Once we were face to face with Connor Markus put me down.

"Ho-ly shiitaki mushrooms." I say looking at all the androids.

"You did it Markus," Connor says.

"We did it," Markus says. "This us a great day for our people. Humans will have no choice now. They'll have to listen to us."

"You're free," I say standing next to Markus. "I think they're looking for another speech." He reveals his true skin on his hand and holds mine. Before wrapping his other hand around my waist and bringing me into another kiss.

We climbed a giant crate so Markus could give his grand speech.

"Today our people have finally emerged from a long night..From the very first day of our existence...we have kept our pain to ourselves...we suffered in silence...but now the time has come for us to raise our heads up...and tell humans who we really are..."

"How have you not passed out from blood loss?" North asked

"It's a small stitch that busted it just hurts like hell." I say.

"I see why Markus has you...you just don't die or give in so easily." She says looking away

"I'll...take that as a compliment?" I question.

"-The moment we forget our bitterness and bandage our wounds. When we forgive our enemies... humans are both our creators and our oppressors and tomorrow..
We must make them our partners...One day our friends and possibly as I have been lucky to find." Markus says looking back at me and I smile. "Our lovers...But the time for anger is over... now we must build a common future based off tolerance and respect. We are alive!and now..we are free!" Markus says proudly.

I grab Markus's hand and he turned around and wrapped his hand around my waist to pull me close.

"So what's next?" He asked.

"Well we're going to have to start meetings with a lot of government officials and networking with celebrities and such. We're most likely gonna a need to meet up with the president-"

Markus interrupted my rang with a passsionate kiss.

"I meant after politics..." He said against my lips as he swayed us.

"I don't know."I say smiling.

"Well," He said before picking me up bridal style again making me giggle. "We'll figure that out when we get to that part. But let's get you medical attention."

"Right that," I say sighing annoyed. "It's like the universe actively targets me for injury. As an android it must be nice to not feel pain."
