Your POV:

It wasn't long before we were on the way back to our new place of refuge. The drive was tense as you could tell there were words that wanted to be said by both parties but were thought to be better left unsaid for the time being.

We arrived at the church and before I could go back into the church Markus gently pinned against the car. "Please understand why I'm doing this. I love you...I can't bare the thought of loosing you. Can't you see that?" He asked holding my hands against his chest.

"Yes," I start. "But do you understand a world where Androids and Humans can coexist peacefully means nothing to me without you in it? I'd rather die. than be without you. I'd rather die fighting for your freedom than live without you. See now we both can't lose each other...." I say walking into the church. Markus walks in behind me and goes to talk to Kamski.

Markus's POV:

"You know Markus to be smart you sure are stupid," Elijah tells me.

"Why do you say that?" I question.

"Once (Y/n) dedicates her heart to a cause injured or not she's going to support it with her entire being. If you think making her stay with me will keep her safe than you are wrong...You are putting her in more danger."

"But I'm taking her out of harm's way how am I making it worse?" I questioned still very confused.

"Nothing kills man faster than his own head Markus. Sitting down while thinking she should be doing something useful will drive her insane. Trust me I've known her almost my whole life. She's too stubborn for her own good. Trying to stop her makes her worse. But follow your systematic brain and do what you believe is best for her she will push to prove you wrong rather she's scared or not."  He says calmly.

I gave him his keys back. "Keep her safe," I say.

"I will do my best to hold a stubborn girl down but when I get bit and scratched in the process I am expecting you to prepare to pay for the damage." He says standing. He got (Y/n) who refuses to even glance my way. I sigh.

It's for the best. You'll see.

"Markus your people need to hear from you." North tells me.

Elijah's POV:

As I was driving (Y/n) did not once turn from the window. I know she was lost in her thoughts. She always was lost in her labyrinth of a mind.

"Can you at least put on a fake smile and at like you're glad to stay with me for a couple of days?" I questioned playfully.

Suddenly I heard a sniffle.

"When you get there you can be the normal girl you never were...I still have some of your clothes. I even got a nice black silk robe with your name on it...literally. Your name is embroidered in the back with pure gold thread. You can take a bath with whatever floral bath soap you want. Rose, Lavender, Tulips, daisies you name it I have it. Maybe after that you can get a pint of Ben and Jerry's or Blue Bunny." I continue to rant hoping to get some sort of reaction out of her. Nothing. "And watch Some chick Flix." I suggest.

Silence.

"Or Reruns of Game Theory and Film theory on YouTube."

"Add wise crack and ASAPscience you may have a deal." She muttered.

"We can watch all the YouTubers you want."

"Fine," She stated simply.

"I know you are already planning to leave me soon... Hear me out. At least take....a day or two to revel in our wealth. Relax and don't think for once. Markus has a point...you're wounded...at least..take a moment to heal."

"Elijah you do know taking any side other than the woman's is dangerous right? I find it enraging."

"But deep down you know I'm right."

"Deep down isn't enough."

"It never has been for you-you listen to your gut when its time for action but when your gut says rest you suddenly believe in following your heart."

"Excuse me sir, I'm wounded if you hadn't noticed aren't you supposed to be helping me relax?"

"Seeeee.."

"I was saying-" She sighed "nevermind just get me to the house already."

"Yes, ma'am." It wasn't long before we arrived at the house.  I had one of the androids show her to her room. While I went to go rest in my own.

Your POV:

I laid on my bed unable to sleep. Kamski assigned one of the androids the task of assisting me and my ever need. But I didn't need or want help. I wanted to be alone.

"Is there anything I can help you with Ms.Kamski?" She asked me.

"No thank you, you are dismissed." I say and she walks away.

I went through the closet and found the silk robe Elijah was telling me about. I got that and some short pajamas. Before going into the connected bathroom. Once I entered the light cut on and a voice spoke.

"Hello Ms.Kamski how may I assist you today?"

"I would like to take a hot bath." I say.

"What kind of scent would you like infused into you soaking?"

"(Favorite floral scent)."

"Would you like music and wine?"

"You know me too well," I say taking off my clothes.

Soon (whatever songs help you relax) began to play. I get inside of the bathtub and one of the androids come with a glass of wine.

"Thank you," I sigh.

"Your welcome," The android says before leaving.

A very relaxing setting yet I feel like I can't settle in not just yet. I sigh.

"Ivy please show me what's happening on the news." I say to the home robot.

"I'm sorry Mr.Kamski restricted access to the news and suggested you watch youtube."

"I wish you could tell Kamski to go suck a-" I stopped myself. "Connect me to Mr.Kamski." I say.

"Hello little sister glad to see you are taking my advice,"

"If you and Markus are gonna hold me here against my will at least let me stay informed. Or else I'm gonna march out of this house half naked and go back to the church."

"You wouldn't-...OK you would but hear me out-"

"I've heard you enough I wish to stay connected somehow if I don't know what's happening you know I will go out there and find out myself."

Elijah sighed. "I told Markus he's only gonna make it worse." He muttered. "Ivy grant Ms.Kamski access to the news." He said ending the calls.

"Access granted," Ivy said.

I smiled taking a sip of my wine. "Mom was right...I would gave made a good lawyer." I say smirking to myself proudly. After I got out of the bath I dried of and put on my clothes:

I went into the living room and treated myself to my favorite flavor of Ben and Jerry's ice-cream before sitting down in the living room.

"Ivy turn on the fireplace please," I say.

The fireplace lit itself. I smiled as I ate some of the ice-cream. I grab the remote and turn on youtube to watch Game Theory.

I acted as if I was relaxing but inside I was screaming. I know something big is about to happen. I know Markus is about to do something big and I wanted to be apart of it . But he won't let me be apart of it because he believes he's protecting me. I know I'm wounded and I should be relaxing . But how can I relax when I sense that we are right at the peak of a break through?

I sighed and ended up switching to the news again to check. They are still sending androids to slaughter camps. But no word on any demonstrations or bombings. Public Opinion is high right now and I think a peaceful protest would be best right now but I can't tell Markus that right now and it is killing me.

"(Y/n) there is someone who you might wanna hear from." Kamski says handing me his phone.

"Hello?" I say.

"Hey mom, It's me Vee,"

"Vee, Oh my gosh how are you? How's Canada?" I ask.

"It's wonderful! I have a job at a diner. I live in a nice apartment complex. I have an awesome car. I'm treated equally here and it feels amazing!" She ranted.

"I'm glad you're having a wonderful time,"

"However I see you and Markus on TV for demonstrations and I see a lot of horrible stuff going on in America. Uncle Kamski told me want happened...you were shot?! And you pulled a muscle."

"My arm isn't that bad..I never do anything to drastic and I'm high off of pain killer's in can't feel the pain in my side. I'm completely fine."

"And you still want to go out there and march?"

"Vee...I sent you to Canada for a reason. I knew things were gonna get bad in the US. I knew what I was doing."

"Mom I don't want you to die.." She said crying.

"Vee listen to me I'm doing this for you and Markus. I want you to be able to come here and walk freely like you do in Canada. No one is saying I will die it's only a chance that I will. I can't promise that I will stay alive but I can promise you I will try to stay alive for you. Okay?"

"....okay."

"Now I want you to go live your life some more meet new people maybe get a boyfriend I know there are some androids in Canada that might be interested or humans interested in androids you never know Vee go have fun!" I say smiling

"...what if I come to the US?!"

"YOU STAY IN CANADA YOU HEAR ME?! I refuse to have risk your life. Stay. In. Canada."

"....I will." She says quietly..

I sighed holding the bridge of my nose. "I love you Vee. Don't make irrational decsions because of me." I say.

"I won't mom,I love you too."

"Bye," I say before hanging up.

"Not even Vee could persuade you.." Elijah said.

"Elijah you should know better. Trying to use family against me." I say handing him his phone. He went back in his room and I soon found myself unable to sit still. I end up pacing back and forth looking outside the window and pondering. I just couldn't keep still.

Elijah's POV:

I was in a call with Markus.

"How is she?" He asked.

"As I warned you...She was OK at first now she's frantic...she's gonna end up leaving here and joining you. I'm forewarning you. She's not gonna stay down for long. She's too much of a fighter."

"I knew that," he said in an amused tone.

"What's so amusing about this,"

"She's stubborn...just try to keep her down for now. It's not time yet."

I smirked. "I thought you wanted me to keep her down."

"You were right. I can't not for long."

"So when do I know to let her go?"

"You don't she will," He said before hanging up.

I sigh. "When I said I was willing to help in anyway I can. I had no idea this was what helping would entail." I grumble.
