Chapter 16

- Rebeccas P.O. V -

I haven't spoken to Ashton at all this morning , and he hasn't spoken a word to me. The silent treatments working both ways this morning. I'm sitting in the kitchen right now eating my cereal and Ashton's sitting opposite me eating cold pizza i think.

''Will you two just speak its like a ghost town in here'' Mum frowns , shoving a load of washing into the washing basket.

''You alright?'' Ashton finally speaks , I just roll my eyes and carry on eating. Ashton lets out a huff and stands up storming out of the room.

''What is up with you two''

''Mum , its nothing''

''Tell me Becky''

''Ashton won't let me go out with Calum , and he's being so stupid giving me no valid reasons to why .'' I spit out faster then I thought.

''Oh , Wait has Calum asked you out?''

''No bu-''

''Then there's no need to be fighting is there?''

''But... i dont know'' i sigh.

''Look honey , if you like him. You like him. If he asks you out you do what you think is best''

''Alright thanks'' i say and get up walking over to Ashtons room.

''Ash..'' i call.He doesn't reply so i just open the door and walk in , he's on his phone so i just take a seat on the end of his bed.

''Ash , if you really are that bothered i wont go out with him'' i sigh

''Really?!'' Ashton pipes up peering over his phone.

''Yeah , i guess'' I shrug my shoulders hoping he will do the right thing and feel bad.

''Alright cool!'' Ashton smiles. I force out a smile and get up. Well that didn't go as planned I thought.

''Wait..'

''What Ashton?''

''Thanks'' he smiles again. I smile again a big fat fake smile and walk out of the room.

What the hell did i say that for? I was meant too go in there and tell him he couldn't' tell me what to do i'm seventeen i shouldn't be taking orders from my brother. I thought about barging through his door again and telling him straight but what's the point ? You know Calum might not even like me anymore and no matter what i say Ashton is going to fight back.

I walk into my bedroom and grab a magazine from the side ,I was so engaged into the world of the social media and the rumor's and the pictures that these writers and publishers come up with. My phone buzzes indicating i had a text , i place down my magazine and roll on to my stomach grabbing my phone from the side. It was Calum.

''HEY :D , Wanna hang out? x''
It said.

''Sure , your place or mine?'' I replied back.

Seconds later a reply popped up

''Mine... don't bring Ash! Alone time :) x''

''Okay be there in a few :) x''

I jumped up and walked towards my wardrobe , i pulled my white plain t-shirt up over my head and replaced it with a grey top with a American flag print on. I kept on my shorts and slipped on my converse. I ran a hand through my hair and grabbed my bag from the living room. Then slipped out the )
House before anyone could notice .

''WHERE ARE YOU GOING!!'' My mother called , i stopped dead in my tracks and turned towards her. I could of told my mum the truth of course , but Ashton was leaning down looking into the fridge and i didn't want him knowing where i was going.

''Out..'' i reply simply

''Oh really? I mean where?'' she raises her eyebrows.

''Out with friends... from work'' i smile

''They're here? I thought they all worked in Melbourne''

''I made friends here too!'' i call and ran out the door closing it before she could say another word.

I decided on walking to Calum's , it wasn't that far away and the weather was beautiful may I add.

I knocked on the door and Mali opened it giving me a warm smile.

''Oh Hey Becky , Cal's in the living room. No Ashton?'' she asked.

''Not today'' i smiled. She nodded and let me in without any further questioning .

''I heard you got a apartment now'' I said to her deciding to make small talk.

''Yeah , its amazing just came here to pick up mum we're doing some shopping , i'm actually having a party later just a few of my friends and the boys you should come along'' she smiled and grabbed her car keys from the kitchen slab.

'' That sounds great i'm sure i'll come if the others are'' I smiled nodding my head.

''Afternoon Mrs Hood'' i said as she walked into the hallway from the kitchen.

''Hello Becky , when did you get back?'' she asked with a smile which I returned.

''A Few days ago , don't let me keep you have a nice day'' I replied and walked into the living room where Calum was sitting.

''HEY!'' I yelled and plopped myself next to him.

''Hello to you too'' he laughed.

''Your mum and Mali have just gone out shopping by the way''

''Cool!'' he grinned wiggling his eyebrows. I swatted him on the arm laughing and turned my attention to the tv. We spent the rest of the afternoon eating snacks and watching some old , stupid , cliche movies.

''Oh Calum i have too talk to you'' i sighed.

''Alright'' he smiled. I fiddled with my fingers a little not meeting his gaze as i spoke softly.

''I- Ashton wants me too stay away from you again'' i sigh

''I know...''Wait he knows? Oh god please don't say Ashtons been telling him to stay away from me! Wait if he told him to stay away from me why did he invite me here.

''What?'' i asked

''Ashton's told me to stay away too''

''Then how come you invited me he-''

''...And i don't care. I like you and hopefully you like me and thats all that matters'' he said.I looked up into his eyes and he had a stupid little smile on his face , his eyes twinkling and i'm sure i saw a blush creep up on his face as he said that.

''I like you too...a lot'' i breathe out , my cheeks growing warm.I bit my lip too hide the smile wanting to burst out.

''NOOOO DON'T DO THAT!!'' Calum whines placing his hands over his eyes.

''Do what?'' i giggled.

''Bite your lip , everytime you do that i just want to kiss you!!'' he blurts out.

''Do it'' i whispered seductively into his ear. Calum removed his hands from his face and his eyes widened his jaw dropped down.

He leaned over and pressed his lips on mine. His lips pressed against mine , not with force but with want and need. He cupped one of my cheeks with his large hand and pulled me on top of him. I smirked into the kiss leaving small kisses along his jawline.

''Becky'' he breathed out. I giggled and pushed myself back sitting back down on my side of the sofa.

''Why did you stop!'' He asked

''Cause' we shouldn't be doing this Calum'' I sighed realization hitting me.

''That didn't stop us before'' he smirked wiggling his eyebrows. I blushed and looked down throwing a pillow at him.

''Aw ... You're blushing'' he cooed.

''Calum shut up!'' i laughed.

''Come here!'' he smiled , grabbing my arm to lay down next to him. I faced him so we were chest to chest , i rested my head on his chest and listened to his calming heartbeat. Calum began running his hands through my hair making me smile.

''So are you coming to Mali's party later?'' i asked

''Will you be there?'' he smirked

''Stop it!''

''What?''

''Making me blush!'' i laughed into his chest , Calum began laughing also.

''...and yes i will if you're going'' i smile up at him he nods , pressing a kiss to my forehead.

''I'd better go , Mum will be wondering where i am and i need to get ready for the party'' i said getting up off the sofa to be pulled back down.

''Nooo... don't leave me!'' Calum cried. I laughed at his poor attempt to make me stay and how immature he was.

''Cal... let me go!''

''Noooo!''

''Calum."

''Fine , kiss me first!'' he said seriously.I rolled my eyes playfully and turned to face him again pressing my lips to his in short quick peck.

''That wasn't a kiss!'' he pouted

''Yes it was now get off of me!'' i said rolling us both so we fell of the sofa me hovering over the top of him.

''I like this position'' he smirked

''CALUM!!'' I whined blushing heavily , and swatting his chest.

Calum just laughed at my response , he flipped me over so i was looking up at him. His hair was all ruffled as usual and his brown eyes were shining as he looked down at me. He leaned in closer and my breathing hitched; slightly. His lips were inches away from mine and i let out a small smile , oh but he didn't kiss me like i expected he started to tickle me. I giggled hysterically unable to stop as his hands tickled my sides of my stomach.

''Cal-Calum stop it!'' i laughed , trying to focus on breathing.

I was laughing so hard i was almost on the erge of wetting myself. Through my tears of laughter i could see Calum with a huge grin on his face and chuckling at my expression.He finally stopped, and i wiped my eyes from the tears of laughter rolling down my face.

''Kiss me!'' I smiled.

''Your wish is my command'' he chuckled. He pressed his lips to mine and I smiled pulling away.

''Want a ride home?'' he asked.

''Calum you don't have a car your mum took it'' i laughed

''I know but i thought i should ask...'' I giggled at his answer and Calum rolled off of me helping me up with him.

''So are we really doing this... sneaking around again?'' i asked

''Well we don't have to sneak around?''

''But Asht-''

''Ashton will deal with it''

''I ... ''

''We can tell him later on if you want'' he smiled

''Yeah...'' i smiled pecking him on the cheek.

''See you later!''

''Yeah i'll see you later princess'' he winked.

''I'M HOME!!'' I called , placing my bag down on the floor.

''Mum has taken Harry to football and Lauren's out shopping'' Ashton says simply.

''Cool''

''How was your friends?'

''My what?''

''Your friends you went out with them today didn't you?''

''Oh them , yeah we just went shopping and got lunch. Hey? are you going to Mali's tonight?''

''Yeah.. how did you know?'' He asked.

''Oh she tol- ... she texted me the details'' i smiled nervously turning my attention to the various certificates stuck to the fridge.

''Okay, it's in two hours the boys will be here in a hour to do some band practise then we will leave and that so i'm gonna have a shower'' he said.

''Alright , i'm going to change and call Ana to come round.''I walked up the stairs and sat on the edge of my bed taking my phone out of my pocket i sent a text to Ana.

''Hey , want to come over and get ready for party with me... need help with... everything''

She replied back

''Yeah sounds good i'll be there soon .... fashion police here i comee!!''

Ana had arrived just as i got out of the shower she began blow drying my hair then curling it , she did my makeup very natural apart from the bold red lipstick she smothered onto my lips which she said would add a pop of colour to my look.

''Right lets see what you got'' Ana said flicking through my clothes in my wardrobe.

''This one is perfect!'' she said , holding out a short black dress.

I grabbed it and put it on , it was alright. It rested just bellow my thigh so it wasn't too high .It fit my body perfectly showing all my curves off. She handed me some black wedge heels which i slipped into.

When I looked into the mirror , for once i looked mature and old for my age. I touched up on my makeup as Ana got changed she was wearing a black strapless dress which had black sequins on the front. Her lips were bright pink which matched her neon pink spiked heels. Her hair was straight and loose and she looked beautiful , stunning , gorgeous she was really pretty! We both grabbed our bags and joined the boys down the stairs.

''Oops hold on i forgot my phone'' i called and tried my best to run back up the stairs in these devil heels. I grabbed my phone and walked into the living room.

''TADA!!'' Ana squealed. The four boy's mouth dropped all aring at me.

''WOAH!!'' Michael spoke breaking the silence.

''You look hot'' Luke said , Ana slapped his arm and Luke looked away.

''Not as pretty as you'' he cooed , Ana laughed resting her head on his shoulder.

''You look ... beautiful'' Calum grinned making me blush.

''What are you wearing?''Ashton said in disgust.

''A Dress...''

''Says who?'' he asks I sighed heavily rolling my etes.

''I'll go change'' i whispered. I felt a grip on my arm twist me around.

''No don't...'' it was Calum.

''You look beautiful already you don't need to change'' he smiled.

''Yeah!! You tell him Calum'' Ana says.Ashton huffs and grabs the keys he mumbles something under his breathe that I didn't quite catch so I ignore him.

''Fine lets go'' he says. The boys and Ana laugh following Ashton out to the car.We all got seated , Ashton driving Michael calling shotgun , then Luke , Ana me and Calum had too squeeze in the back.

It was 6pm so it was quite dark outside so it was dark in the car which was good because everyone couldn't see what Calum was about to do.

During the drive to Mali's which was the other side of town , i felt a hand on my knee , it was Calum. I looked down at his hand his palm was faced up , my eyes widened i looked at Calum but he wasn't looking at me , he was staring out the window smiling , so i did the first thing that popped into my mind. I put my hand in his hand and we held hands the rest of the way.

When we got to the party our hands separated ...We still had to keep a secret from Ashton until things get serious which isn't happening anytime soon. We all got into the elevator and rode up to Mali's floor once we pushed opened the door which was already unlocked and there had to be at least 100 people dancing around this small apartment.Most of them being Mali's high school , college and work friends. Calums arm snaked around my waist but i shook him off before Ashton could see.

''I'll get us some drinks'' Calum whispered , i nodded and went and sat down on one of the sofa's. I slipped my phone out of my pocket and had a text messages from Ana.

''I saw you in the car ...sneaky sneaky !! ;)'' I looked around the room searching for Ana , she was standing a little distance away with Luke talking she looked over at me and started laughing and i giggled face palming and placing my phone back in my bag.

As i was waiting for Calum to bring the drinks over i scanned the room , nobody in particular i knew. Until one face caught my eye what ...what was he doing here? How was he here? The all too familiar faced looked around and focused his eyes on me his eyes widened and i quickly looked down. Please please please don't recognize me , I looked back up and CRAP he was walking straight towards me.

''Becky. Rebecca Irwin is that you?'' he said.

CRAP HE KNOWS!!
