My heart is racing.

It slows down, but I can still feel that pang of pain coming from it, making me numb.

I don't cry at things like this.

My heart just gets a tremendous ache.

I shouldn't be doing this on a school night.

I thought watching would be fun, would give me something joyful in my dreams and give me a smile when I woke up.

But it's not like that.

I never expected so many feelings to come crashing down on me at once.

I never expected to be shaking under my bed covers, wide awake in agony.

I don't think I've ever felt so heavy hearted, so burdened with sadness.
