I run after Tweek, Kenny and Karen as they go to the broken gate. Kenny grabs her shotgun from a gun rack on a wall and Tweek pulls his fire axe from behind his back. Karen already has her bow and an arrow in her hands.

Before we can even leave the building, we hear gunshots and zombie moaning.

"They're already in the building, s-shit!" Tweek curses.

"How can you tell? We can't see any." I frown.

"Because we only shoot if they're in the building to save b-bullets and prevent making noise, duh." Tweek rolls his eyes.

Right as he finishes his sentence, a scraggly four legged creature skids around a corner. It stops, momentarily, before screeching loudly and running towards us.

"Fuck, it's a Feral!" Kenny grabs Karen's hand and takes off running in the other direction. Tweek follows without hesitation, "Craig, follow us. It isn't safe!"

Without questioning her, I run after them too. I can hear the Feral getting closer to us with every slap of its feet against the tiled floor. My heart pounds in my chest as I try and keep up with the rest of the group and not get torn apart by whatever mutated creature that thing is.

I'm pulled by the arm and I almost fall over due to the force. I realise it was Kenny pulling me into the closest room where they're hiding. I kick the door shut and Karen turns the lock.

"Stay away from the door. It'll see you." She tells me.

I step away from the door and try to control my breathing so I don't alert the monster outside.

We hear the slap of its feet as it runs across the tiled floor and luckily it passes our room. We all breathe a sigh of relief when we realise we are safe - for now.

"What was that thing?" I finally ask.

"A feral. They're a strange mutation where it's just like a rabid animal. It always runs on four legs and it's really hard to attack," Kenny explains, "if you see one the best thing to do is hide and attack from higher ground where it can't get to you."

Suddenly, we hear gunshots nearby. Loud, rapid gunfire that sounds like it could be from multiple people, followed by the sound of bodies hitting the floor.

"We need to get back out there," Tweek adjusts his grip on his axe and opens the door. He checks the coast is clear and signals for us to follow him, "we need to get to the first floor. Stan, Kyle and Wendyl will be fine here on their own."

"What about the feral? It could still be out here." Karen asks in a wobbly voice.

"You'll be fine, princess," Kenny strokes Karen's hair, "if we see it then that means you're facing your fears. And facing your fears means..?"

"I'm one step closer to becoming the ultimate badass." Karen finishes with a nod.

"That's my girl," Kenny grins, ruffling her hair, "c'mon, let's go."

The older two lead us to a staircase that's covered in blood. And it looks fresh.

"That doesn't look good." I frown.

"We don't have time to be making fucking observations, dick-nose!" Tweek yells.

He runs up the stairs without checking we're going after him. Kenny gives me a sympathetic look before taking Karen's hand and following Tweek. I sigh and go after them.

The second floor is crawling with zombies. It seems like they decided to come and meet us. There's a screamer which is doing its job irritatingly well, two bloaters and around ten plague zombies all mixed in with standard ones.

"Fuck." Karen bites her lip.

"Language, missy." Kenny scolds.

"You guys know the drill. Craig, stay out of our w-way." Tweek gives me a slight push for emphasis.

I take a couple of steps back so I'm a few stairs below them and watch them in what I hope is a safe distance away from the action.

Karen draws back one of her arrows and aims carefully for one of the bloaters. When any obstacles have moved out of her way, she fires and strikes right between the eyes.

It explodes instantly, spreading green poisonous gas along the hallway. The other zombies wander over in that direction, curious.

Karen grabs another another arrow and aims at the second bloater. It's a good distance away from us, so it's going to be difficult to hit. It's also far so hopefully the zombies will wander in that direction and leave us alone.

Karen fires and pierces the bloater's skin. Luckily it explodes and the sound catches the interest of most of the zombies. They shuffle away from us, giving us more space to attack.

Kenny checks her shotgun is loaded and shoots the screamer before it can scream and bring the zombies back to us. When the body hits the floor, tweek goes in with his fire axe whilst Karen takes out the plague zombies nearby.

"Craig, why don't you help out?" Kenny suggests, "Tweek will never know."

I hesitate, not wanting to annoy the leader anymore than I already have, but I also want to help out to show I can be a useful member of this group.

I drop my backpack on the floor and grab my bat from it. Kenny's eyes widen when she sees it and she looks super impressed.

I run into the horde and swing my bat. It lands with a thunk in a plague zombie's head. I yank my weapon out and kick the body to the floor and smash the skull in. Blood splatters all over the floor and my clothes, but now is not the time to worry about that.

An arrow flies past my head as I stand up and swing at a zombie's legs. It falls over and I smash the skull.

I keep going, my arms aching from all of the swinging, but I know I have to keep going. I can hear Tweek's axe slicing through soft bones and clanging on the floor when he goes through a zombie.

He stands up, wipes his sweaty forehead and spots me. He glares at me, but has no time to argue with me since a zombie grabs his wrist and bites down hard.

He yells in pain and kicks the creature away from him. It hits the floor and he swings his axe through its head.
As I slice through my twelfth zombie, another one attacks Tweek. He pulls his axe out of the first one and swings, but misses and hits the wall.

"I'm st-stuck!" He yells in panic, "Kenny start shooting. I don't care about getting shot anymore."

Kenny nods and grabs her gun. She shoots as quickly as she can, doing her best not to shoot anything too close to me or Tweek. I'm guessing using Kenny is some sort of last resort since it is a little dangerous having bullets flying around in a fast-paced fight like this.

Another arrow flies past my head and pierces the jaw of an incoming zombie. I grab the arrow and pull it as hard as I can, breaking off the jaw. I then stab through the head with the arrow and drop it to the floor.

I run over to Tweek who is trying to stop two zombies from eating him with his bare hands since his axe is stuck in the wall. I grab one of the attackers by the back of the neck and throw it to the ground roughly.

"See you in hell, bitch."

I slam my bat into the zombie's face as hard as I can.
I jump to my feet and grab a zombie that's trying to bite Tweek's finger off. It's a plague zombie, which is not good. I throw it to the floor and kill it the same way as the previous one.

I kick the body out of the way and grab Tweek by the wrist. He hisses in pain since I grabbed a bite but I ignore him and throw him to the floor. I kick him on the back so he slides away from his attackers thanks to the wet floor.

"I'm out of bullets, guys." Kenny frowns.

"Get out there!" Tweek yells.

She jumps, but runs to join me.
She hits the back of a zombie's legs with her gun and slams it through the skull.

By this point there's only a couple of zombies left so Karen takes them out with her arrows.

"Good job everyone." Kenny smiles, slapping me on the back in a friendly way.

"What the fuck are you guys doing?"

We turn and see Wendyl stood at the stairs, arms crossed angrily. He storms past us and snatches the gun from Kenny's hands.

"What the fuck are you using these for?" He demands, "we only use it if there's an emergency!"

"Umm... it was an emergency..?" Karen raises an eyebrow, "look at all the bodies on the floor."

Wendyl looks around and spots all of the dead bodies. I don't know how he didn't notice them before, but maybe he was too mad.
He gasps and drops the gun in shock. Kenny luckily catches it before it hits the floor and breaks.

"Jesus christ, how did I not realise?" He face-palms, "I need to go and help Stan and Kyle."

"You weren't helping them?" Tweek pinches the bridge of his nose, "You guys are the first line of defence and there's a feral down there! Take that asshole with you and go help."

He points to me.

"You're welcome for saving your ass." I snap as I follow Wendyl downstairs.

Wendyl takes me to a new area. There's a large fence with a gate, where I'm assuming Jimmy was brought through. There's a huge hole in the fence where the zombies must be coming through.

"Fuck," Wendyl gasps at the size of the breach, "that's huge! Shit, man, this is not good. It's going to take forever to fix this."

I run a hand over the hole and frown.

"This is man-made." I state.

"Huh?"

"It's man-made. No zombies made this. If they had it wouldn't be a perfect hole like this," I explain, "This has been cut by a person."

Wendyl inspects it with that in mind and nods slowly.

"You're right," he sighs, "this is not good. Have you heard of Mitch Connor?"
