Kanji's pov

knock knock!

knock knock!

I growled and covered my ears.

knock knock knock!

The knocking got louder, every second I ignored it.

knock kno-!

"For Jashin's sake, I'll be right there!!" I yelled, annoyance clear in my voice.

I grumbled random words, cursing somewhat. Forcing myself out of bed, I went to get ready. I did my routine real quick, and went to check on Sanji. He was on bed snoring lightly, with his leg dangling on the side of the bed. Wait, why wasn't he there when they announced the teams, or did i just forget about him? Shaking my head I walked up to him. I shook him lightly, he grumbled and opened his eyes.

"what..?" He grumbled.

"Someone's at the door, probably looking for me. And either way why weren't you at the team announcing thing?" I said

"ok, and I was there, I got put into team 8..." He mumbled, half asleep.

"Oh..ok, anyways bye Sanji I love you" I said, planting a kiss on his forehead.

"yea..yea..just go I'm tired" he said, swatting his hand around.

Chuckling I walked to the door, and opened it. Naruto was there with bags of under his eyes. Well someone didn't get enough sleep..

"let's go.." I said walking off

Naruto nodded taking the Lead. We walked a little, till we saw Sasuke and Sakura in a small clearing. Sakura looked tired, but was trying to stay awake. Sasuke looked perfectly fine, must be used to being up early. Me on the other hand, heh, I probably look tired as hell. I walked over to Sasuke and sat next to him, he looked at me and stared. What's his problem?

"hm, something wrong?" I asked

"hn..your hiding something from all of us, and I want to know" Sasuke demanded

Frowning I looked him in the eyes, "Sasuke I really want to tell you, but it's not your time to know, maybe later. I don't want anything to change between us when I tell you, that's why I'm so afraid to tell you all....you wouldn't understand.."

"if were friends, you should trust me!" He snarled

My eyes widened, he was right, if were friends shouldn't I have already told him? My fear of them hating me is taking me over, I can't even trust my own friend.. I-I..can't believe I've been so s-stupid! I stiffened, have I really been selfish by keeping this to myself?

"I-I'm sorry..I didn't think of that.. But your right, I should tell you, not now though...maybe after this test?" I offered, my voice cracking.

Sasuke's eyes widened, he looked speechless, but he nodded taking my offer. Looking at him I smiled sadly, then yawned. Naruto ran over, and sat beside me.

"hey kanji, can you tell me when Kaka-sensei is here?" He asked

I nodded.

Few minutes later, Naruto is sleeping on my shoulder. I couldn't help but smile, if I could I would let him rest on my lap. But that would be weird since they still think I'm a boy, plus He need to know he isn't alone, I'm here for him, I would DIE for him. Naruto has suffered to much, and that is going to end now. He will become Hokage, while I might have already sacrificed myself for him.

Few hours later

"Good morning!" Kakashi said with a small wave

Naruto suddenly jumped up and yelled, "you're late!" Along with Sakura.

I freaked out, and jumped at the sudden noise. I thought he was sleeping?!

"well, a black cat, crossed my path you see" Kakashi pointed out

Naruto and Sakura grumbled in protest, doubting his excuse.

"ahem! Oh well... Ok, it's set for 12:00!" Kakashi said pressing down the alarm, "today's assignment is to take these bells away from me by noon. Those who can't do it won't get lunch. They'll be tied to that..*points at log*.and I'll eat my lunch before your very eyes."

Everyones stomach grumbled at the mention of food, mine stayed silent. I chuckled nervously, I didn't eat anything and my stomach hasn't growled I hope Kakashi doesn't notice.

"But, hold on. Why are there only three bells?" Sakura asked confused

Kakashi did a closed eye smile, "there are only three. So at the very least, one of you will have to go to the logs. That person will be disqualified for failing the mission...and will return to the academy. It might be one person at the very least, or it could be all three of you. You can use any weapons. You won't be able to take the bells unless you come with the intent to kill me." Kakashi explained

"but that's dangerous, Kakashi-sensei!" Sakura yelled sticking her arms out in protest

"Y-Yeah, that's right! You couldn't even dodge an eraser!" Naruto exclaimed, with his hands behind his back.

"In this world, those who aren't skilled tend to complain more. Well, just ignore the loser..." Kakashi said lazily

"shut up, who are you to tell Naruto that?! He way stronger than you think!" I shouted in protest

Naruto eyes widened slightly, "thanks kanji.." He whispered

I nodded, and scowled at Kakashi. He didn't no what Naro went through, all the pain and suffering he went just to got here. I didnt want want to be like this to Kakashi, I just get so aggravated when he makes fun of Naruto! I really like Kakashi, he's like the dad I don't have... The one I wished I had..

"begin when I give the 'ready-go' signal." Kakashi said

Naruto growled reaching down in his kunai holster, he grabbed a kunai and pounced on Kakashi. Kakashi appeared out of nowhere, grabbed Naruto's hand and flipped it, so it was pointing at the back of Naruto's neck.

"Not so fast.. I didn't say go yet" Kakashi said

Woah, he was fast! I might start to like him...might.

"But at least you came with the intent to kill me, so I see you've began to respect me. Heh-heh-heh maybe... I'm starting to like you four. Begin!" Kakashi shouted.

At his shout to begin, all of us jumped away and hid in the bushes/trees. Well, except Naruto he just stood there. I sweat dropped, he really is special sometimes.. I scanned my surroundings quickly, Sasuke was nearby and Sakura was close to Sasuke. Figures, a fan girl like here would stay next to him.

"The basic rule of a shinobi is to become invisible...be hidden well..." Kakashi stated

"alright! Let's fight fair and square!" Naruto yelled with his arms crossed.

"what..?" Kakashi asked

"Really Naruto, you couldn't hide like us!" I mumbled

"well, you seem different than the other.." Kakashi pointed out

"What seems different is your hairstyle! Gaaa!" Naruto exclaimed, running towards Kakashi.

Naruto was right. How does Kakashi's hair defy gravity like that? Does he use some type of gel? I shook my head and paid attention to the fight. Naruto ran straight for Kakashi, but stopped and watched him.

"I'll teach you the first shinobi skill... taijustu." Kakashi explained

kakashi reached into his kunai holster and pulled out...a book. He started reading it, but looked at Naruto.

"hm..is something wrong? I thought you were coming at me?" Kakashi asked

"yea..but....I mean, I...I mean why are you..that's a book!" Naruto yelled

"of course it a book, I've been dying to find out how the story ends. But carry on...it shouldn't make any difference, considering who I'm up against..." Kakashi said monotone

I gawked at the book when realization hit me..wasn't that some type of porno?! Sheesh that's disgusting! I have a sensei who's a pervert! Shaking my head I made my attention at Naruto, he was standing there, just staring at Kakashi. Then he looked violent and started pulling up his sleeve.

"I going to pound you!" Naruto yelled in anger.

lets just say his whole fight didn't end so well....

sighing I slowly made my way to Naruto, who was hanging upside down by a rope. It was an obvious trap, but Naruto just had to go into it!

"Naruto!" I whispered

"KAN-"

"Shhh! Im going to get ya down!" I whispered

Naruto nodded his head rapidly, reaching into my kunai pouch. I pulled out a shuriken, aiming at the rope I threw it, cutting him loose.

"gaa!" He screeched

he fell face first, stood up and ran.. He didn't even say thanks.. I sighed. I walked back into the bushes looking for my other teammates. I looked down and found Sasuke.

I jumped towards Sasuke, "Sasuke, wanna team up?" I asked

"hn, I need to fight alone to get stronger.." Sasuke denied and jumped away

I sighed and jumped to a small clearing, Sakura wouldn't even accept my help so why should I try? I sat down and and waited for Kakashi to come.

"I'm sooooooo bored, I wanna fight!!" I exclaimed.

"Really?" Kakashi asked

I jumped up getting into a fighting position, "let's start" oh this I going to be fun.

Running at Kakashi, I jumped in the air and pushed my leg down on his shoulder. Kakashi grabbed my leg, but I aimed a punch at his face. He caught my hand squeezing tightly, I twisted my body around and kicked his face with the side of my leg. He let go of my leg and arm, Kakashi flew to the left and stumbled.

"you actually hit me.." Kakashi mumbled in shock

"hm, well I have an intent to kill you" I said seriously

Kakashi's eyes widened, then they narrowed at me. I snickered, was he trying to do scare me? Hah, I've seen worse. I made hand signs..

"Lava style: Flaming hellhound!" I shouted

I took a deep breath and blew, a huge hellhound formed made out of lava and hard rock. It went towards Kakashi at a great speed, Kakashi dodged. I smirked, that's not all it does. But my hellhound split into three and crashed Into different spaces. When they crashed smoke flew everywhere, I put my hands by my face shielding my eyes. Damn I hate that defect of the justu! The smoke started to clear, so I took my chance and ran into the left over smoke. Damn, where are you Kakashi- hah found you! I turned to my left and blocked his kunai with my own, I was pushed back. I know he's strong, but I didn't think he was this strong! Grunting I pushed my kunai harder and managed to push him back a little. I tried pouring chakra into my kunai, but failed miserably. Crap! My kunai broke in half, I pulled my hands back guarding my face and chest. Kakashi's kunai sliced across both my arms.

"damn!" I muttered, while flinching in pain.

I jumped back, my arms were limp at my side. The cut we pretty long, it went across both my arms and was 1/2 inch deep. I growled There getting numb, I need to do something fast. I lifted my arms to do another jutsu.

"lava style: lava tsunami!" I shouted, taking a huge breath and blowing.

A wave of lava formed into a tsunami, roaring towards Kakashi. I smirked there's no way he can escape this! I smiled, and started laughing evilly.

"Ey Kakashi, how ya going to dodge?!" I yelled

"er...h-how....how did you dodge..?!" I yelled in anger and pain

I held my bleeding side as the kunai Kakashi had thrown managed to cut me.

"I replaced myself with a clone, and managed to get out safely.." Kakashi said

I pretended to be weak trying to seem like I wasted all my chakra. Kakashi fell for it, I snickered as I watched my clone take the bells secretly.

"Well, that ended quickly. I thought you would be more of a challenge but I guess not, you just as weak as the others..." Kakashi looked straight into my eyes

I held in laughter, he really thinks I'm this weak? Hah, just wait till he sees what I'm about to have in my hand.

"hehehe! Well guess what Kaka-sensei?!" I exclaimed

"...what" he said slowly

"I got three shiny little bells in my hand! That's what! Goodbye~!" I shouted, jumping into the trees.

My clone ran up to me and he handed me the bells, I smirked and thanked myself and released the Jutsu. I ran all the way to the logs, and saw Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto tied to a stump. I grinned and ran in front of them. I spun around, I cupped my hands around my mouth.

"Oi! Kakashi come on out, were done!" I yelled

(if you noticed Kanji's sadist side is coming out)

Kakashi transported finally, and stared at me. I just smiled evilly in return.

"I came to my decision, I'm not sending any of you back to the academy.." Kakashi said smiling

"that..that mean we pas-" Naruto started

"no, I'm dropping you all from the program, permanently..." Kakashi said

It went deadly silent.. Everyone was shocked at the sudden news. I better not be dropped! This bastard wasn't going to stop me!

"you can't drop us from the program! We worked hard to get here!" Naruto yelled angrily

"it's not my problem you guys think like kids and not shinobi! You're just brats!" Kakashi spat

Sasuke growled angrily and went towards Kakashi, but I pushed him out the way my kind self getting in the way. I ended up getting a kunai held at my neck, while I was standing. I grunted, I need to stop helping these idiots. I'm going to get myself killed one day. I looked around and my eyes landed at Sasuke. I smirked. Sasuke's eyes widened.

"Sakura kill Kanji or Sasuke if you don't Naruto will die!" Kakshi barked

all their eyes widened, Sakura started shaking. She kept looking left to right, probably looking for a way out of this.

I smile faintly, "Kill me, do it, do it!" I said loudly

Their eyes went on me, they looked at me as I was crazy. Which I probably was right now.

"why are you saying kanji?!" Naruto exclaimed confused

"I'm saying..KILL ME" I said emotionless and more or so bluntly

"NO!" They all yelled even Sasuke

"You have to, I can't let Sasuke or Naruto die! I promised I would protect you guys no matter what it costs!" I yelled

"No kanji, shut up! If you die how will you you protect us!?" Naruto stated while struggling to get out the ropes.

I gasped, he was right. How could I protect them if I'm not alive..

"Your right, I-I'm sorry...I didn't think about that" I said with my voice cracking and finally going back to normal

"But hey, look what I have" I said showing them the bells, in my fingers

They all gasped in surprise, I chuckled lightly.

"Well...here ya go" I said

I threw one at Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. They caught it and just stared at it.. Even though Kakashi had a kunai to my neck, that wasn't going to stop me from giving them the bells.

"h-how did you get the bells?!" Sakura asked shocked

"Simple, I fought Kakashi and took them.." I said simply

He was pretty easy to beat, he didn't even notice the shadow clone I made to grab the bells. Hah, some Jounin he is! I threw a kunai at Naruto's rope, letting him fall with a thud. I flinched, oops.

"Oi, Kakashi. You should let me go now.. They passed and I failed, right? I'm the only one with out a bell" I said

I waited for a response but didn't get one. The kunai was moved away from my neck, I turned and looked at Kakashi.

"Oi, Kaka-sensei...Arigatō!" I said with a closed eye smile (Oi- hey. Arigato- thank you)

Kakashi just stared at me, and ruffled my hair.

"HEY! Stop touching my hair!" I shrieked in annoyance, using my normal voice.

I giggled and fixed my hair.

"Kanji..um why do you sound like a girl..?" Naruto asked

I coughed, "oh, what are you taking about?" I asked returning my voice to normal

"don't lie, I heard it to.." Sasuke stated

"yea!" Sakura agreed

"uh, um... You prob-" I started

"kanji, you should tell them. It might be the right time, don't you agree." Kakashi said

he's right, I should tell them. It might really be the right time..

"Well, ya see... I'm not a boy, I'm actually a girl hehe. I just dress and act like a boy, due to some problems. But you can consider me whatever you want, boy or girl. Doesn't matter to me." I explained sheepishly

their reactions were what worried me, they all looked shocked or surprised.

"I'm sorry i didn't tell you guys earlier, I just was scared you would hate me or ignore me, ya know.." I said

I grew stiff as I waited for their reactions,

"are you kidding, dattebayo!? I'm not mad, I'm happy!" Naruto exclaimed throwing himself on me

My eyes widened, he didn't mind? my lip started quivering slightly but I held back my tears.

Smiling I said, "Really?! I'm so happy, I thought this would go differently!"

"You all pass by the way" Kakashi said

I grinned and jumped up, "Ey Sasuke, will I still be able to come over...ya know since I'm a girl and all."

"hn...I don't mind.." Sasuke said

Wait I forgot I got cut in the fight with Kakashi, I looked at my amps and wrapped bandages around them just to stop the bleeding for now.

"ok! Since we passed why don't we all go out for..RAMEN!" I yelled

"RAMEN!" Naruto yelled

Naruto ran up to me and started pulling me to the ramen place, well more like dragging.

"Sasuke-kun, Sakura-chan, Otōsan- I mean" I said, but accidentally blurted out the last part. (Otōsan- dad)

"Otōsan...huh? I like it.." Kakashi, I mean Otōsan said

I laughed the whole way, all of us had an amazing time. I even got Sasuke to laugh lightly! I had so much fun, Otōsan was right. It was the right time to tell, and now I lost half my burden that was on me. Oh and I got Sakura to start liking me again, kinda weird right!? Anyway I can't wait to see what awaits me... :)
