Kanji's view

I woke up groaning, I stretched my body so I won't be stiff. I opened my eyes and looked around, I'm still in Sasuke's house? I stood up and walked to the door, I push the door to the side and walk around in the hallway. It was kinda scary, I mean Sasuke's house. Its so dark and creepy. I hear something on my right but when I look there's nothing there. I shake my head and keep walking, but the noise its back. I quickly turn to the left and once again..nothing? What the hell?!

"Sasuke..?" I asked.

Nothing, just silence...deadly silence. I get worried and panic more, but the bad thing is I forgot to sound like a boy and used my normal voice.

"Sasuke?.....Sasuke! SASUKE!" I yelled in panic.

"Ye-! Wait, who's there!?" Sasuke yelled back.

I froze.. I just used my normal voice, damn! I have to come up with an excuse and quick! Um.....

Got it!

"it's Kanji! Sorry I was just practicing to be one of your fan-girls..hehehe.." I yelled, but using my high voice. (boy voice) "how'd I do?"

There was silence, until he finally answered back, "hn..."

He sounded like he wasn't sure...

I sighed in relief, that was to close! He could've caught me. And I STILL don't know where to go.

"Found yo-" Sasuke started.

"HOLY GAY LORDS I WARN YOU IM ARMED!" I yelled, I turned and put my hands in front of me like I was going to fight. My eyes were closed the whole time, I didn't want to open them because I'm scared...

"Hn...?"

Right when I heard that 'hn' I kicked who knows where. There was a loud grunt of pain, and a sound of something hitting the floor. I opened my eyes and looked down and saw..... Sasuke. He was in pain and crouching down. Oh no!

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" I kept repeating.

Sasuke glared at me and just grunted, and walked off without me.

"w-wait for me!" I stammered out

FOWARD TO WHEN THEY ARRIVE ACADEMY !

We are now at the academy, probably a little late... We walked to Iruka-sensei's room and opened the door, well more like I kicked it open. My foot was still in the same position when I kicked down the door, everyone's eyes were on me. I put my leg down slowly and pointed at Sasuke.

"he did it!" I exclaimed.

Everyone sweat dropped and Iruka-sensei looked aggravated and dumbstruck.

"Hn liar" Sasuke said while glancing at me from the corner of his eyes.

Sasuke walked off but I paid nooo attention at all and walked to my seat next to Sasuke, before I could even get to my seat, I was yanked back. I looked over my shoulder and saw Sanji glaring hatefully at Sasuke, he then glanced at me and softened. Sanji dragged me to the row all the way in the back and sat next to me. I looked at him confused, he just shook his head frowning. In front of me Sasuke quickly looked back and mouthed, 'why are you over there.' I simply shrugged my shoulders. I finally noticed that a blonde boy was dripping sweat and shaking, he must nervous. I frowned.

"For your final exam, you must each create a clone/doppelganger! Wait here until your name is called, and then come next door." Iruka-sensei explained.

Quickly I took a glance at the blonde boy and saw he was, shaking way more then before. I feel bad, this must be a bad technique for him. I sighed, and waited patiently for my name to be called.

Few minutes later

"Kanji!"

Thats my que, I walked next door and stood I front of Iruka and another man. I bowed my head, and stood still.

"ok Kanji, all you need to do is make 3 solid clones" Iruka said

I nodded and did the hand signs, there were several 'poofs' and right next to me stood 6 clones. I smiled proudly and faced them, they looked shocked, but the other man looked at me with hunger.... Ew he must be power hungry...

"T-That was great, come and get your headband" Iruka said

I walked forward and looked at the headbands, blue...

"do you have black by any chance?" I asked kindly

"yes we do, here you go" Iruka said while reaching down into a box and pulling one out of it, he handed me my headband and smiled. I smiled back and threw my arms around him. (Only to thank him)

"Thank you Iruka-sensei, even if I knew you for a little, your an amazing teacher!" I said joyfully

I quickly glared at the other teacher and walked out the room, not even peeking for his reaction. I walked back to the classroom and saw Sanji with his headband!? How did he get his already!? I shook my head not questioning how, my attention was at the boy who was very nervous. His eyes caught mine and we just stared, his eyes held so much loneliness and pain. This lasted 5 seconds, then he turned away. He must be so lonely... I frowned and got the courage to go up to him. I walked over to him and put my hand on his head, catching his attention.

"Hey, don't worry ok? I know you'll do fine try your best, and smile, you look sad." I said with a closed eye smile.

I opened my eyes and he looked so shocked, I ruffled his head playfully getting bringing him back. "You think I'll do good!?" He asked dumbstruck.

I truly did believe he was going to do good, "Yea I think you'll do great!" I said in my normal voice, with a giggle.

His eyes widened in shock, then he was left confused.

"well I wanted to wish you good luck, anyways what's your name?" I asked

"Naruto Uzumaki, I'm going to be the best Hokage ever, believe it!" He exclaimed grinning

I smiled at his dream, "Kanji, nice to meet ya Naruto. I hope you fulfill your dream, ya know" I said

Naruto grinned happily but then his smile faded, "..can we be friends?" He whispered looking down.

He hung his head as if I was going to beat or yell at him. I softened up a this.

"Yea why not" I said Naruto looked up at me immediately and grinned cheekily, Naruto threw himself at me.

We both stumbled down the stairs but I got the pain, my poor butt. I groaned as we finally stopped and rubbed my bottom, Naruto rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.

"Hehe, sorry about that. I'm just really happy, your my first friend" he said

My eyes widened, I'm his first friend.

I glomped him, "it's ok! I'm happy to, I'm your friend now!"

He he smiled and hugged me back, but that had to end....

"Naruto Uzamaki"

We let go, "good luck Naruto" I whispered

"thanks kanji!" He yelled running off

I waved at his back smiling. Walking back to my seat I see Sasuke stare at me, I waved, he smiled faintly. Hm, he acts different here but when he's around me, he's like a 8 year old. Sheesh hormones.

"Kanji we should get going now" Sanji said

"ok" I answered

I followed my brother but stopped and said goodbye to Sasuke, who answered with a 'hn'. As soon as were out the academy, we see parents congratulating their children, hugging them. I frowned and looked around they look so happy, my eyes traveled to the swing and I saw Naruto! Making my way towards him, I heard to ladies talking about him, making me freeze in place.

"Hey isn't he the kid who-?" Lady 1

"Yeah, that's him. The only one who failed!" Lady 2

"serves him right..." Lady 1

"can you imagine if they let someone like that become a shinobi...?!" Lady 2

"I mean, think about what he is..." Lady 2

"don't even go there." Lady 1

I went behind them and growled, they turned around shocked.

"what are you-" lady 1

"shut up....SHUT UP! You don't know how hard he's worked, he's tried his best at the test! Not everyone passes, but a least he tried. You should be ashamed, what if your child didn't pass and people made fun of him. What would you do huh?! So shut the hell up, don't make fun of my friends or you'll pay!" I yelled pissed off

I turned away from them and went to talk to Naruto, but he was gone... I put my hand over my heart and squeezed tightly, I felt guilty, I wasn't there when Naruto needed me. I walked home ashamed...

At home

Im outside the apartment, looking at the night sky. It looked so pretty, the stars moving freely with nothing to worry about. I growled and shook my head back and forth. I'm going to take a walk..

"Sanji, I'm going for a walk!" I yelled

"Ok, just be careful!" Sanji yelled back

The village was beautiful at night, so peaceful and calming. I smiled, it's really nice here, I thought it would be the same as our village, but I got it wrong. I passed the Hokage building and saw lots of ninjas there, I couldn't resist ease dropping. I hid behind a tree and hid my chakra.

"This time he's gone to far! Lord Hokage!" Chunin 1 yelled

"the scroll he has taken is so dangerous that the very first Hokage sealed it away!" Chunin 2 yelled

"If misused in the wrong hands, it could be deadly!" Chunin 3 yelled

Who would take this?

"Naruto..." The Hokage mumbled barely audible

My eyes widened, Naruto took it? He wouldn't do that, he must've been convinced to! Where would he be... I looked around and spotted Iruka-sensei, he ran towards the woods. He could know where Naruto is! I ran after Iruka-sensei, but I stayed hidden. After a few minutes of running, like around 8, Iruka-sensei stopped and jumped down. I stayed hidden in the trees and watched, Naruto was here! He was panting and he looked exhausted, but still all worry disappeared.

"Gotcha!" Iruka yelled

"about time Iruka-sensei! I found you!" Naruto yelled

"no, you fool! I found you!" Iruka yelled

"heh... I guess you have got me. Too bad you were so fast. I've only memorized one technique." Naruto said, rubbing the back if his head sheepishly.

"You look exhausted. What have you been doing?" Iruka-sensei asked

"Wait till I show you. I never dreamed...some of the shinobi arts are so amazing!!! If I show I've mastered these techniques, you'll have to let me graduate!" Naruto exclaimed

I was shocked, he worked so hard just to graduate! I felt proud, but at the same time disappointed.

"Naruto..." Iruka said

"yeah?" Naruto asked

"whats with that scroll you're carrying?" Iruka asked

"what...this!? Mizuki-sensei told me about it. And about this place! He said if I could show you I'd learned the techniques In this scroll...you'd let me become a shinobi!" Naruto yelled

I took an intake of breath, I knew something was off with that man! Suddenly Iruka pushed Naruto out of the way, making Naruto get fly back. A bunch of kunai went flying towards Iruka, some piercing him. I almost screamed for him to move but I held it in. I can't show my position yet.

"I'm impressed that you figured out where to go" Mizuki said, smirking cockily.

"Now I understand!" Iruka mumbled

"The scroll, Naruto. Give it to me" Mizuki said

"don't let him have it, Naruto! Protect that scroll with your life! It's more dangerous than you can imagine- it holds the record of a completely forbidden ninja art! Mizuki used you because he wants it for himself!!" Iruka yelled at Naruto.

Naruto looked so confused, he didn't know who to believe. Oh, Naruto! Don't fall for Mizuki's stupid lies!

"Naruto, even if you've read it, it will still he meaningless! I can tell you want it means!" Mizuki said, trying to bribe Naruto to hand over the scroll.

"sh- shut up, you fool!" Iruka yelled nervously

"you...know what really happened in the incident where the fox demon was sealed up again twelve years ago, don't you...? Since that incident...the people of our village have been bound by the strictest decree." Mizuki explained

"I don't remember any decree..." Naruto said confused.

"You wouldn't. Part of that decree was that everyone would know about it...except you!" Mizuki yelled

"...except me...? ...why not me? What law are you talking about? What... What was the decree? What?" Naruto kept asking.

It grew deadly silent, and Naruto wasn't prepared for the next words.

"that no one must ever tell you... That what you really are... Is the demon fox!" Mizuki yelled

I gasped, Naruto had a demon in him? No wonder why everyone looks down upon him, that still is no reason to hate someone.

"what? Wha...what are you talking about!!" Naruto asked dumbstruck

"STOP!!" Iruka yelled frantically

"It was you who murdered Iruka's family!! In other words, you...are the nine-tailed fox spirit that destroyed the village!! Until, at last, our beloved hero, the fourth lord Hokage, trapped and bound you...in this form. Since then, you've been made a fool by everyone in this town! Didn't you think it was strange? To be so despised, everywhere you went? If he were honest, even noble Iruka would admit he hates you, too!! You never knew a parents love...since the day of your birth you've been shunned by our entire village! No one will ever accept you!" Mizuki shouted, evilly.

Naruto stood in place, shocked of all this new information he was getting thrown at him by this filthy man.

"The best you could ever hope for was attention not love... And you could only get that by going things that would get you into trouble! And you didn't care. You were willing to accept any criticism, any condemnation, so long as it meant that someone was paying attention to you. That scroll you've stollen...it was the instrument of your bonadage!! It was a brilliant performance Naruto...but it was a shame, to hide your loneliness and PAIN!" Mizuki yelled with sadist smile.

Mizuki threw a windmill shuriken a Naruto but Iruka jumped in back of Naruto, with the windmill shuriken close. No Iruka-sensei, Naruto!!! This could be my chance they won't have to get hurt anymore! I jumped out of my hiding place and jumped in front of the shuriken, taking the hit on my back. I coughed out blood, and struggled to stand, the pain it was unbearable.. It hurt so much..

"N-Naruto...I-Iruka...run..leave m-me.." I stammered out painfully, wincing at he pain.

Iruka-sensei and Naruto turned around wide eyed, Naruto was crying.

"W-Why did you get into the way" Iruka asked dumbfounded.

"...I need to..p-protect you two..no matter w-what it takes.. I can't l-let my new friend d-die on me now..nor my s-sensei.." I said

"Kanji..." They said in unison

"GO!" I yelled, my eyes pleading them to go.

Naruto ran off but turned around and looked at me, I forced a smile and nodded, he ran off. Iruka stayed still staring at me, making me frown, I told him to leave. I groaned in pain and reached over to my back, pulling the windmill shuriken out. I screamed in pain, but there I stood standing. I took hold of the shuriken and threw it back with less force than Mizuki, but still at the speed it went it could leave a nice gash. Mizuki jumped out out of the way and grabbed his second Windmill shuriken. He ran and threw it at Iruka-sensei who was now heading towards Mizuki.

"Get away sensei!" I yelled.

I pushed Iruka-sensei out of the way and took the hit once more, but now it was sticking out of my chest. I screamed in pain and fell to my knees, holding my chest. I slowly turned to Iruka and mouthed, 'run, please run and find Naruto'. Iruka hesitated but ran after Naruto. I stood up, and swayed a bit, but I stood my ground. I wiped my mouth, and spat on the ground.

"If you want either of them, you'll have to go through me" I said feeling stronger than before. Pulling the Windmill shuriken out my chest, I gasped and threw it. That weapon is tainted with my blood because of this man. I'll make him pay.

And that's where the fight started
