The Tropical Theme and A Host-Hopper?!

Tomoyo's View - Next Day

- Notes For Math -

Panda-san is very cute~

So is Haru-chan and Usa-chan!

Math is boring, Tomo-chan doesn't like math!

Why can't Tomo-chan be good at math like nii-san..

Wahhh! I'm bored!!!! Awwwwwwwww-

The bell rang, signaling class was over. Grinning, I slammed my notebook shut, and ran as fast as I could to the club, passing Haru-chan on my way.

"Haru-chan! Let's walk to the club together!" I shouted, waving my hand in her direction.

She waved back with a smile. "Okay!" She shouted and ran over to me.

"We should run. If we're late Kyoya-senpai might raise your quota." I stated.

Haru-chan sighed, "You're right, let's go." She said before sprinting off.

"W-Wait!" I shrieked.

I ran after Haru-chan. After a good few minutes of us sprinting, we managed to reach the Host Clubs room in no time. Haru-chan grabbed the handle and pushed the door open. Rays of light shone upon us. You could birds chirping. The Host Club looked like a tropical island, a real tropical island...

"Where...is this?" Haru-chan asked.

"I think it's the Host Club, but a tropical island version..." I replied.

"Welcome!" The club chorused.

"Oh, it's you. Haruhi, Tomo-chan. You're both late." The twins said solemnly, flicking me on the forehead.

I pouted as I rubbed my forehead.

Hikaru lifted me up bridal style, "Tomo-chan, you need to be in costume like us." He scolded.

Kaoru grinned, "And we got the perfect 'costume' for you." He said.

Delight radiated off me. "Really?! Were going to play dress up!!" I shouted, hearts in my eyes at the idea of being able to dress up.

I loved playing dress up so much! Whenever me and my 'friends' would have a sleepover, we would dress up as princesses and others things. It was really fun, ever since I moved I haven't had the chance to play dress up again

Hikaru and Kaoru smiled and pet my head. "Yes, Tomo-chan, were going to play dress up." They said and handed me a white bag. "Go change, we'll be waiting outside for you."

I nodded rapidly and ran into the changing room, I quickly took my clothes off and put on what was in the bag. It was a dark blue kimono with light purple and blue flowers scattered around. There was also a red sash like thing that went around my stomach. A small little flower was on the white string in the sash. It was beautiful! The best part was that it wasn't revealing unlike the other dress the twins had made me wear.

Skipping out the changing room, I hugged Hikaru and Kaoru. I didn't even wait for their compliments. "Thank you guys so much! It's beautiful, I owe you two." I smiled.

They smirked. "No--" Hikaru started, "--problem." Kaoru finished.

Going on my tiptoes, I kissed both boys on the cheeks with a giggle. Their cheeks tinted a light pink. Aw! I got the twins to blush! Yippee! One point for Tomo-chan!

Points for Tomo - 1

Hikaru and Kaoru - NONE

Guests started to flood the room. Squealing in surprise, I ran to my table and waited for my guests. Miku didn't arrive like usual. Instead I had boys come and sit down at my table. I didn't know boys were able to request me. Shaking my head, I put on a smile. Just go along with it, Tomo.

"Hi, you three are new!" I stated loudly, secretly examining them.

"Yup."

They nodded, "I'm Hideki." A boy with stunning orange hair and blue eyes greeted himself.

"My names, Dai." A boy with midnight black hair said, pointing at his face.

I gave a small giggle and looked over to the last boy. "I'm Ko." He grinned, waving at me.

So, Hideki had orange hair and blue eyes. His hair had that messy look, as if he just got out of bed. Dai had black hair so onyx eyes. His hair was kinda of like Mori's, the front part was going straight up, not a single hair on his face. Ko had straight red hair and nice red eyes. They were all handsome. I admit it, but I wouldn't date my guests.

"Hi, Hideki, Dai, Ko. It's nice to meet you!" I chirped. "My names Tomoyo, but you can call me Tomo-chan."

We talked a bit about food and pandas surprisingly. It was awkward at first, but all that tension is gone now. You can say were friends now!

"Hey, Momo. Are you going to the dance?" Ko asked, hope laced in his voice.

Dance, I haven't heard anything about a dance?

I tiled my head to the side, showing my confusion. "Momo doesn't know anything about a dance. Can you tell Momo about the dance?" I asked cutely.

Hideki answered. "I'm surprised you haven't heard of it, Tomo-chan."

"Hm. It's just a big event that being held in a large hall in the central building from what I've heard. Are you going?" Dai said and asked once more.

I placed an finger in my chin, "Hmm.. Tomo-chan doesn't know... But Tomo-chan will think about it!" I exclaimed.

Dai smirked, while Hideki and Ko grinned. "Alright then, we'll see you there if you do decide to go."

Currently Tamaki was sitting on a table alone, slurping down a bowl of commoners' ramen. I don't know what happened. The others wouldn't say a word.

"Tamaki, stop eating that commoners' ramen, and come help us with the dance party planning." Hikaru said.

"Is princess Kasuga taking a liking to Haruhi really bothering you that much?" Kaoru asked.

Princess Kasuga?

"Her illness isn't something that just started, right?" Kyoya-senpai stated, typing away on his computer.

"Illness?" Haru-chan and I asked.

"Wandering host-hopping disease." Hikaru said shrugging lightly.

"Otherwise known as never-the-same-boy-twice disease." Kauro finished.

I leaned in closer, fascinated by this 'disease' and girl.

"Usually, our regular customers designate to one host only, but she tends to change her favorite on a regular basis." Kyoya-senpai stated, still typing.

Honey-nii appeared next to me with Usa-chan in his arms. "Up until last time, she was with Tama-chan, right?" Honey-nii said.

Haru-chan sighed, "Ah, this is because his guest was taken from him." Haru-chan stated.

Tamaki ran over here, "It is not! That's not why!" He yelled, scaring me and Honey-nii who were now hugging each other. "I'm at my limits of my patience! Haruhi, start dressing like a girl! Why do you have to be so popular with the girls, when you yourself are a girl!? To put it bluntly, the only ones who know that you're a girl are in this club!" Tamaki shouted, ponting his finger at Haru-chan.

"But, Tamaki, if Haru-chan were to dress as a girl she would get kicked out the club and you wouldn't be able to see her. And Haru-chan is popular with the girls because she is one, she knows what to do..." I deadpanned, earning a sweat drop from him.

Tamaki pulled out a random chest and started digging through it, muttering under his breath, he pulled out a painting. No, a picture actually.

"Daddy-- daddy wants to see you the way you were back then!" He shouted, holding a picture of Haru-chan when she had long hair and looked like a girl.

"Please don't go blowing up my photos without asking me!" Haru-chan yelled ticked off.

The boys surrounded the photo, marveling at it. I face palmed. Idiots.

"The more I look at this, the more I marvel at it. How is is that this became that?" Hikaru said, gesturing towards the photo of Haru-chan, to the current Haru-chan.

I turned to Haru-chan.

"The day before entrance ceremonies, I had some gum stuck in my hair from one of the children in my neighborhood. It was such a pain to get out that I cut it off. I didn't really care that I looked like a dude." Haru-chan said.

That's true. When you get gum in your hair, it just becomes a big nuisance that you start thinking about cutting your hair off. I would have cut my hair too.

"Girls should not be referring themselves as a dude!" Tamaki scolded in Haru-chan's face. "Mommy! Haruhi is using dirty words!"

Mommy? I glanced over at Kyoya-senpai.

"Who's 'mommy'?" Kaoru and I asked.

Kyoya-senpai looked between the both of us. "From a club position standpoint, I guess I am." He answered.

I giggled, "Okay, mommy." I smirked.

He gave me a small glare as he pushed his glasses up.

"Well, after all, I can pay back more of my debt before I graduate by being a designated host, than I can as an errand boy." Haru-chan stated.

True.

"By the way, do you have any experience in social dancing?" Hikaru asked. "It's essential for the party."

Haru-chan started to sweat nervously. "Huh? No, but the party has nothing to do with my quota, right?" She said. "I'm not all that interested in going to events, so if I could be excused..."

Tamaki went behind Haru-chan with a devious glint in his eyes. "No, social dances are a common practice for a gentleman. If you want to walk the path of a host that badly, then you have to show us how far your willing to go, Haruhi." Tamaki stated. "If you cannot master the waltz in one week, and demonstrate it to us at next week's party, then I will expose the fact your a girl, and bust you back to an errand boy."

"Tamaki, you can't let anyone know a out her secret, baka. You'll get her kicked out like I said earlier." I said.

Tamaki hung his head. "Mommy! My little daughter is being being mean to daddy!"

Daughter? Daddy? Mommy?! But there both guys? Should I mention it, or do I keep my mouth shut? I thought about it.

Keep my mouth shut it is.

Haru-chan and Kasuga just finished or acting the waltz, they had a few minor mishaps such and Haru-chan falling on top of Kasuga. But Kasuga was teaching Haru-chan how to dance properly.

"Oh, my! You got new cups? Ginori, right?" Kasuga said, examine the green cup in her hand.

"You do indeed have a keen eye. They arrived only yesterday. Lately, our club has been seeking to improve it's tea sets." Kyoya-senpai stated.

She smiled. "I see. It's a nice color. Very lovely." She commented.

Haru-chan smiled. "You must really like tableware, huh?" She asked.

"Yeah, you know a lot about the cups, Kasuga-chan." I pointed out.

Her eyes flew wide open and her mouth hung open too.

"N-N-Not really. No, I don't. My word, what are you talking about?" Kasuga stuttered, laughing weirdly at the end.

I sighed. She does like and know a lot about the tea sets. Why does she hide it?

The door opened, "Hello, I've brought the teacups you've ordered."

I noticed Kasuga's eyes widened as she went stiff.

"Ah, thank you." Kyoya-senpai thanked the boy carrying the box of teacups.

"Every item you choose for us is popular with the girls. It's very impressive." Kyoya-senpai praised.

"That's good to hear." The boy said.

"Are you a dealer or something?" I asked.

"No, I'm just a regular student, I'm wearing a uniform, see?" He said, gesturing to his clothing.

"Oh, I see. Sorry!" I laughed.

Kasuga started to laugh suddenly. "Haruhi-kun, Tomo-chan. You're so funny!" She giggled.

We all turned to her, questioning why she was laughing.

"Still, I can't blame you. He doesn't look like the heir to a first-class corporation, after all." Kasuga mused.

"His family business, Suzushima Trading, is a company whose business centers around the importing of tablewares. Currently, it has the top market share in the country." Kyoya said, as I gasped in awe. "Whenever anything exceptional comes in, we've asked him to send it our way. That's because we trust you eye for these things, Suzushima-kun."

I glanced at the boy. He was staring at Kasuga intensely. I looked over at Kasuga who immediately looked away.

"Oh, no. My eye still has a long way to go." He said.

"Your studying abroad in England starts next month, was it?" Kyoya-senpai stated.

"Yes. Well, I'll be off." He said, leaving the room.

Tamaki walked over to Kasuga, "Are you enjoying the Host Club?" He asked her.

"Are you close to that man who was just here?" I asked, climbing aboard Mori's shoulders.

"Huh?! N-N-Not really. No, I'm not! M-my word. What are you talking about!?" Kasuga stuttered, "N-now, if you'll excuse me... Take care!" She shouted, exiting beyond the doors.

Honey-nii leaped on Haru-chan's back. "Haru-chan! You know what? Suzushima-kun is Kasuga-chan's fiancé." Honey-nii exclaimed.

Fiancé? No wonder why they were staring at each other so intensely. That's probably why Kasuga left so suddenly as well.

Tamaki crossed his arms. "Kyoya, how long have you known?" He asked.

"About her fiancé?" Kyoya-senpai said, holding up a black notebook. "I do of course, conduct general research on our customers."

I shivered. How creepy!

"The two are childhood friends. Their engagement appears to have been arranged by their parents. It didn't particularly seem to be information that we could use, so I just left it alone."

If they were childhood friends. Why is it that they have a problem looking at each other? Even one small glance makes the other freeze up.

"Suzushima Toru: outstanding grades, fair social status, ordinary looks with the reliability as a strong point. If I had to fault him for anything..." Kyoya-senpai trailed off.

"Not much presence." Hikaru stated.

"He's faint-hearted." Kaoru said.

"In other words, he plain. That's it." Kyoya-senpai stated, shutting his notebook shut.

"Toru-kun is a good boy, right?" Honey-nii asked, from Mori's other shoulder.

"Yeah." Mori replied emotionlessly.

"Now, let's examine our strategy." Tamaki announced.

"Which one?" We all asked.

"Ouran Host Club exists in order to bring happiness to girls!" Tamaki shouted.
