Chapter 6
Get ready.

Y/N
I tried not to look at any of them. I didn't want them knowing I had seen them.
Think think think think THINK!
I kept a chill, cool demeanor, even though that was the opposite of what I was thinking.
I can't outrun them. Or outsmart them. Or....
I remembered something. I remembered the god damn nuggets. The two hundred shucking nuggets crammed into my backpack.
Hey, how long has it been since any of them ate cooked food? Like, fast food?
They love the stuff, but I'm guessing maybe a week or two, but because they're all anti social sociopaths, they don't get out much. Smile dog answered.
I turned a corner. Then another. And then another. I looked around. No one had followed me.
I sighed a breath of relief, knowing that I might have a couple more minutes to think. I decided that maybe if I stuck to a crowd the rest of the day, they most likely wouldn't try to harass me. I had been thinking awhile now, and noticed the sun was past its peak. It was probably two or three O' Clock. I got up and hurriedly made my way towards the bus station. I noticed I was in a square made by the apartments and shops. I had to be a little more aware of my surroundings from now on.
The hairs on the back of my neck stood up, and I cursed. They where watching me. I knew it in my jellies. Don't ask. I got up and was almost out of the square when a soft thud could be heard from behind me.
"Aw, fuccing shet." I said, as if I had lost a two and a half hour game of checkers. I looked behind me, to see Masky, holding a crowbar.
"Oooooh shiiiiit." I mumble. I was scared out of my wits, but kept my cool as far as my wits could take me. I looked to my left just in time to see Jeff fall from the apartment building and land right next to me. He swung his stupid knife and it hit me in the arm, and had I not moved, it would have slashed my torso Toriel style. I ran, and felt adrenaline course through my veins. I didn't feel the pain, or the fear, just the pure, primal instinct to run like hell.
And run I did.
I ran until I was pretty sure my legs where at the melting point, and until my lungs would explode, but adrenaline kept me going.
I checked over my shoulder, and realized something my stupid brain had missed.
"Where the hell is Ticci-
I crash into someone, and practically ran right over him.
Oh.
There's Toby.
I didn't think he was expecting me to run him over like the stampeding rhinoceros I was acting out as. He got up. I had wished it was Masky I had run over, because Toby couldn't feel pain. He popped up like a flower in the snow.
God freaking dang it.
I stopped for a moment, ripped open my backpack, and flung two boxes of chicken nuggets at him, "Sorry!" I said, before tearing off. I wouldn't have been surprised if I made him eat my gravel on accident, I was running so fast. I could've been the Uasin Bolt of my school.
So the suckers knew where I lived. Joy has blessed my heart. They also knew where my LCS was. Maybe if I asked the bus driver really nicely and paid him, I could spend the night on the bus? No... I didn't want to involve anyone else in this mess. I passed the park, and glanced at the forest. I had stopped running, and took on a jog. That's when I noticed I looked like I had come out of a paper shredder. Both my arms where cut up, and there was a hecking slash wound on my thigh. I guess that was when I barreled into Toby. It was bleeding pretty badly. I know, I could spend the night at the hospital. Even though most try to avoid this in murder mysteries, I could make up a story as to how I got all cut up.
Later, I stood in the hospital, standing at the front desk. I didn't know if I was in the ER, because soon, I'm pretty sure I fainted from blood loss.
Well shit.
Toby's p.o.v
I stood in the ally, waiting for Y/N. Jeff and Hoodies job was to make it so that she would run for the nearest exit point, and I stood smack in the middle of it. I could hear the running of footsteps, and readied my hatchets. She came tearing down the ally. She was looking over her shoulder. I had the sudden realization she was going a gazillion miles an hour, and that she didn't know I was in the way. Too bad I realized that just was she crashed into me. I made a move to cut her in the stomach, missed, and made a good sized slash on her thigh. I was slammed to the concrete, and praised Slenderman that I couldn't feel pain. I look up to realize she stopped running. She was bleeding out. I smiled, but stopped when she sharply turned around, threw two, not one, but two, boxes of forty piece chicken nuggets at me, then yelling an apology before sprinting off at remarkable, if not impossible, speed. I look down at the boxes, opened one, and noticed a note on the inside of the lid.
Hey, just thought you all would be hungry.
P.s, Toby, look at the bottom.
I stared at the note, confused, when I turned over the box and noticed a container taped to the bottom. I sniffed the air, and immediately identified it as waffles.
"Bitch is crazy." I mumbled, unknowingly smiling, before walking back to meet Jeff and Hoodie.
Back to Y/N
I woke up, not really sure where I was. Everything was white, and everything seemed way to bright. "Is this heaven?" I ask.
"No, miss. This is the hospital." A woman's voice replies. I look around, and notice a pretty lady sitting down at a desk next to the bed, where I just realized I was lying down. The nurse looked at me, and looked back at her laptop. I felt fine. Too fine. Maybe it was painkillers.
The nurse looked at me again, "Miss, someone will be here in a few to ask you a couple questions as to what happened three days ago." She said.
I felt my eyebrows go up, "I've been here for three days?" I ask. The nurse nodded, "Though, with the amount of blood you lost, it's quite remarkable you haven't been asleep for more time." She said.
We where quite until a man walked in, and the nurse took her leave. The man sat down, with a notepad in hand, looking all professional.
"Okay, Y/N, I'm Mr. Montegram, I'm with SI, and I'm here to ask you a couple questions as to what happened the night you came here. Let's start with the basics. Who attacked you?"
I racked my brain for some gangs I knew to hang around at night. Okay.
"His name is Cruise, but I don't know his real name. He came at me with a switch. Two other guys where there, though, I couldn't see their faces..." I lied. And lies I did tell. I lied up an entire story about how I lost my food and money to the guys, and ran until I couldn't feel that I was hurt until I was at the hospital. That last part was as true as the gash on my leg.
"You're going to catch them, aren't you?" I ask, faking a hopeful, yet scared expression.
"We'll do what we can." He said, before leaving. When he left, I smiled, and relaxed. I was thinking about what just happened. The guy seemed nice, very professional, but why...
Why would they send a guy from SI to ask questions?
(If you don't know, SI is short for Special Investigations. They handle all the stuff the police and such can't, from werewolves, to people using legit magic to burn down building in order to summon an entity outside of our realty, and in this case, urban legends come to life.)
