1. Maaari mo bang ibahagi sa amin ang kuwento sa likod ng iyong Wattpad username?

At one point, I enjoyed watching Clint Eastwood movies. Particularly, the 'spaghetti western' movies e.g. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, kung saan puro cowboy ang roles niya. I somehow liked the idea of living in the ranch and being a cowgirl to, hence the 'cowgirl' in my username connected to Ana, which is my first name.

2. Kung bibigyan ka ng pagkakataon na makapagsulat ng kahit anong kuwento na walang limitasyon, ano ang magiging tema nito?

Fantasy/Mythology. Masyadong limitado nga lang ang resources pagdating sa PH mythology dito sa Pilipinas kaya mahirap simulan.

3. Ano ang pinakamahirap na aspeto ng pagiging manunulat?

I think, mas mahirap siya once na gawin mo na siyang profession o career. When it's just a hobby, you have the freedom to do anything with your writing. Pero kapag trabaho mo na siya, marami kang dapat i-consider.

4. Saan mo nakikita ang sarili mo pagkalipas ng limang taon?

Hopefully, mas may creative freedom pagdating sa pagsusulat.

5. Ano ang naging inspirasyon mo sa pagsulat ng iyong kwento na "Rough"?

Rough is inspired by one of the crossroads I had in life kung saan hindi ko mapinpoint kung bakit ang mga pangarap ko noon para sa akin ay tila nag-iba. Katulad ito ng mga karakter sa kuwento (Sondra and Sam), na inakalang kontento na sila sa naging success nila sa buhay (as fashion model, as business man) pero sa huli, na-realize nila na puwede pa rin magbago ang pangarap nila sa buhay at i-pursue ito kahit 'late' na para sa kanila. It is inspired by the reflection I had that some people and events might change your mind about your current dreams and goals, and I through Rough I hope the story will inspire readers to be brave enough to accept that we change course or career sometimes. Our plans or dreams in life isn't always consistent. It's okay to change some details about it. Because just like people, [how we envision] our dreams and goals in life can also be diamonds in the rough, that needed a little polishing before they shine for us.

6. Ngayong buwan ng Nobyembre ipinagdiriwang ang Philippine Book Development Month. Para sa iyo, anong libro ang nagbigay inspirasyon sa iyo upang yumabong ang iyong pagsusulat ng kuwento?

Happy Philippine Book Development Month! Btw, this seems to be the hardest question that I have encountered, hehe. I read a lot of books (since I was six years old up to now!), and all of them have contributed a little bit of this and that type of wisdom and inspiration that helped me as a writer. Pero ang most impactful sa akin (at sa pagsusulat ko) ay: 1) Mariah Carey's autobiographical book, "The Meaning of Mariah Carey" written with Michaela Angela Davis, 2) nakapagsulat ako ng una kong story dahil sa comic series ng Liwayway na "Pusakal", 3) mga akda nina R.L. Stine (Fear Street series), Christopher Pike (The Midnight Club + The Wicked Heart), Luna King (The Fourth Order Series + Night Sky), Martha Cecilia (Kristine Series), at Andrea Almonte (El Greco + Fuentebella Series).

7. Anong isang mahalagang leksyon na natutunan mo bilang isang manunulat?

Mahalaga ang focus sa pagsusulat. Focus on your own works, own readers, and own writing journey. Be in a place where you can focus. Write on schedules where you can focus on writing.

8. Maaari mo bang ibahagi sa amin paano mo ginagawa at binubuo ang mga karakter ng iyong mga kwento?

Honestly, they just randomly come into mind. Characterization is one of the things that is out of my control when I write because I write stories that is centered on the plot, not the character.

9. Ano ang iyong motto bilang manunulat? Bakit ito ang iyong naging motto?

"Longevity over power." (Imbentong motto, hahaha!) With power you have to stick to things or concepts that makes you powerful (or marketable). With longevity, you are given more time to evolve and develop (as a writer). I prefer to have a lot of time to write everything than write about the same stories/charaters over and over again.

10. May maipapayo ka ba sa mga bagong manunulat?

Do what works best for you and your writing career/hobby. Hindi mo kailangang gumaya sa iba o makipagsabayan sa ibang manunulat.

11. Ano ang mensahe mo sa iyong mga mambabasa?

Masaya ako na nadiskubre ninyo ang mga kuwento ko sa Wattpad. At doble ang saya tuwing nakakausap ko kayo sa DM, socials, o comments.
