Chelsea's POV

It's like two, almost three in the afternoon and I have been thinking about what happened way earlier this morning.

"Okay Truce! Shift's over. You can go home and get all cozy. Stay out the snow as much as possible," I hear my head call, Nurse Johnson.

I was standing at the entrance desk talking to one of the pagers about a patient I was taking care of.

"Okay! Thanks for the update Nurse!" I reply. "I'll talk to you later Yolanda," I told a pager.

"Sure thing Chelse," Yolanda replied. I started to walk away with my clipboard, "Oh yeah one more thing!" Yolanda shouted. She caught my attention and I whipped my head around.

"Yeah L?"

Yolanda stood up from her station and hurried to me. She git close to my ear and started to whisper, "Did you do it?" She asked me.

"What? No," I said shaking my head smiling. "L I'm a nurse! I should know if I have symptoms or not. And I do not," I say laughing.

"Mmhmm okay...still take it,"  Yolanda finalised. She started walking briskly to her desk.

"I won't bet on it!" I informed.

"Take the test!"

"Ugh fine! Only for you," I say almost dying of laughter.

"Thanks boo! You can go now," Yolanda said, "Oh yeah! Say hi to Mrs.Truce for me please!"

"No problem!" I smile and I walk to the staff room. I gave my clipboard to the nurse after my shift, Nurse Rose.

"Okay Rosie, Mr.Thompson here is expected to have a new IV in in the next..." I pause to look down at my wristwatch, "20 minutes okay?" Nurse Rose nodded in agreement. "Make sure to check on him regularly, he likes the attention. His daughter should be coming in a few hours, all of the rest of his information should be on the next sheet." I hold up the paper for the next page, "Yup! Right there!"

Rosie examined and reviewed everything I just said, "Okay I have it Chelsea, get home safely okay?"

"I will, thank you!" I replied.

I grabbed and put on my jacket, I pick up my bag and take my keys out. I waved goodbye to everyone on the way out with the hand that held the keys and finally exited the hospital to go home.I get in my car and start my journey home.

After 2 hours if traffic, I finally got to my house. I get out my car and run inside from being so cold just longing for warmth. As soon as I opened my door, warmth rushes out the house and greets me with a hug feeling.I step in and close the door.

"Hey momma!" I shouted so she can hear me. I dropped my bag on the floor and flopped over the living room couch. I sit there for a while waiting for a response...nothing. "Mom? Momma?" I panicked. I rush out the couch and run to my mother's room. I burst open the door. My concern turned into anger. "MOMMA!" I shouted. I found my mother sitting at the edge of her bed on the phone.

"Secret phone calls? Really??"

"Honey it's not what it looks like!" My mother defended.

"UGH!" I grumbled out of frustration. I slam the door and raced and locked myself in my room.

Okay guys! It is legit 11:55pm! And I JUST finished type this. I promised I will update EVERYDAY and I am sticking to it lol.
