After a while of contemplating whether or not to let them in, I opened the door wide for all of them to enter.

'That's a nice girl' he said and booped my nose.

I shook my head as I closed the door behind me.
The guys sat on the couch opposite my girls and were staring at them in amusement. We all had short shorts and shirts on cause this was uncalled for.

'Can you guys tell me why we have to work together?' I asked.

'I would ask you the same thing' the leader said.

'We thought this was a plan work between you and Mr Sunny' Chloe asked.

'It's not a plan work of anybody, the message got to us yesternight' a guy said.

'Before we go further in this, maybe we should introduce ourselves' maria said.

Maria loves making friends and she uses her girly voice to captivate all guys that approaches her.
I picked her up as a hawker. Her mum is a drug addict and likewise for her dad. They never had her time. Now, she's a millionaire and her parent want her back but, she have a hard heart towards them though she sends money to them every month but have never seen them for years.

There was silence for a few seconds, then a guy from the New Boys spoke up.

'I'm Max Marco' he said.

'Nice to meet you, max' she stretched her hand for a handshake but, Zee smacked her hand and she withdraw it.

'Micheal Maris' the guy who called her girly the other day said.

Everyone's eyes were now on me and I gulped.

This... is...really... embarrassing!

In my life, I have never experienced such deadly eyes on me.

'What?' I asked and the guy who was to introduce himself after me, shot his eyebrows up.

'It's your turn' Chloe said.

My eyes were on the remaining guy who haven't introduced himself yet.

'Oh yeah! I'm Stacy Melghart' I said and unfolded my arms.
'Alex Cameroon' he said.
So the most expensive name I was to go on my knees for is Alex Cameroon? Guys can be jokes sometimes.

'So now back to business, does anyone knows why we are to go to...' I stopped talking.

'Continue' Alex said.
'Where are we even going to?' I asked.
They all looked at each other with blank expressions.
We don't know where we are going to, we only know we are going somewhere, Brilliant!

'And what are we going to do when we get to the place we are heading to?' Max asked.
'The message said we are to contribute something for the competition to be held' Maria said.
'So the purpose is for us to gather some money?' Micheal asked.

'Not just money, valuables' Chloe said.

'Hold up' I said and they all stopped talking and looked up to me.

'The second message says we gotta do it together and for six months in...' I stopped as I stared at the given place.

'Where is it?' Alex asked but I was stunned to say anything about it.

I didn't respond. Chloe stood up and from the corner of my eyes, I saw Micheal staring at her.

She collected the phone and read the message.

'It's California' she said.
'I can't go there' I whispered.
'What? Why?' Alex asked.

'She lost her dad there' Maria said.
'Oh...I'm.. I'm sorry to hear that' Alex said.

All eyes were on me now. I slowly made my way upstairs.

California? I can't go there. What if I end up dead like my dad? What if my life is going to end there? What if... What if my dad's grave is waiting for me?

Knock-Knock

I stared at the door as it opened and Chloe came in. I quickly stood up and went to her.

'I can't go there, Chloe, not now, not ever' I whispered.

'Look Stacy, this is what we've all been waiting for. I mean, it surprises me that we have to go to where your dad died and with the New Boys but, that should not stop you. Not now, not ever'
She whispered and hugged me.
Chloe is a person of encouragement. She got this thing in her guts that tells her if someone is sad or not.
She's my closest friend in the group. Her parent died at a car accident when she was nine and it has been a little rough for her. She made a vow to marry someone encouraging as her. Chloe is a daring and stubborn person. She got blue eyes that every guy wish for, for his partner. Her character is optimistic and she's always positive. I love her for that.

'Let's go' I said.
We made our way downstairs and I found the others talking but, Alex head was bent downward.

'Fine. I'll will go' I said and cleared my throat.
Alex looked up immediately he heard my voice.

'You don't have to.. It'd give you memories' Alex said and I nodded and half smiled.
'Don't worry, I will be able to handle it' I said and he nodded and smiled.

'So we good?' Micheal asked.
'We sure are' Chloe said and they both smiled at each other.
I got a feeling those two will go a long way.

'So, instead of wasting your time, why not you head home and prepare?' I asked.

'Sure... Boys' he called the rest as he stood up and faced them.

'Let's let them rest' he said and they all stood up.

'Thanks for your homage' he said and I nodded.

We, the girls escorted them to the door and the girls too left from there.

'Bye, I'll see you tomorrow' I said and they waved and left.

Today is very eventful.
I collapsed on the bed and soon sleep was my name.

The Next Day...
I woke up because my phone was ringing vigorously over my head.

I grabbed the phone and saw Mr Sunny's name on the screen.

'Hello, Mr Sunny, I'm on my way' I said.

'Head to the airport with your bags Stacy' he said and I answered and hunged up.

I got a bath and all my clothes were packed in two boxes of mine.
As I went out, I saw a car waiting for me already.

'Need a spin?' it was Alex.

'Goodmorning, Alex' I said and he replied with a smile.

He came out of the car and opened the boot of it and arranged my boxes in it.

'You know you don't have to do that' is said and he chuckled.

'Even I know that, I just did that due to Mr Sunny orders' he said and I smiled.
We both got in and he zoomed off in high speed to the airport.

'Dude! Can you slow down a bit?!' I yelled cause the wind that was blowing plus the speed was too much.

'I can if you'd let me' he yelled and I maintained.

We sat in silence and we soon reached the airport on no time.
The girls and guys were already there.

'Good day Mr Sunny' I greeted with a warm smile.

'Hello Stacy' he answered.
We were all gathered and he spoke up.

'We all know why you guys got to travel together...' he paused and we stared at him making him to continue.

'The New Boys come from California, so you girls will live in the group house. It's a large and expensive house so no worries' he said.

California. I dread that word.

'Plane 77 California is about to take off' a loud speaker said.

'Ok. Hurry up and get inside' Mr Sunny said.

We all rushed into the plane.
I stopped and looked back at Mr Sunny.

He nodded and smiled and I smiled back. Alex smiled as his head was bowed.

My home town. Where I was raised. Mexico.

I'll make you proud.

I went in and Alex also went in.
The plane was a wide and tall one.
