Get to work!

  'Stacy, get up! It's six!'
One of the boys voice, I know that very well.

My neck wrinkled as I turned to look at the big wall clock in front of me. It's past six.

I letted go of my head and it bounced on the bed again.
I had a nice night but, it feels like I got hit by a lorry.

I steadily setted my legs on the ground as I slipped my tiny feets into the girly flip-flops.

'Yeah, give me a sec' I mumbled and I heard footsteps leave the corridor of the room.

My feet went to directions that made me stagger but, not fall. I am behaving drunk, what's wrong with me.

As I slipped into the bathroom, my feet led itself to the brushing mirror and I brushed my teeth.
I splashed water on my face profusely and I look like I'm sweaty.

I had a quick bath and headed downstairs.

They were all sitting down laughing, while Alex was on his computer. I pulled a seat from the dining table and sat on it. As I pulled it, their laughter reduced as they turned to look at me.

  'Goodmorning' I greeted.
'Goodmorning, Stacy' they chorused and Alex turned on his wheel chair.

'So, I got a message from Mr Sunny and he said we should work together like normal individuals...' Alex started.

He said those words like a preacher.

'And... We have to share our ideas with one another' he said and his eyes spun to mine. I froze.

His eyes looks calm and innocent. His hair spinning and through it you can read his thoughts.

'I and Merinna have been talking about it last night, and we've come out with an idea' Xavier said.

My eyes went to Merinna, whose eyes were caught up in mine.

'We were thinking of selling ice-cream on a pole at maybe close to a school,or something' Merinna echoed and my eyes went to the floor.

Not bad. It'd help students alot if they are exhausted.

'Okay, any other opinions, we will keep Merinna and Xavier for a later conclusion' Alex said.

I stared at each on of them and Maria stood up all of a sudden.

'I and Max thought of walking dogs for couples' she said and ran a hand from her hip to her lap.

  'Walking dogs?' Alex asked.

'It's not a bad idea' my tongue slipped.

'Walking with dogs are good and also building an ice-cream stand. We will make researches for the closest school nearby but, before then, let's work with walking with dogs' I chanted.

They all stared at me with blank expressions.

'Unless, if you don't want it, I just thought I should say something…'

'No it's okay. Totally awesome' Alex said without allowing me to finish.

'We are walking with dogs' he said and the rest started talking about the dresses to wear. Alex half-smiled at me and I returned it gladly.

  Thirty Minutes Later...

I scanned the house we came to and the couple in front of me.

'The dogs actually needs a walk, they have been in one place for weeks, twenty dollars per hour' the husband of the beautiful lady said.

The guy was staring at me awkwardly as I leaned on the corridor. His wife nudged his  arms and he stepped back.

I rolled my eyes in disgust. I'm not your girl bro.

'Thank you' Cameron said as he collected the chain of the seven dogs and we turned and left.

'We will split up, let's see what we can do...' Alex said as he tapped his chin.

'Merinna and Xavier you take the puddle dog' Alex said and gave them the chain.

'Maria and Max, the bull dog' he said and gave max the chain. The dog was growling and licking his lips which is... So disgusting because, the saliva is thick and slimy and so...

'Chloe and Micheal...' Alex handed over to them a country dog.

  'Louis and Zelda...' he stopped

'It's Zelda, right?' he asked and I chuckled silently.

'Yeah, you can call me zee' she said and collected the chain.

'Zoey and Zac' he said and gave them another puddle.

Celia and cameron collected the remaining puddle and left a puppy dog for us.

  'Seriously?' Alex asked.

All of them bursted into laughter and I just smiled.

'You guys can go anywhere, just be back by four in the same venue' he said and we all departed.

We both looked at ourselves and I quickly looked ahead.

'Let's go' he said and he dragged the dog forward as I followed him side by side.

We walked a few steps in an awkward silence which made the hair of my body rise and it gave me goosebumps.

'So, what made you indulge into the music business?'

Oops.

Alex P. O. V

Stacy's hair fluttered as the wind chased after it. My tongue has seriously gotten obsessed with talking to her.

But, this is wrong. It's totally wrong. We supposed to be working together only on a project, not having feelings.

I stared at her earnestly, waiting for my reply.

   'Um... Well' she stuttered.

I can feel the spirit of laughter erupting in me now, ha!
She looks so uninterpreted when she stutters.

'I'm a free person' I whispered and she looked up at me.

Oooh, My God! Her eyes are so gorgeous!

'Let's seat here' she said and she bent slightly to turn and she led the way to a city bench nearby.

As we sat down, the puppy sat and whined a little. Then another puppy found its way to the puppy we had.

'My dad died when I was four...' she started.

'Ever since then, I and my mum catered for what to eat, where to stay, what to wear... Our lives' she then adjusted and placed her hands in her pockets.

'But then, people complimented me of various talents of mine. But, I picked the talent my mum chose for me. Singing.' she turned like a counsellor and stared at me. I audibly gulped, cause her stare is taking me off-
guard.

'Then, I started singing in bars, on the streets and many other places. Then, God did it. He sent a man, who picked me up from the crimson dust and placed me on top of an altar. The first night I performed in front of six-million people... That night made me who I am today.' she stared at me and then looked ahead.

'What about you? What made a gentleman man like you get into a music business'

I laughed softly and she followed suit.

'I'm an orphan' I spoke in a whisper.

She stopped laughing immediately and the smile on her face dried up.

'I'm sorry to hear that' she whispered and I nodded.

'There were drug addicts. They manipulated the rules of California... That day, the corps made their way to our house and banged the door open and shot two bullets at their heads... And that was the day they promised me, they'd drop the act.' I paused.

Alex Cameron is my name. I am a guy of prestige and determination my parents were killed in front of me by the corps of california, when I was six. Now, they were drug addicts, and they just resigned from the stupid acts they included themselves in.

I started singing in bars when I was eight. I and a girl that I barely knew her name, became close friends. The only regret I had in the friendship, was that I didn't ask of her name.

I couldn't continue, tears of sorrow and doubts erupted in me. Vigor started as a cherry on top of my doubts. Life seems crucial.

'Let's drop that' I whispered and she nodded.

'It's will soon be four, just an hour left' I said.

When I stared at her, she stared down at her palms.

'Let's go' I said and stood up and offered her a hand as she stood up.

   Hope seems close...
