Camping Feelings
Alex P.O.V
The tent looks more like an apartment.
We arrived last night in complete safety and no harm. She tried to talk but, I didn't answer. It may seem rude but, the memories are so excruciating.
I and Stacy with twenty others are outside now, waiting for Mr Sunny to blurt out the words held tight in his mouth.
'How's your journey? Splendid?' he asked and all of us, the leaders, laughs.
'The first activity on our list is to rest...'
Everyone burst into laughter except I and Stacy who just bent her head to the right side in thoughts.
'Are you okay?'
Stacy P.O.V
My eyes scanned the people, especially guys, that passed by me.
'Hello, Sweetie'
I turned to face a guy who have a cute hair-do and his hair covered his left eye.
'Hello'
I said almost like a whisper.
'What group are you in?'
This time, he is so close that if I'm not careful, he'd enter me.
'I'm a merit. I'm the leader of the merits'
'Cool. I'm the leader of the Harishes'
'Really? That's nice. When did you start?'
'About two years ago and it's a blow'
'Oh... Beautiful'
He then take a step forward looking down at me.
'Just like you' be whispered.
'Hey!' I heard someone call out.
Alex. Oh! Thank goodness!
'Leave her alone' he said.
The guy eyed Alex and looked down at me.
'Love you girl' he said and left.
I stare at him as he left to another lady. He's a flirt, no big deal to doubt that. My head raised to look for Alex who is now looking forward.
'Thank you'
He didn't reply instead he ran a hand through his hair.
He then beckoned me to follow him to the signing up place that they call it.
'Merits and New boys, please' he said looking angry and stressed out.
'Here you go' the lady attending to us said and gave us two tents, thank God I know how to set a tent.
'Where are you going to set yours?' I asked but, he shoved it off.
'Or rather sleep?'
Still, no reply.
Ok! That's it!
'Alex what's wrong?'
I jumped in front of him and he stopped and ran a hand through his hair.
'I'm sorry, Ok? I'm sorry for making you remember your past and what happened when I wasn't there' I yelled.
He then looked at me with his blue, admirable eyes.
'I'm sorry'
I made my way out on him and left to a site below a tree to set the tent.
I said it alright. Well done Stacy, you got it all wrong.
Alex P.O.V
'Geez dude, don't get a girl to apologize' a guy not up to her age said.
'Should that be any of your business?'
The guy hissed and walked out on me.
If only she knew what I'm facing, she won't say anything like that. I mean, yeah I'm twenty but, I started having crushes since 12 but hers... It makes my heart beat faster. It makes my blood to work faster than before. Sick, she brings healing, sad she brings happiness.
We set the tents carefully in a silence that isn't awkward at all, but preserves tension in the air.
'Stacy... '
She looks up at me with those brown, beautiful eyes of hers.
'Fine. I'm sorry for keeping you in suspense by not answering your questions and giving you replies you ought to hear. But, you should know that I don't really want to answer questions right now...'
'Look Alex, don't think you are the only one that got a bad child upbringing and an experience that got no explanation...'
She looks down at the ground.
'I'm sorry' she mumbles silently.
My hands can not control itself, as it pulls her close into a close and tight hug.
I buried her head into my chest and felt the warm temperature of her head on my chest. She don't want to let go, so we remained like that for what seems like forever.
'Are you okay, now?'
I felt a slight smile pierce on my chest.
'I'm better than okay'
I smiled. That's what I wanna hear.
'Speaking of okay, I got sandwiches in my backpack...' she pulled out gently and looked up at me.
'Want some' she said and did a cute face that makes every guy give in.
'Having that isn't bad... Sure, let's go'
She smiled like a little girl that got a compliment from her dad.
She leads me into her tent.
Whoa!
Never heard of a girl that knows how to set tents very well. She sets it like a pro.
I sit on a long mat that got a very nice design on 'em.
She got a smile that I love so much. The feelings I have for her is so painful and joyful at the same time. She looks so beautiful and worth it to have a guy like Sam in her life. But I? Am I worth it? I mean, there must be an explanation for this feelings. Is it puberty? Is it maturity? Am I on right track here?
There are so many unanswered questions that needs answers and explanations and I hope I can manage to get.
Looking at her gives me joy, but... Am I the one? Am I the one that is her partner?
'Here you go'
She said interrupting my thoughts and disrupting my mind.
'Thanks'
She sat beside me and took a bite of her sandwich.
'So... Do you have any plans during this period?'
Stacy's P.O.V
I made sure the question seems embarrassing so as to get him.
'Many. I wanted to visit the forest of horses...'
'A forest name?'
He turned to look at me as he continued.
'No. The real name is Maziz, the forest of the horses'
'Maziz…'
Interesting. Maybe this is why history is important, huh.
'Do you think the rest will come up with a better idea?'
'Maybe that's our only hope'
His eyes then diverted to my lips as he leaned closer. I felt something rising up in me, is it the hormones?
'Maybe we should get some sleep, don't you think?' I asked.
I am not ready for a kiss now or... Whatever he wanted to do. I bet it's a kiss.
'Yeah, sure' he said and stood up and walked to the entrance.
'Alex...'
He stopped and looked back at me.
'Thank you'
He smiled his best smiles and nodded.
Alex P.O.V
Stacy. She is my heart. I don't know if she knows, but I do.
Pretty girl.
