Going back
Dipper Pines POV: It seems like it's been forever since I've been to Gravity Falls, Oregon when in reality it's only been a year. It's a place like no other and it was hard to be away for so long. That's why I'm glad I decide to move there. With my career in mystery writing booming I'm going to need all the inspiration I can get.
"Hey, Dip! You ready to go or not?" My twin sister Mabel yelled out from downstairs. She was moving to Gravity Falls also.
"I'm coming! Just let me pack a few more things!" I replied. I looked around my old bedroom. I'm going to miss my old home. This place has so much memories that are going to make it hard to leave.
I grab my last bag and run downstairs. Most of my stuff has already been packed and loaded into my car.
"There's my young man!" My mom said with tears in her eyes. I feel a little guilty about leaving, knowing how hard this is for my parents.
I dropped my bag and gave her a big hug. "I'm going to miss you." I whispered in her ear. After we let go I wipe the tears from my eyes.
"What? No hug for your old man?" My dad said from behind me, scary me a bit. I smiled and gave him a hug as well.
Mabel came into the room to say her goodbyes as well. Everyone in the room was trying not to let the others see their tears.
"Alright, I guess we better get going. It's a long drive." I said. After another round of hugs and goodbyes we finally get in the car. We look out the window at my parents as we pull away. A part of me was sad that I had to leave them, while another part of me was excited for this new life.
"Mabel, can you please get your pig to sit down?" I asked, a bit annoyed at Waddles for climbing all over me while I'm trying to drive.
"I'm trying but you know how he feels about car rides." I rolled my eyes at her response. It was going to be a long ride.

After hours on the road we finally pull into the Mystery Shack. It hasn't seem to change since last year, other then Soos finally fixing that broken letter on the shack. I step out car, leaving my stuff inside, and run inside.
Even though everything looked the same, filled with the same fake stuff, it seemed different. Wendy no longer worked here, instead she ran her father's logging company. Soos was no longer just a maintenance man but now ran the shack with her wife, Melody. And Grunkle Stan and Ford weren't here anymore, as they were too busy traveling the world looking for new adventures.
"Dudes!" A familiar voice cried out. All of a sudden me and Mabel were pulled into a bone crushing hug.
"Soos!" I said as I recognized my old friend. He continued to hug us for a few more minutes before we beg him to let us go so we can breath.
"How've you been man?" I ask as I look around the mystery. He wasn't wearing his old mystery sign shirt, instead he was wearing a black suit and Stan's old hat. It's alway's odd to see him in Grunkle Stan's old hat.
"I'm good now that you guys are here!" He replied as he pulled us into another hug.
"Now wait don't we get you guys unpacked!" Soos and Melody were kind enough to let us stay at the Mystery Shack until we find a place of our own.

It didn't take long to unload my car. We left a lot of it in there, since we'll only been staying here for a little while. Afterwards we were all pretty hungry so Melody suggested that we all go eat at the Greasy Spoon. I agreed, thinking it'll be nice to go see some of our old friends again. I drive me and Mabel down there, since Soos and Melody had to clean up the Mystery Shack. I offered to help but they insisted we go ahead and catch up with everyone while we wait.
Gravity Falls hasn't changed a bit, which was quite comforting to me. As we pulled into the Greasy Spoon I was almost overwhelmed with memories, some good and some not. "It's good to be back." I thought to myself.
As we walked in, I noticed it was pretty dead tonight. I talk a bit with Lazy Susan and Tad Strange. There were two people talking in the kitchen but I paid them no mind. Soos and Melody soon joined us.
"So what are you guys planning on doing now that your back in town." Melody asked, as her hands rubbed her belly. She was expecting her baby in just a couple of months, something both her and Soos were very excited about.
"Well now that we're back for good we need to find our own place. Plus I think Mabel wants to find a studio." Mabel has a lot of different projects, from her photography business to her radio station. She loved having a lot of different outlets for her creativity and is always working.
That seemed to prompt Mabel to ramble on about her radio station, Mabel and Pig, and what's next for it. I kind of tuned her out since she's told me all this a millions times before.
"Hey! Are you guys ready to order?" A voice came from behind me. Startled, I looked at where the voice came from. My eyes widen with shock.
"Pacifica?"
