We all belong to a family. We share a name with our families. And belonging to a family makes us so happy and glad. In the previous chapter, we read and understood  the benefits of dwelling in His presence. In this chapter, we'll learn how Jesus gave us a family to belong to.

- So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, the perfect Father of every father and child in heaven and on the earth.
Ephesians 3:14-15 TPT

 We have a family through Jesus
 

Paul kneels before the Father. But he specifies which Father he is talking about. He says, "Father of our Lord Jesus." It's important to know this. God is our Father. And we need to relate with Him as such. If we see God as some mystical power, we wouldn't be able to relate with Him.
That's why in the old testament, people couldn't relate with God as their Father. 
That's why Paul is excited about His sharing with us. He says, "the perfect Father of every father and child in heaven and on earth."
 

God is our Father. And we should see Him that way. He being our Father makes Him:
a) Our protector
b) Our source
c) Our nourisher

We are named after our Father in heaven! In the same way that we all carry the names of our fathers here on earth, is the same way that we are named after Mighty God of Heaven and Earth!
Every thing we are, comes from the power of our heavenly Father.

That's why Jesus always fellowshipped with His Father. He needed strength. If Jesus needed that fellowship to survive, how much more us, who still dwell in this world?
 Knowing Jesus is a benefit! And we need to know this as children of the Most High God! Glory to God!
