4Let's Get Cassie A Boo

@CastielNovak Thanks on a great first class, everyone. Had one of our first birthday parties and it turned out well.

"Why what?" Lisa started.

"Why'd you do it?"

She slipped off the bed and put her clothes back on, refusing to look away from him. She was baffled at how calm he was being. "I don't know."

"What the fuck do you mean 'I don't know'?! 'I don't know' my ass, Lisa. You knew what you were doing the whole time. So tell me why before I go bash that cocky son-of-a-bitch's head into his windshield."

And there it was. He finally snapped. Dean didn't cry often but it was clear that tears had filled his eyes. But Lisa wasn't sad. She wasn't even all that guilty. She liked it and she wasn't afraid to admit it.

"Listen, Dean. I'm sorry that I cheated on you. I went out with my coworkers a few weeks ago and saw him and I just couldn't keep my hands off him. He had paint everywhere cause apparently he works at the new studio and my God - he looked good." She stopped, shaking her head to get back onto topic. "And one thing led to another and I wanted you but you were busy so I called him." She finished explaining, her thoughts all out of order.

Dean groaned at the headache forming behind his eyes. "Give me your ring."

Lisa looked taken aback. "What?"

"Give me your engagement ring. Now." Lisa trudged her way over and slipped the ring off before placing it in his hands.

She looked up at him with puppy dog eyes. "Can I kiss you one last time?"

He glared back at her. "Even think of doing so much as texting me and I'll break your fucking nose." With that, he walked out.

Lisa stood from her place in the doorway as Dean left, feeling her heart drop. She just abandoned her entire relationship for some 'good' dick. And all she felt guilty for was getting caught.

He was fuming. His head, chest, and stomach hurt as all of the emotions overwhelmed him. He could never let anyone know just how he feels. He rarely ever cried in front of Sam and if he did, it was accidental. But right now, if Dean was to deal with this alone, he knew he'd probably end up hurting Baby. So he gripped his steering wheel tighter and sniffled, blinking away tears that spilled from his eyes.

After what seemed like a millenia, Dean parked Baby with near perfection. He was a good driver even in that emotional state.

The painting from the porch had gone missing so Dean assumed Sam had taken it upstairs with him. He was now basically holding his breath to stop the sobs from escaping him. After fumbling for a minute with the keys, he pushed one in the lock and twisted. It opened for him and he ran up the steps to the apartment.

He opened the front door and saw Sam and Gabe sitting on the couch together. Dean wasn't focused on the fact they were cuddling or even really registered Gabe being there. He just choked out, "Sammy," and it was over. Sam ran over to him almost instantaneously and hugged him. Dean continued to mutter things but it only came out as a few words and lots of tears.

Gabe slipped out quietly and Sam mouthed an 'I'm sorry' and the shorter man just waved it off with an apologetic smile.

Dean's sobs racked his body as his mind flooded with thoughts. He never knew how to open up to Lisa. He could never fully trust her or open up. Sure, she knew things about him only Sam did. But maybe that's why she cheated. He felt like he wasn't good enough. How he fucks everything up.

How he's poison.

Everyone in the town knew Lisa Braeden and Dean Winchester would have never lasted. But nobody expected it would be Lisa who fucked everything up.

"Dean, what's wrong?" Sammy asked quietly after a few minutes of hugging. He had been rubbing circles into his back and letting him cry.

Dean cried a little harder realizing he had to say something. "Lisa cheated on me. And I walked in on it."

Sam was stunned. He remembered their engagement party and can still vividly see how much love and adoration they had in their eyes for each other. Dean tried to hide it but it's Sammy - he'll always be able to read Dean.

"I know saying this won't help much but I just want you to know it's not your fault," Sam said. He didn't know the reasonings or the facts or anything about the situation but he knew his brother. If Dean had done something wrong, he'd admit it. But Sam had never seen his brother the way he was now. So vulnerable and open.

They spent the next few hours together - Dean crying then stopping. Then crying and stopping again. Sam had grabbed the pie off the counter and given the whole thing to Dean as he ate a banana. They each had on a warm Snuggie and were drinking beer.

Dean looked terrible. His eyes were red and puffy and his hair was going in every different direction. He shoved a forkful of pie into his mouth, resting the left side of his head on the top of the couch. He stared off at the wall as he continued to eat.

Sam's heart was in his stomach. He knew Dean loved her a lot but he never knew him to be much of a crier. "Hey, man. I'm gonna head to the bathroom quick but I'll be right back out." Dean didn't even nod in acknowledgement; he just continued to stare off into nothing.

After Sam had finished and washed his hands, his phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and saw a text from Gabe.

Gabe: I'm sorry about your brother. Is he okay?

Sam half smiled at the gesture, seeing as Gabe cared enough to ask.

Sam: Not really. He walked in on his fiancée cheating on him.

Gabe: Omg that's terrible. Hope everything goes well for him soon.

Sam: Thanks gabe:)

Gabe: :)

Sam left the bathroom, shutting off his phone and putting it back in his pocket. Dean hadn't moved an inch.

Gabe walked back into the studio, slightly sulking. "Heya, Cassie."

"Are you okay?" Cas looked up from his painting to look Gabe in the eye.

"How did you know?" Gabe furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. He sat down across from his brother on the other side of the table.

Cas just shrugged. "You are my brother. Now spill."

"Spill? You need to stop talking to Charlie so much." Cas looked up at Gabe to glare, not finding his joke amusing. "Sam and I were hanging out and his brother came in crying, mumbling something about Luci."

Cas tilted his head to the side and put his paintbrush in the water cup. He washed it out and dried it off before speaking again. "What does Lucifer have to do with anything?"

Gabe shrugged. "I dunno. I'll text Sam."

"Was his brother here for the birthday party?"

"Yeah," Gabe answered. "Sat to the right of him."

Cas thought back to the time he popped in the class and vaguely remembered a broad shouldered brunette with bright eyes. The man was staring at him and caused Cas, at the time, to tilt his head in wonder. "Yes, I remember who you are talking about."

"He seemed like a nice guy to me but very hard-headed. Kinda surprised Lucifer can make a guy like that cry. But then again, he did make you cry that one time." Gabe smirked at his comment and Cas glared.

Cas looked down at his painting and eyed it. He was almost done but his arm hurt.

"Oh, shit, Cassie." Gabe and Cas looked each other in the eye.

"What?" Cas finally said.

"Sam's brother walked in on his fiancée cheating on him with Luci." They both looked at each other expressionless.

Cas spoke next. "He has done worse."

"Cas! How would you feel if you walked in on your fiancée sleeping with another man?" Gabe yelled.

He stopped and thought to himself. "I would assume I would not be happy."

"Well that's because you rejected anybody who wanted to be with you." Cas shrugged, admitting Gabe's statement. "You can't be alone your whole life, Cas. I'm gonna text Charlie and have her set you up with a fine woman." Cas looked at him, eyelids nearly touching in the glare. "Or man," Gabe winked.

Cas eyerolled and stood from his seat. "How did this become all about me? What about you and Sam?"

"Sam's a hot piece of meat, if that's what you're referring to. He'll come to me when he's ready," Gabe responded happily.

"Everyone else is still on break so feel free to go grab a bite to eat." Cas grabbed his painting and put it in his office. When he returned, Gabe was still there. "What do you want?"

"Charlie is gonna throw a costume party next weekend for you to get your flirt on."

"I am not going to 'get my flirt on', Gabriel. And it is the beginning of May. Why is she having a costume party?" Cas tilted his head again, mirroring a confused puppy.

Gabe sighed and groaned. "So you can get out of your shell. Maybe if you have a mask on, people won't use you for your fame."

Cas eyed him. "Gabe, we both know I cannot do that. Someone gets one whiff of my scent and my career is over. I just want to be normal. "

Gabe rolled his eyes. "You can't be a shut-away your whole life. You're going whether you want to or not."

"Fine."

Gabe grinned. "Operation 'Get Cassie A Boo' is underway."
