"Sorry, Sam must have used his entire cologne bottle," Dean said to Cas as they entered the apartment. Sam had the habit of doing that whenever he was going to meet Gabe, claiming it would all dissipate before he met Gabe so he sprayed a lot.
"No, it is okay. Gabe uses a lot, too," Cas said. Dean nodded in understanding. The two slipped their shoes off and left them by the door.
"So, pretty boy, you've never seen Criminal Minds?" Dean asked. Cas shook his head. "Well, then we're gonna watch that."
Dean sat down in the recliner next to the couch and Cas sat on the far side of the couch. He sat up straight and looked quite uncomfortable. Dean stood, groaning because he had to get up again, and walked a few steps toward the kitchen. "You want popcorn?"
"Only if you are already making some. I do not want to burden you," Cas said.
Dean looked at him like he had two heads. "Jack, you need to stop giving a fuck what people think. If you want something, go for it."
Dean turned around to grab the popcorn from a cabinet and then put it in the microwave. He clicked the 'Popcorn' button and turned around, leaning against the counter. His palms rested on top and his fingers curled around the end.
"So, what kind of shows do you like? You can't just do accounting 24/7," Dean said, starting a conversation.
Cas rubbed his hands against his pants and continued staring at the small table in front of him while he responded. "I do not do much else. I am either with my family or sleeping because of exhaustion."
Dean was baffled. "Really? Well, I watch a lot of Netflix when I'm not at bars picking up hot chicks. Either that or working in the shop."
Cas nodded. "Yes, you appear to be very busy today. Did you take off just for this carnival?"
Dean shrugged his shoulders, keeping his hands in their spot. "Yeah, I guess. Benny and Garth got it down when Sam and I are busy."
Cas nodded again. "That sounds like my job, too." He went to continue, his mouth hanging open as the microwave beeped. He closed his mouth and Dean went to get the popcorn. He could've just kept talking. Why'd he stop?
Dean got out two equal sized Tupperware containers from the corner cabinet and emptied the bag into them. He threw out the bag and took the containers to the livingroom. He placed them down on the table and reached under the end table in a basket with comfort items. He threw a Snuggie to his left at Cas and another towards his right on his recliner. He went to the kitchen to grab two beers before sitting again. He gave Cas one of the beers and he smiled in thanks. Dean put his Snuggie on and turned Netflix on. He looked over at Cas and watched as he attempted to put his on. "Do you need help?"
Cas looked up as if he wasn't aware Dean was watching. His face flushed and he put the Snuggie down on his lap. "It appears so. I cannot figure out how this works."
"Buddy, it's a blanket. You just put your arm through the two holes," Dean said. He left his hands in their spot - one holding the remote on the arm rest, the other holding his beer resting on his leg - and lifted his elbows, showing the simplicity.
Cas looked him over before working at the Snuggie again. He managed to put it on half upside down, half inside out. It bunched up in between his arms on his chest. Dean laughed and put the remote and his beer down before standing and making his way towards Cas.
"Stand up," he ordered. Cas was standing within the second. It had surprised the both of them and Cas turned red. Dean chuckled as he slipped the Snuggie off his arms and flipped it the correct way. He slid both sleeves on his arms and made eye contact with him. He looked down into the bright blue eyes staring up at him. His eyes flickered downward as he inspected Cas's lips. They were a light pink and slightly chapped. Dean looked back up into Cas's eyes, his hands still on his shoulders. Cas's face was a bright pink and Dean couldn't help but smirk that it was because of him.
His phone buzzed in his pocket, snapping the two out of their trance. He immediately took his hands away from Cas's shoulders and backed away. The two sat down again and Dean couldn't help but smile as Cas twisted off the bottle cap and took a long swig. Wait, why am I smiling? This is a totally normal response, right? We're both straight.
Dean stopped and turned his attention to the TV. He logged into his profile and put on season one, episode one of Criminal Minds. "The first episode is kinda confusing if it's your first time watching," Dean said, trying to assist his friend.
"Shhhhh," Cas said, holding a finger up to his mouth to silence him. Cas appeared entranced as he ate his popcorn and sipped on his beer. Dean watched as Cas did these things. He looked so comfortable.
Before the two knew it, they were four episodes in, six beers drank by Dean, five by Cas, and had three missed texts from Sam that were going to be left ignored. "Wow, you can hold your liquor," Dean said, genuinely surprised.
"It appears so, Dean," Cas said. He reached his hand out towards Dean in a grabby motion.
"What?" Dean asked. Cas did it again. Dean grabbed the remote and gave it to Cas.
Cas pressed off on the remote and put it down on the table. "I want to play a game," he whined, putting his elbow on his knee and his head in his hand.
"Well, what do you wanna play?" Dean asked. The two were heavily intoxicated to the point they wouldn't remember anything the next day. Or so they thought.
"What was that seven minutes of Heaven game?" Cas asked, looking directly at Dean when he spoke. His bottom lip stuck out as he pouted.
Dean couldn't help but look at Cas's bottom lip the entire time he talked. "Well, it's normally a party game but I guess two people can play." Dean stood to turn the light off and sat directly next to Cas on the couch. He pulled his phone out and went to the clock app. "Seven minutes," is all he said before setting the timer for 7:30, the extra time for it to build up and because he honestly wanted more time.
He clicked start on the timer and set his phone down, turning the screen off. Dean shuffled on the couch to face Cas. "Now what?" Cas said, breathing out his words lightly.
Dean reached up and blindly caressed his face. The stubble felt nice under his skin as he rubbed his thumb along Cas's face. "This," he breathed, leaning forward and connecting their lips.
Their mouths moved like clockwork, steady and natural. Dean slipped his tongue in Cas's mouth and Cas wrapped his arms around Dean's shoulders. He lightly ran his fingers through Dean's hair. Dean pulled his tongue out to bite Cas's lip and pull, causing a light moan to leave his mouth. The two continued to make out heavily. At one point, Dean pulled Cas closer by pulling on his shirt.
By the time the timer had stopped, Dean had to immediately pull himself away. Cas's boxers were now wet with slick. The two had almost sent each other off. Cas had to excuse himself to the bathroom almost immediately to try and keep the heat rapidly approaching at bay. Dean left to his room to stare at himself in the mirror.
"That didn't just happen," he said to himself outloud. He looked down at his pants and groaned. He unbuckled his belt, unbuttoned his pants, unzipped them, and slipped them down his legs. He also slipped his boxers down to see his knot thick around his base. "What the hell?" Dean exclaimed. He looked at his closed door expectantly but then back at his knot as he sat down on the edge of his bed. His knot was super inflamed. Dean touched it gently with his thumb and pointer finger and immediately shuddered. It was extremely sensitive and he couldn't help but stroke up from his base past the tip.
He had to bite his bottom lip to keep from moaning. He threw his head back in pleasure as he used the precum dripping from his tip as lubricant. He couldn't believe himself, jerking off to the blue eyed accountant. He knew it was wrong - he wasn't gay - but he figured jerking off to him was way better than actually doing it. He mentally vowed to himself to act like he didn't remember their little makeout session.
The more he accepted the fact he was hard for Cas, the harder and closer he got. So, when he finally released, he couldn't help but moan "Jack" quietly. When he came down from his high, reality hit him. He heard the front door open moments after him sitting there and he mentally cursed at himself for not answering Sam's texts. He slipped on a pair of pajama pants and a plain black tee considering his shirt was now stained. He looked back at his bed and rolled his covers up in effort to hide the obvious stains since he didn't have enough time to change them. He left his room and was met by Sam and Gabe standing in the now lit livingroom. His phone timer was still going off.
Sam and Gabe looked at Dean with smirks heavy on their faces. "You wanna explain why it smells like sex in here, Dean?" Sam asked.
Dean had no idea what to say so he decided to go with the stupid person idea. "No, it doesn't."
Sam facepalmed and Gabe laughed. "Deano, saying it doesn't smell like sex doesn't mean it doesn't smell like sex."
"That made no sense," Dean said, folding his arms together.
Gabe glared at him. "You have the lights off, a new outfit on, and you just came out of your room. Even if it didn't smell like sex, it looks like it."
Cas came out of the bathroom right at that time. Dean didn't see him, though, when he said, "I wouldn't go for him even if I was gay. I'd rather go for someone way hotter and way more normal."
Only then did Dean see the bathroom door open and Cas outside it. He opened his mouth to say something, anything, but nothing came out. "Oh, hey Gabe. Hey Sam." Cas turned to Dean, face expressionless. "I hope you have a good night, Dean, but I must be going now." Cas walked to the front door, slipped his shoes on, and left.
Everybody was left speechless. Gabe spoke up next, sticking his finger up to point at Dean. "You better apologize," he said angrily.
"For what?" Dean asked. He had to keep acting like he had no idea what happened or else he would have to own up to it.
Gabe turned towards Sam, looking up at him and mumbling something. Sam leaned down to put a kiss on Gabe's cheek and he left. Sam stood there by the door, staring at Dean in his doorway.
"What?"
Sam walked over to Dean and smacked him up the backside of his head. Dean grunted and held the back of his head. He was about to say something but Sam cut him off. "You deserved that."
"How? I didn't do anything wrong!" Dean acted surprised but in reality, he wasn't. He refused to admit his feelings for Cas - not that he loved him or anything, just that he had no other way to explain what he was feeling. Dean wanted to know anything and everything about him. He was honestly trying to scare him away because he it was getting harder and harder to control himself around Cas.
He treated Cas like shit because he was honestly terrified for the reunion. He knew he was wrong to think the way he did - that it's wrong to be gay - but he grew up fucking every girl he thought was attractive. He had never thought once he'd have a minor crush on a man, or that it would cause him to act so awfully.
He should be happy Cas heard him, his plan to scare him away working successfully, but the truth was he wasn't. He went to bed that night staring at their texts, reading them over and over. He didn't get a minute of sleep. Nor did he for the next month and a half that Cas didn't talk to him.
