     "Goodbye Kara Danvers." Barry said. The past couple of days had been so much fun. He smiled at her as he said his final farewell to the girl of steel.
     Kara gave him a hug goodbye, and realized she was going to miss having another superhero friend. It was nice to have an ally for once.
     Barry and Kara braced themselves for the run. "Ready." Barry announced. "Go!" He shouted. Barry and Kara took off in the race. They each ran as fast as they could until Kara used all of her strength to push Barry forward.
      There was a spark in the distance that started to open a portal but immediately closed.
     Barry skidded to a stop and stared in disbelief at where the portal was. "What happened?" Kara asked.
     Barry paused trying to come up with an answer. "We weren't fast enough. Let's try again." He concluded. Kara nodded and they tried again- Failure. They tried again with still no success.
     Barry tried over and over again for hours until he collapsed from exhaustion. "Barry give it a rest!" Kara exclaimed. "Face it! You're not going to get home anytime soon if you don't get some sleep!" She yelled.
     Barry nodded and Kara raced him back to her apartment. As soon as they were inside, he crashed onto the couch, not even bothering to take off his suit. He had no energy left to spare.
     Kara felt sorry for him, all Barry wanted to do was get back home. There was only so much she could do to help and it teared her apart inside. She wished she could do more, but she was the expert on other planets not other dimensions.

     Weeks passed and Barry was still unable to get home. He was determined to get back but the more time passed, the more hopeless he felt. Kara was being a great friend, she helped him try to get home every day. Every day they failed but they always tried again.
     Weeks turned into months with still no luck getting home. Barry wasn't giving up, but he felt himself getting attached to this world. More importantly, he was falling in love.
     Barry could no longer deny the way he felt for her. Kara was always there for him and it was now that he realized just how much he would miss her even if he did get home. He had a choice, keep trying to get home and lose Kara forever. Or stop trying and start a life here with her.
     For Barry the choice was obvious but that didn't make it any easier. He chose to stay with the girl he had fallen in love with. It was hard to just give up on his friends and family but he knew that this was the right decision.
     Barry and Kara loved each other unconditionally for a whole year. They fought crime together, and were an unbeatable team.
     One fateful night, under the light of a full moon and the twinkling stars; Barry took Kara to the beach. Kara was in awe of all the beauty surrounding her. The night was even more perfect when Barry asked her the question every girl wants to hear.
"Will you marry me?"
     Of course Kara said yes. No more than a few months later, the wedding of their dreams took place. The wedding was all so amazing, the night was just perfect. It could've have been more perfect if only Barry could have had his family be there too.
     Ironically, things moved fast for the newly weds. Not more than a year later Kara and Barry were expecting. Kara was unable to keep up with the responsibilities of being Supergirl due to the expectation of the child. The Flash was able to keep things under control in the city for a time.
     Finally the day came and Kara and Barry were blessed with a stunning baby girl. Her name was Skylar. She was a pure joy in the lives of these heroes. It was in this time that Barry saw that he had made the right decision to stay.
