(A/N; it was like he knew i was gonna write this chapter.. how amazing does he look tho :p)

Third Person POV

"What number will be on the back of your shirt?" Heiji asks Seoho from beside him as they walk towards the university gates.

"Number 9."

"And... what does that mean?" She asks, genuinely curious. "I know nothing about soccer."

Seoho laughs, ruffling her hair. "I won't even bother trying to explain anything, as long as you're cheering me on when it seems I'm doing something right then that's good enough."

"Right..." Heiji says slightly confused, "but how will I know if you're doing something right?"

Seoho laughs again, stopping her and placing his two hands at the side of her arms like he always does, looking down at the girl. "Stop stressing, you see me with the ball right? Moving down the field to the oppositions net, or passing to someone near the net - then I'm doing good, okay?"

"Okay, got it," The girl smiles and nods. "And if you score, then that's even better so I'll cheer extra loud then."

"Perfect," Seoho smiles, kissing the girls cheek as he bids her farewell. "I'll see you at 4 o'clock then?"

"See you then!" Heiji tries to be enthusiastic, she does want to cheer him on but she feels anxious. She knows she's supposed to be looking out for how him and Sunwoo react around each other, to get to the bottom of Jiwoo's story.

As she approaches the class, she sees her two friends sitting in the top corner of the room, motioning for her to come over.

"Hey you," Kevin says as he moves his bag he had been using to keep the space for her. "Please tell me one of us has done the reading for today."

"In other words, you haven't." Heiji laughs, eyeing Kevin before pulling out her notebook to show him the work she had done as a look of relief flashed upon his face.

"It's not my fault there's more to my life than this place," Kevin throws his hands up dramatically as Jinsoul laughs at him.

"The thing is Kevin, the outcome of this place determines your life!" She smacks the side of his arm playfully, as he takes Heijis notepad and reads over the stuff she had written.

Kevin was lucky he was naturally smart and clued up on most of the stuff they learned about in class. Jinsoul was the opposite, this course was something she had never done before and it took a lot of studying for her to feel comfortable enough in attending. Heiji, on the other hand, was a mixture of both. She knew her stuff, but there was stuff she didn't know and that was what intrigued her so much about the class, it excited her to not know what was coming her way and how much more she could learn.

"You're both lucky that I don't do the readings and activities because I would put the both of you to shame with the capacity of my knowledge." He sasses back as the teacher begins talking.

"Are you guys going to the football game tonight?" Heiji whispers, looking over at the two. Jinsoul's face drops a little before she laughs lightly.

"No way," she shakes her head. "My ex-boyfriend from like six years ago is on the team, I think."

"You think? Haven't you seen him?" Kevin says lightly.

"I've only seen him around here once and he was in a soccer jersey," she shakes again as though she is disgusted at the thought. "So I'm assuming he plays for the team, unless he's just as weird as I thought he was when we were 15 and he likes to walk around in that outfit. I've never seen him since then, thankfully."

"Was he that bad?" Heiji giggles as Jinsoul widens her eyes and nods.

"The worst."

By the end of the day, Heiji had managed to convince the two to join her tonight. Lia was meeting her in the cafeteria after she had finished college, and Heiji was grateful that Lia was coming to support her.

She had told her everything on the phone the other night, about how she bitched with Jiwoo over the story of Seoho punching Sunwoo, and how Seoho denied it. Lia was suspicious, truthfully. Her and Seoho were never the closest out of the group so she didn't know a lot more about the boy than Heiji did, but to her - something didn't seem right.

Also, Lia's crush Kevin would be here so Heiji was excited for them to be able to properly meet, and hopefully him and Jinsoul would fit right in with her best friend.

"There she is!" Heiji smiled, turning away from her conversation with the two to see Lia entering the cafeteria.

"Hey!" She smiles, giving the girl a hug before turning to face the two sitting beside her. Her eyes meet Kevin's and her cheeks turned a light pink shade before nodding to the two beautiful people before her. "It's so lovely to meet you guys, I'm Lia."

Jinsoul reached up to give her a hug whilst introducing herself and as did Kevin. Lia looked over his shoulder at the two girls and scrunched up her face as though she was embarrassed, earning a giggle from the both.

"She's the cutest." Jinsoul said to Heiji, and Heiji smiled and nodded with content, watching Kevin and Lia chatting about how they never got properly introduced at the café.

"You guys ready to head over to the field?" Heiji asks, as everyone nods and picks up their stuff to go.

As Heiji turns to start walking, Kevin and Lia are already ahead, and Jinsoul wriggles her eyebrows and points at the two. "They hit it off."

"You know what, I'm glad they did, Lia always said he was cute," Heiji laughs, walking alongside Jinsoul, before looking over to her. "Are you sure you're okay with coming today? You really don't have to."

"Don't be silly, I wasn't leaving you alone to make a fool of yourself considering you know nothing about the sport," they both laugh. "Besides, he might not even be here. It was years ago, I'm over it all, or at least I should be."

Heiji nods, before giving the girl a side hug and walking with her arm linked with hers. "He really hurt you, huh?"

"Meh," Jinsoul groans a little, "barely hurt me, just more so emotionally manipulative. He was so jealous and paranoid beyond belief. I tried my best to ignore it for a while but it took its toll on me mentally."

Heiji's heart dropped upon hearing this. How could anyone be so cruel to such a lovely human, or to anyone for that matter? "I'm sorry, you don't need to talk about it, I shouldn't have asked. I just didn't want you making yourself uncomfortable to save me from looking like a loner."

Jinsoul squeezes her arm, giving her a warm smile. Jinsoul really adored Heiji and the friendship that had bloomed in the last two months since the start of the semester. She just wished they were closer outside of it, and after today, maybe they could be.

"That's what friends are for," Heiji's heart feels warm at the comment. "Besides, look at me now. I'm better than he could ever be."

By the time they had gotten to the field, most of the seats on the benches were taken, apart from a space big enough to fit the four in roughly the middle row. Heiji sits beside Jinsoul, with Lia at the other side and Kevin beside her.

"Where's your man?" Kevin leans over to ask.

"You'll see him soon," Heiji laughs. "His top should say number 9, I think."

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom quickly," Jinsoul says, holding her stomach as if she is about to burst. "I should've went when we passed by, be right back."

When the game kicked off, Heiji watched carefully as all the players entered the field, including the opposing team. As they stood, bent over and huddled together, Heiji clocked the number 9 on Seoho's jersey.

"There he is," she points so Kevin can see, and Lia assists in helping direct his eyes.

"The one with his ass in the air." Lia adds, as Kevin turns slowly to her.

"I see 11 asses, Lia."

The game starts, and Jinsoul returns shortly afterwards, awkwardly trying to squeeze by the people at the end of their row. "I'm back!"

"Do you actually know much about soccer?" Heiji asks, watching confused at the sight before her. "Like, what the actual fuck is going on?"

"I only know from watching my brother play years ago," her eyes drift over the football pitch. "Just watch everyone else's reactions, you'll get the gist of it soon. Don't worry about the little things like the corners, free kicks or the offside rule."

"The what?"

"Exactly."

As the game continues, Heiji finds her eyes searching the pitch for someone other than the man wearing the number 9 jersey. It doesn't take long to find him though, as he pelts down the field with the ball at his feet, his tan skin and dark hair contrasting with the blue kit he's wearing. Number 13, another one to keep her eye on.

Though as the game progressed, Heiji found it hard to watch two boys at once. She wondered if she should just give up and enjoy the game for what it was instead of worrying about the two or the rules she didn't understand, but that was until number 9 assisted number 13 to score.

The crowd on their side of the pitch erupted in cheers, Heiji almost getting knocked off her feet by the people round about her as her reaction was delayed.

Her eyes watched closely as the two ran to each other and immersed themselves in a hug, as the others round about joined. Sure, in an ideal world the two wouldn't want to be hugging, but they had just put themselves one up in this game with the help of each other.

As Seoho searched for Heiji in the crowd, he realised this worked well for his plan. His arm hung around Sunwoo, and Sunwoo's arm latched on to his side. See, Heiji, we're good

"There, he's looking for you Heiji," Lia adds, shaking the girls shoulder and smiling, pointing at Seoho.

Almost as if in slow motion, as Heiji looked over the pitch, her eyes glued to Sunwoo's first, as he was looking for her as well as Seoho was. Seoho knew that Sunwoo was looking exactly where he was, but Seoho couldn't take his eyes off the girl... who was standing right next to Heiji.

His heart dropped, and so did Jinsoul's.

Jinsoul looked over to see Heiji smiling in the boys' direction, and the lump in her throat began to grow, as she gulped at the sight before her.

With his heart in his throat, Seoho managed to muster a small wave to Heiji, with no smile upon his face. Lia noticed, looking over to see Heiji's reaction, instead she seen the distraught face of the girl she had just met.

"Are you okay?" Lia reaches over Heiji to place her hand on the girls arm, comforting her.

Heiji draws her eyes off Sunwoo, who she had been staring at for longer than she should have. She notices the girls discomfort as she looks at her with glossy eyes, and Heiji's heart begins to sink.

"Heiji, I am so sorry." She quickly says, before grabbing the girls hand.

"What for?" She gulps, as Jinsoul's eyes divert over to the boys who were still staring in the girls' direction, and Heiji looks over to see Seoho's expressionless face.

"We'll talk about it later, okay?" She says, rubbing her thumb over the girls hand nervously. "Please, enjoy the game. I'm gonna head home."

Heiji stays still in confusion, watching as the girl puts on her backpack and waves her, Kevin and Lia goodbye.

"Remember," Jinsoul takes a deep breath, before smiling at the girl. "Cheer when everyone else does!"
