Third Person POV

"I want blue," Heiji stomps her foot as she pouts at Sunwoo.

"I want blue too," he mocks her voice. "But I want dark blue, not baby blue."

"Baby blue is much prettier," she points out, holding the two samples up in front of her face as the boy sighs. "Please?"

"Why not both?" He challenges.

"Because it'll look weird," she rolls her eyes, putting the two samples down on the flooring. "No one told me getting your own house would be this stressful."

Sunwoo laughs, walking over to sit down against the wall beside her. The two looked at the empty room before them, before their eyes met in the mirror wardrobe which took up a whole wall.

"I'll let you have blue, if..." he trails off as Heiji looks up at him with hopeful eyes. "If you let me paint the living room navy."

"I'm not here to make a grubby deal," Heiji huffs, although she considered his proposition. "But fine."

Sunwoo gave the girl a grin, kissing her cheek as she looked at the two colours on the sample.

"Everything will be perfect soon," he reassures the girl, holding her left hand in his as he grinned with a glimpse of her engagement ring. "I promise."

"A paper copy or an email will do, if any of you are struggling with examples for your study, please come to me and we will figure it out together."

She bows to the class who nodded at her, excusing them to go to for their lunch break. The stress of helping these young people pass exams was a lot for Heiji, it was her first year teaching, and considering it wasn't where she wanted to be - she was doing an okay job.

"Here are some copies," Miss Song says professionally as she eyes the kids leaving Heiji's class room, before closing the door after them quickly. "Have you seen the new physics teacher?"

Heiji laughs at the woman, shaking her head, "I can't say I have."

"Oh my," Yuqi pretends to fan herself with the pieces of paper in her hand. "I'm conscious of that ring on your finger, but you have to see this guy."

"I'm sure I'll see him in passing," Heiji giggles as Yuqi stares at her, blinking. "What?"

"You'll see him just now," she grins. "Come on, it's lunch time."

"You're ridiculous," Heiji shakes her head at the girl before quickly grabbing her purse and bag and heading with her.

She was glad to hit it off with someone so outgoing and friendly as soon as she started here. Yuqi was only one year her senior, yet they both started working here at the same time - causing much confusion with the double Miss Song's.

"I'll buy your lunch today since you paid for mine yesterday," the girl smiles at her as she shakes her head laughing. "Why are you laughing?"

"You're too excited about seeing this guy," Heiji laughs. "Is he really that great?"

"I have never quite seen a man like him."

The two sat in the staff room, speaking with other teachers as they ate their food. It was strange for the two, they were two of the youngest people in the room, yet they didn't feel that way.

"Hello," a man says cheerfully as he enters the room. "How are we all today?"

Yuqi nudges Heiji lightly, arguably too noticeably as the presence of the man sits down before them. "Look up."

"You're a bit loud," Heiji nudges her back, whispering as softly as she could whilst the others in the room spoke over them - thankfully. "Let me enjoy my food first."

"This view is better than your food," Yuqi whispers back.

"Sure," Heiji giggles, trying to speak without her mouth full.

Yuqi coughs awkwardly as she finally looks up, meeting the mans dreamy eyes, before he looked at the two in confusion before speaking up.

"Song Heiji?"

Yuqi let out a gasp, nudging the girl as Heiji almost refused to look up, knowing the voice.

"Yes," she swallows her food, meeting the mans gaze. "Hyunjae?"

"Hi," he nods, giving the girl a smile, the exact same smile he had gave her all those years ago. It almost made Heiji shiver. "How are you? It's been forever."

Heiji nods, looking at the corner of her eye to see Yuqi with an amused yet amazed look upon her face. "It sure has."

Truthfully, Heiji hadn't spoken to the boy since the last night the group hung out together at the cafe. As the group split up to do their own thing, she guessed Hyunjae was lost in the midst of that. She had a list of pros and cons about maintaining any sort of relationship with the boy, and the cons outweighed the pros.

"How have you been?" She breaks the awkward silence as the boy continues to smile at her.

"Great," he nods his head. "I've settled in great here, so yeah, things are good."

"I'm sure you have," Yuqi blurts, earning Heiji's knee bumping hers as the girl stifled a laugh. "I mean, you seem great, very popular."

"I'd hope so," the man laughs.

Heiji noticed that the boy had only got more handsome with time, she would give Yuqi that. But this Hyunjae carried around a particular kind of charm that he never once did, and everyone in the room seemed to love it. Just not her.

The day ended quickly, Heiji felt herself rushing to get back to the home her and Sunwoo now shared.

It was like all the drama she tried so hard to avoid was slowly creeping back, now that Hyunjae had made his presence known - she didn't know how easy it would be to avoid him.

And apparently, she couldn't.

"May I come in?" She hears a voice from the classroom door as she is logging off of her computer.

"Sure," Heiji says instinctively, it wasn't like a teacher to deny another teacher access to their classroom. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," the man shrugs, sitting on the chair that was placed next to her, truthfully making the girl a little uncomfortable. "I just wanted to see you."

Heiji rolls her eyes, turning to face him, "and why is that?"

"God, you haven't changed," he says quietly, regretting his words after they escaped his mouth.

"Why are you here?" Heiji asks bluntly, shocked at her own tone.

The man looks at her, taking in her features which were still as youthful and beautiful as ever, before his eyes trailed down to see the light that caught his eyes - coming from a ring on her left hand.

"I see Sunwoo isn't as much of an idiot as I thought he was," he shakes his head, smiling. "Congratulations."

"We got engaged two years ago," she clarifies, Hyunjae feeling somewhat hurt that he never found out. "But thank you. Now are we done here?"

"He's a lucky man," Hyunjae nods, looking at the girl with somewhat desperate eyes. "I'll be on my way."

The man nods as the girl stares blankly at him, however he felt too captivated by her beauty to actually allow himself to leave. So instead, he brought a hand up to her face, caressing it as she backed away.

"Sorry," he shakes his head. "I didn't mean t-"

"Just leave," she says sternly. "And don't touch me ever again, I mean it."

Hyunjae nods, lifting himself off the chair as the woman looked at him with pure dismay upon her face. His heart clenched in his chest.

The one he had apparently never stopped loving looked at him in a way he never thought she would again. She had the same look upon her face as the first time he told her he loved her, and it hurt just as much as it did back then.

But with a heavy heart, the man knew he had to leave her be, forever - that is.

"How was your day?" Heiji's fiancé wraps his arms around the girls waist.

"Meh," she groans, turning her body around to face him with her hands on his chest. "I just wanted to come home and see you."

"Cutie," he bumped her nose with his. "My dad dropped off some things."

"Really?" Heiji smiles as the boy detaches from her, walking over to a box that sat on the couch. "What's this?"

"Some baby photos," he laughs as Heiji gasps excitedly. "I knew you'd be happy."

"Can we frame them?" Heiji says, sitting down on the floor as he opened the lid of the box, looking at her with a smile on his face.

"If you want," he shrugs. "There's some new ones in here."

Heiji smiles, scooting around on the floor to sit shoulder to shoulder with the boy as he fumbled through the photos.

"Look at you!" Heiji gushes, looking at the little baby Sunwoo with his chubby cheeks and large eyes.

The man laughs, putting his arm around the girl as he looked down at her. "I wonder what our children would look like."

His words almost brought tears to the girls eyes, he was so thoughtful and considerate of their future that Heiji wondered if she ever imagined she could be this happy with someone.

"They'd be cute," she nods. "Only if they looked like you, though."

The two sat like this for a while, searching through pictures, imaging the rest of their life's together whilst simultaneously feeling nostalgic. That was until Sunwoo opened another photo album, which he could only assume didn't mean to be there.

"Who's that?" He scrunches up his nose, looking closely at the photo of the two people kissing. "That isn't my mother."

"That's my mother," Heiji blurts as the boy looks at her with wide eyes. "What the fuck is your father doing kissing my mother?"

"What is your mother doing kissing my father?" Sunwoo says with a shocked look on his face, as the two stifled a laugh.

"What is going on?" Heiji begins to laugh loudly as Sunwoo looks at her with a similar expression. "I feel scarred."

"This is weird," he shakes his head quickly. "Why hasn't this photo been shredded?"

"We can shred it," Heiji says, grabbing the photo. "Gosh, look at their clothes and everything."

Sunwoo watches the girl as he laughs, noticing a number on the back of the photo. "This was 30 something years ago."

"So they were, what, 18?" Heiji says as she tries to calculate things in her head.

"I guess," Sunwoo shrugs. "High school lovers?"

"This is wrong," Heiji shakes her head. "What about my father?"

"What about my mother?" Sunwoo asks, confused, although the two were still laughing at how bizarre the whole thing was. "I feel weird now."

Heiji chuckles, putting the photo down as she sat with her back against the wall. "Are we even allowed to get married now?"

"Shut up," Sunwoo laughs at her joke. "It was years ago, they were just kids."

"My dad would've kicked your dads ass," Heiji smiles as Sunwoo shrugs.

"I think he would have too," he says, laughing. "I'd kick anyones ass for you, too."

A silence fell over the two, Heiji debated whether or not she should tell him about today, but as Sunwoo noticed her expression, the one he knew all too well - she would have to tell him.

"So who's ass am I kicking?"

"Hmm?" She gulps, as Sunwoo cocks his eyebrow at her. "I guess, Hyunjae."

"And where did he come from?"

"He works at my school," Heiji says as the boy throws his head back in defeat. "He touched me today and I told him to back off."

"Touched you?" The boy exclaims as Heiji stifles a giggle at her wrong choice of words.

"My face, Sunwoo," she reassures him as she reaches for his hand.

"What did you think I meant?" He asks confused, as the girl chuckles. "Oh, no. The fact he even laid a finger on you anywhere, he deserves a punch for that."

"Please don't," she laughs, pulling the boy to sit with his back against her, his head on her stomach as she played with his hair. "You don't need to worry."

"He does," the boy chuckles as he looks up at the girl. "Heiji?"

"Hmm?" She smiles down at him, placing a kiss on his forehead.

"I can't wait to marry you."
