I smile when I walk with my team into the combat class, and then I sit down next to ATKK with the rest of my team. I smile when I see Alesha, and the two of us talk a little bit, comparing the experiences the two of us had had during the initiation, and then have a pleasant talk. To our surprise, I see Zion talking to Kay with a smile on both of their faces, which makes me happy that they have at least one person they can be civil with. As we wait for class to start, we see Ozpin walking in with Glynda, and one other person.

The other person turned out to be a woman, dressed mostly in white with a cap on her head. Her black hair was tied into a bun, with the exception of a few strand that fell in front of her face. Her blue eyes widened a little bit when she saw Glynda, and Glynda couldn't stop a small smile when she saw whoever this woman was. " This is Joanna Joestar," explains Ozpin. " She will be assisting Ms. Goodwitch with this class. She's a world class fighter, and huntress and one of the most powerful students I've ever seen. Please welcome Ms. Joanna Joestar."

Ozpin walks out of the room, and then Joanna begins talking in a foreign language, which I don't speak myself. Glynda nods at this, and then begins to translate everything for us, explaining what her expectations are for us this year, as well as her rules. All of us nod, and then the faunas like myself smile when she says she doesn't tolerate discrimination of any kind, which makes me feel more comfortable to expand my wings for the entire room to see. Joanna offers a small smile at this, and then reads over some papers.

" For today, we're going to be doing some fights to establish a baseline for what your skills are," says Glynda, translating for Joanna, and then we all nod, while some of us look more excited for this than others. I gulp a little nervously since I'm not a very strong fighter, but I do my best to try and hide it. She then has a screen in the room come up with random selections for who's going to be fighting. " Alright. The first fight is going to be Hercules Spring and Taigam Ojutai."

Hercules nods and then walks down into the ring as I cheer for him, saying for him to represent our team, and then next to Alesha, a man with a shaved head walks down into the ring, dressed as a monk. He bows respectfully when he stands across from Hercules, and then Hercules smiles and then bows back. Hercules then lifts his hammer above his head, while Taigam stands without a weapon. The bell sounds for the fight to start, and then Hercules charges forward for Taigam, and then begins attacking.

To my surprise, Taigam manages to either dodge or deflect all of Hercule's attacks. " I know what you're thinking, and it's not going to work," says Taigam as he blocks another attack. " You're used to your brute force winning every fight, but I fight with knowledge. And while brute force may sometimes open a door, knowledge is a skeleton key." The two of them keep fighting, and then eventually, Taigam manages to launch Hercules out of the ring. He bows respectfully, and then he helps Hercules to his feet who chuckles slightly, and good naturedly. The two of them banter for a little bit as they make their way back to their seats.

" Well, that was a good fight," says Glynda as she takes her notes, before hitting a button to randomize the next fight, and then she nods. " The next fight will be Kydele Vess against Yang Xiao Long." The two of them walk into the arena, with Yang smiling happily, and then Kay just glaring.

" Let's make this a good fight gorgeous," says Yang, which makes Kay roll her eyes a little bit.

" I've seen corpses that look nicer than you," says Kay, and then Yang keeps trying to talk for a little bit, and then the two of them end up in a fight when the bell sounds. Using her chained sickles, Kay wraps Yang up, and the poison on them makes it so Yang can't move, and her aura is gradually broken. The fight is called, and then Yang goes to sit next to Blake, while Kay sits back next to Zion.

" That was fast," observes Joanna, and then she presses a button to pick the next two fighters. " The next fight is  going to be Emma Waters against Alesha Kolaghan." The two of us both look surprised with this, but then walk into the arena nervously as she pulls out her double-bladed sword, and then I pull out my staff and spread my wings.

" I'll try to make this painless," she says kindly, and then I nod. The fight begins, and then I try to use my Semblance to make her feel sleepy. I see her try to resist it, and in the end she does and then manages to make her way to me, and just gently slashes to hurt my aura, and then kick me out of the arena. After that, she picks me up bridal style and we go to walk back to our seats.

" The next fight is going to be Zion Helsing against Cardin Winchester," says Glynda, and then I smile as Zion walks into the arena. I know that Cardin is a bully against faunas, so I can't help but feel happy knowing Zion is going to beat him. I cheer for her, and then the fight starts.

A puff of smoke appears, and then Zion appears behind Cardin. She then kicks him in the back of the knee, and he collapses. Zion then teleports to be next to his head and she kicks him to stagger him. She then appears behind him and stabs him through the stomach. He howls in pain, and then she twists her sword until his aura breaks. Zion scoffs at this, and then walks back to her seat.

Glynda moves Cardin to the infirmary, and then looks at the time. " It looks like we have time to one more fight before I need to dismiss the class. So, the last fight is going to be," she presses the button. " Jason Branwen against Jaune Arc." I see Jason smirk at this, and then walk down to the stage with his sword and shield, while Jaune walks in, trying to unfold his shield.

The fight begins, and then Jason appears in front of Jaune in a burst of petals. He then knees Jaune in the gut hard enough to make him cough up blood, and Jaune staggers. Rather than let up, Jason uses Hercules Semblances to turn his skin to steel, and he bashes Jaune on the side of the head with his shield, drawing blood. As Jaune almost falls, Jason lifts Jaune above his head, and then slams him down into the ground, making him cry out in pain.

" Concede, I concede," Jaune tries to say, but both of Jason's eyes are red, and he lifts his sword up and prepares to bring it down. Before he can, the sword is suddenly stopped, and then we all look over to see Glynda using her Semblance to hold him in place.

" Enough Mr. Branwen. It's clear you won," says Glynda. She waits for him to acknowledge her point, and when he does, she lets go of him, and he prepares to walk back to his seat as Jaune struggles to even get up.

" We're going to have a long conversation about your self control later," says Joanna, which makes Jason scoff.

" What's there to talk about? I won," Jason counters, and then he makes his way back to his seat. His nonchalance seems to make Joanna irritated, and then she sighs and takes a few moments to compose herself.

" Yes, but you also attempted to attack an enemy who had already conceded. That would have you disqualified from any tournament," says Glynda, and then Jason rolls his eyes.

" You don't get to concede in an actual fight," Jason says, which makes Joanna hand him a detention slip, which he takes, looking like he doesn't actually care about it whatsoever, which prompts Glynda to look over at Joanna.

" He's just like his mother," says Glynda, which makes Joanna nod in agreement, and this makes Jason look up for the first time in interest, and then Joanna nods in agreement, and then the two of them talk for a little bit. " Yes, that's true. At least he's not like Tai." I wonder what the history between them is, and then I look over at Jason to see him reading peacefully as he waits for the bell to ring.

The rest of the day goes by quickly. None of the classes had anything as interesting as combat, and some of them like Port's class was just downright boring as he told stories about his life, and then it makes me sigh and wish I was anywhere else. Once all of the classes have ended for the day, I go back to the dorm with my team, and then I get to work on some of the homework I had been given, while Hercules texts someone on his phone and then Zion reads peacefully from her book.

Eventually, Jason comes back from his detention, looking irritated. He sets down his things, and then gets a duffel bag and heads for the door. " Where are you going," I ask him, and then he doesn't answer and is about to open the door. " Jason. I don't want to pull the leader card, but I am your team leader. So just tell me where you're going."

" Pyrrha got mad at me after I beat Jaune in class. She wants to talk with me about it," he says, and then I nod in understanding. I want to ask him what the duffel back is for, but I also want to give him the benefit of the doubt. I nod at him, and then he goes out of the room, and I smile happily as I work.

A few moments later, the door opens and then Alesha smiles at me. " I wanted to apologize if I hurt you in the fight. I was wondering if I could take you to dinner to make it up to you," she asks, and then I feel myself blushing. I want to say she didn't hurt me, but I find myself unable to say or do anything, other than nod my head at this, and then I go to walk with her.

The two of us eat dinner at a casual place, and then get caught up on how the rest of our classes were, which makes the both of us smile, and we enjoy each other's company. This makes me smile, and then she opens her mouth to say something, and then my scroll rings. I ask her for a moment to go and decline the call, but then I see it's from Glynda. " This might be important," I say, and then Alesha nods and I answer the call.

" Could you please come back to Beacon? It seems one of your team members has manged to get himself in trouble again." I nod at this, and then Alesha and I stand up and I hold out a hand and lift her up bridal style, and then fly with her back to Beacon. When I get in front of the school, I notice right away why Glynda called.

In the front of the school, Jason and Pyrrha fight in the courtyard, as the rest of the school watches. I sigh when I see this, and then wonder what the hell the fight is about, and then I watch, and wait for an opening to intervene. " Never a dull moment," says Alesha, which makes me chuckle in agreement.
