  ROCKY'S RINK WAS A SECOND HOME TO EILEEN NELSON. Having grown up in a small town where people cared more about what others thought of them rather than where they were going in life, Eileen Nelson hadn't really mixed into the 'cool crowd' that ruled over Hawkins High and found her own things to enjoy without having to worry of what other people would think of it—such as finding a passion for skating in a rundown ice rink where she didn't have anything to worry about. With a small group of friends who supported her no matter what, she didn't mind being a social outcast or missing out on wild parties, instead spending them with those who actually enjoyed her company.

Perhaps, if Eileen had cared just a little more and sucked up to the cool kids before she was a complete nobody, she wouldn't have found herself as the ex of Steve Harrington—the boy who somehow still crept into her mind when she least expected it. Despite all her quirks and a knack for good intuition, Steve had liked everything about her. But when he was thrust upon the social hierarchy to the tippy top while Eileen was simply left in the dust, she broke it off to avoid holding him back.

They hadn't spoken a word to each other since that gloomy day, but that was alright with Eileen. Against all of the peculiar things that occurred throughout her life, she accepted how mundane her life actually was, and how it most likely wouldn't change anytime soon. And with everything that had happened the year before with her little sister and her oddball friends, she thought remaining quiet and not drawing too much attention to herself was for the best. Then again, her sister seemed to have a knack for winding up in places she shouldn't and that often entailed Eileen having to go and find her before things took a turn a for worst.

The many months left to come were meant to be calm and filled with tough decisions for Eileen as it was finally her last year of high school, but when she found herself out at her uncles shack with the girl everyone thought was most likely dead and her own life flipping upside down yet again, it was safe to assume things weren't going back to normal like their little town was led to believe.

Well, alas, here is my Steve Harrington fic!!!!! 🥰

I originally had one posted a long time ago on my og account, but I lost all inspo for it, so, I've decided to create an entirely new plot in hopes of actually getting it done!

It might be a little cliché in parts, but I'm a sucker for cliches. Sue me 🤷‍♀️. anyways, I'm only planning on going through season 2 and 3, but knowing me, I probably won't be done with this before season 4 comes out, BUT I don't think I can go through 3 seasons (mainly bc I'm afraid my inspo will run dry &I don't know what will happen and I don't wanna mess this fic up by jumping ahead) so, I'm 98% sure this will end at 3 + with a few canon changes here and there ✨
