ATLAS CAMDEN HAD SAT IN BACK, ONLY LATER PUTTING ON HIS SEATBELT. Apparently, Callum, despite claiming to be responsible, he definitely wasn't a responsible driver. He drove past the speed limit.
"So, Cal," Atlas begins. "since when are Elves allowed to break the laws of the road? And you ran through red light." He smiled.
"No, I didn't," Callum ground his teeth together. He then sharply turns a corner, a narrowly missed hitting a car.
"See, that one actually was a red light," Atlas says.
Callum parks the car, pausing. "You can't walk into the store with all those weapons."
Atlas rolled his eyes, leaning back and searching did his jacket, an oversized clothing piece, so, he could pull it over and cover all the weapons he had. Jack turned back, watching as his boyfriend twisted his upper body to grab the jacket, the vest that he had been wearing, had slits in the sides, going from left to right.
Atlas turned, about to tell Callum that he needs to calm down, when Jack surged forward, slotting his lips over Atlas's. Atlas lifted a hand, placing it over Jack's right cheek.
Callum knocked on the window, a look of annoyance and anger on his face as he demanded for the two to get out of the car.
"Come on, because he will drag us out," Atlas smiled at Jack, before he pulled one the door, jumping out before he extended a hand to Jack. Jack clasped his hand into Atlas's, slipping his fingers in between Atlas's at the two entered the toy shop.
Callum had already grabbed multiple times.
"We doing some last-minute Christmas's shopping?" Jack jokes, smiling.
"Gearing up," Callum answered. "Grab a car, something practical."
Jack barely looked at the shelf, shifting while still holding Atlas's hand, and took a car. They followed Callum to the back, to the employees room. He turned to Jack, handing the items to him, shoving them into his hands. "Here." Callum sighs, before pulling out a set of keys, momentarily searching before finding the key and inserting it into the lock. He twisted it, then turning around and taking the items from Jack. He entered the portal.
Jack, shocked by what he had seen, moved forward, not into the portal, but in the doorway. He tilted his head, examining the frame of the door, trying to see if he could see where Callum had gone. But, didn't past his head through to the portal.
Atlas chuckled at his boyfriend's antics, taking Jack's hand before he pulled him into the portal, as he stepped through. Once again, Jack examined the door the exited.
"Come on," Atlas tilts his head, smiling as he pulled Jack's hand along. Jack quickly followed in his step, heading towards the door.
"What the hell just happened?" Jack asked.
"Toy stores," Callum supplied.
Jack gave him a look of disbelief. "Toy stores what?"
"They use them as portals, or, mainly the supply closets, for the North Pole Field Network Transit system." Atlas explained with a smile, seeing the look of confusion on his boyfriend's face, he leaned over and pecked him on the cheek. "You look so adorable when you are confused."
"Come on! I don't have all day!" Callum calls out.
Atlas sighed. "I definitely didn't miss him." Before he pulled Jack's hand along.
"Car," Callum demanded. Jack handed him the item, and when the taller one saw the model, he sighed. "I said practical."
"Like what, a minivan? Who wants a practical Hot Wheels? Also, what difference does it make?" Jack asked back.
"I gave you a directive."
"A directive?"
"Oh my God," Atlas sighed, rubbing at his forehead. "God, why couldn't that witch kill me?"
Jack laughs, still speaking to Callum. "Is that what you think is going on here?"
Callum smiles. "I'm telling you now, you better listen to me because things are about to get real." He handed Jack back all the of her toys.
"You know, had you told him the reason why," Atlas speaks. "He would have listened."
"And why didn't you tell him?" Callum asked and he placed the toy car onto the ground.
"I wanted to see you realize you should have explained it," Atlas shrugged.
Callum huffs, lifting his arm so the Northern Vambrace was pointed at it. Then activating it, it lights up green, before yellow rings of waves come out of it, and hit the car. Leading for the car to grow in size.
Atlas hum at the reveal of the car, now he realized why Callum said it wasn't practical.
"How did-" Jack begins.
"I adjusted it to reality." Callum informed.
"And does that-"
"No, it doesn't work on everything. No, you can't try it. No, you can't drive. No more questions. Now, get it."
"I'll go grab another car," Atlas says
"We don't have time." Callum tells him.
"We aren't going to fit."
"You know, had you told him the reason, he would have listened," Callum shot back, pulling open the driver door and sliding in the seat.
Atlas sighed, pulling open the door. He slid in, at first, trying to move over, and make space for Jack. But, failing, he patted his lap. "I swear if I get caught, and arrested for this-"
"You've killed hundreds," Callum says.
"That's why it would be stupid if I got arrested for anything related to car traffic laws." Atlas argued. "Shouldn't you have a seatbelt on, elf?"
"You know it's E.L.F!"
"How do you two know each other?" Jack asked.
"Before Atlas was banished, he was employed by M.O.R.A. he was known for being top of-" Callum begins.
"I failed at saving one of the very, well known, mythical creatures," he pointedly didn't mention who. "She was killed before I could kill the ones after her."
Callum tensed.
"What? You know that's what you meant." atlas snapped.
"Who?" Jack questioned.
Atlas didn't answer him.
