seokjin clung to his mother's delicate hand and focused on marching forward, back straight and head held high.

it was his first day at a public school and to be honest seokjin was anxious.

anxious about his new classes, anxious about making friends, and anxious about people bullying him.

they had made it safely into the building and gradually slowed down, entering what he felt was a door to some sort of office.

"jinnie sit down and wait for me ok? I'll be back." seokjin nodded as he felt a tug on his sleeve from his mother, letting him know it was safe to sit. his hands immediately felt for the cushioned chair and lowered himself down.

he heard the shuffling of his mother disappear behind him into another room. the only noise left was his beating heart in time with the ticking of a nearby clock.

soon a louder shuffling noise made its way towards him and seokjin turned his head.

"mrs. kim, your son will be taken care of i assure you. we have a group of students that are glad to help him around."

"thank you. my son is very independent. i'm sure he won't require much help. he doesn't want to trouble you, isn't that right honey."

seokjin smiled and nodded. it was true that he didn't want to bother any of the students from their work.

"expected from a diligent student nonetheless. we are glad to have you here kim seokjin."

in response, seokjin extended his hand out for a handshake and the principle took it.

"bye jinnie. i'll pick you up later!"
seokjin waved towards her direction, as he listened to the footsteps of his mother grow distant.

"so now mr. kim, jeon jungkook here will lead you to your first class. "

there was another person in the room? seokjin was startled and widened his eyes.

"if you need any help just ask your helper to notify a teacher. i'll see you soon and good luck!"

the boy bowed in respect and clenched the hem of his sweater. where was this jungkook guy?

"hello kim seokjin." a voice snickered next to him.

seokjin shivered. first classmate he meets and the other hates him.

"well stand up, we don't have all day."

did this kid know he was his hyung? regardless seokjin stood up and silently looked toward the area this jungkook was. seokjin shuffled a little and then halted, glancing around and seeing nothing, but darkness.

"where are you looking at? come on we're going to be late." jungkook muttered.

seokjin was confused. did jungkook know he was blind?

"hey look what's wrong? i swear its easier to herd sheep than you."

this jungkook was clearly frustrated.

seokjin cleared his throat and raised his hand toward the voice, trying to feel for the other.

"i'm blind."
