Darin is, well put it this way: practically the epitome of a silent and brooding bastard. well, he's technically not a bastard but more of a sweetheart deep down inside. he is quiet and extremely observant. not shy at all, just simply silent and brooding, as mentioned above. most think that he's mute because of this but he truly isn't! Darin's just the type of guy who prefers to only speak with a few words. you know what they say after all, silent but deadly. this also leads us to his next characteristic. Darin is also the epitome of a mysterious puzzle to solve. you can never know what he's thinking. at all. this also means that he often portrays a heartless and cold expression. a stone-cold façade to cover up his misbehaviours and insecurities beneath. because when it comes to Darin, there is so much more to him than meets the eye. underneath his brooding nature, is a selfless and funny guy. yup, you heard me. he may seem like the type to be serious all the time but he isn't. he can crack a joke and understand a pun at any time, but he does acts quite serious when it comes to talking about strategies. Darin is often in a grumpy mood as well which makes people call him a grumpy cat behind his back sometimes. he is also very often observant and analytical along with clever and intelligent, his IQ being higher than usual standards. Darin is also practically the definition of a Slytherin man. he is ambitious, cunning and definitely sly. you never know when he's there unless he makes himself clear. Darin's as sneaky as a shadow and as mischievous as a cat. overall, Darin's quite the awesome guy once you get to know him. you either hate him or love him, either way, there's no in-between when it comes to him.

- observant. he is supremely observant and analytical, meaning that he also has a very sharp set of hawk eyes. he has very clear eyesight and might as well be a walking lie detector. this guy can easily read other people's emotions, even if he himself is rather emotionless! it's also as if he could read people's minds sometimes but he can't. it's just a coincidence that he happens to think what they think sometimes.

- wisdom. now he's not as wise as good ol' Albus Dumbledore but Darin is just as clever and smart! he isn't called the strategist of the underworld for no reason, after all.

- ambitious. now you may be wondering, how can Darin's ambition be considered a strength? well it is and do you want to know why? well it's because him being ambitious pressures him to rise and be the best. his ambition is the reason as to why he's so passionate in what he does all the time; and hence why it's considered a strength/a good thing.

weaknesses :

-  stone-cold façade. this is a weakness because being emotionless and putting on a heartless façade where people would think that you're rude and don't care about anything, is just a bad thing in general. he can't have that first impression all the time but...I guess that's just how Darin is.

- antisocial. Darin refuses to speak to any so-called 'humans' or people in general, or just any living being in general. he's just entirely antisocial and distant that way. he much prefers keeping everything to himself and this is obviously considered a weakness.

- silver tongue. it is not properly mentioned above to describe him, however Darin can definitely act moody and sarcastic yet witty all at once all the time. this is normally considered a bad thing because his sharp silver tongue can just annoy most people most of the time.

how will they avoid their soulmate? :

uh...by doing what he always does? by avoiding them as much as possible and not talk to them much? well, it's what he practically does on a daily basis anyways so a good thing would be that if he does this so, then he wouldn't be counted as being suspicious whilst doing it so. yet at the same time, Darin might as well stalk— uh, observe them since he loves mysteries and even he admitted to himself, why not just fall for a mystery themselves? now falling for his mysterious soulmate would definitely be something that he wouldn't mind at all.
