My spellcheck is majorly glitching so please point out any mistakes!

It's been a couple of days since I found out I'm going to college. The excitement isn't as intense anymore, but it's still there.

It's currently the beginning of March, but I don't start until August, so I have plenty of time.

Plenty of time to tell Harry... right?

Speaking of, he's finally coming back. Sure, it's with another girl, but you lose some you win some.

As much as I miss him, I kinda dread his return. It's going to be much harder to hide my secrets from him. The threat isn't even from me, but from others. I doubt my friends will keep their mouths shut. I think hearing this news from someone else is way worse.

"Are you picking him up from the airport?" Audrey munches on her chips, her legs in my lap. I steal one of her chips and she lets me, offering the whole bag.

"Nope." I pop the 'p' and silently eat the chip. Harry's coming with his hotshot girlfriend, meaning he needs to go all out. He said he was either going to rent a driver or maybe a car. I secretly hope it's both.

As selfish as it seems, I don't want him to drive her anywhere. But I want the driver to be there so she can go out without clinging to him.

Yes, it's as dumb as it sounds.

"Hmm," she hums, assessing my face. I try to stay as neutral as possible. When she doesn't find any concerning emotion, she resumes her snacking. "You know, I miss the boys."

"Me too," I sit up, adjusting her legs on top of me. "It's been a while since we talked. Maybe I can convince them to visit."

Audrey scoffs, giving me a look. "Are you kidding me? You can convince those boys to do anything. I don't know why but I can tell they like you a lot."

I roll my eyes, but internally I'm doing a happy dance. Knowing when people actually like me is such an exhilarating feeling. It's like finding out that person you've been wanting to be friends with feels the same way.

"Not really, they're super busy anyway."

She raises her brow, challenging me. "Okay then. Call them right now and ask them to come."

"Audrey," I groan. "I'm not going to call them."

"Because you know they'll come?"

There's really no winning with this girl. I guess that's partly why I love her.

"No," I deny. Before I know it, she grabs my phone from the table.

"Here," she throws it back to me after typing on it. I look through my phone to see what she did.

Yup. She texted in the group chat I have with the boys, minus Harry.

Yes, that exists.

I read the message and groan.

Me: Guys I'm so so so so bored.

Me: You guys should come over.

Me: It'll be such a fun time.

Me: Besides, you can help me deal with bitchzilla when she arrives with him.

I laugh at the last text. It's definitely something I'd text. Instead of adding another message telling them to disregard everything, I let it go.

I'm kinda curious to see if they'd actually come.

What can I say, I'm a major attention whore.

"I can't believe you did that!" I laugh, hitting her legs as hard as possible.

"Ouch," she winces, kicking me in the stomach. I grunt and push her legs completely off. "Bitch," she mumbles, pulling her legs close to her.

"Yeah yeah," I huff.

We made it a point to hang out at least one night a week. When you live with a person, you don't see them as much as you'd think. We didn't like that, so we decided that we'd watch a movie or show every Sunday night.

Tonight we're watching the sequel of To All the Boys I've Loved Before

I didn't realize that Audrey was so passionate about the movie. Every time one of the characters does something stupid, she chucks something near the TV. I fear she's going to hit the TV and it'll come crashing down from its wall mount.

"Laura-Jean you're so stupid," she yells with a mouth-full of food.

I'm more interested in her commentary rather than the movie. Don't get me wrong, it isn't bad, but just not as exciting as the first.

"I like her sister though," I comment.

She scoffs. "Of course you do, she literally acts just like you. Meddling all the damn time."

"Wow," I laugh. She's right though. I didn't realize how much I actually meddle.

Welp, it helped, didn't it?

"You should be glad I did," I tease, pulling her legs back into my lap. She gets comfortable on the couch and contently sighs.

Her focus goes back to the movie and all her happiness is gone. "Peter Kavinsky! You did not just do that."

The movie finally ends. I love the ending, it's so cute. It really shows that little things matter so much.

I'm laying down on the couch when Audrey frantically squeals. I open my eyes and glance around. I must have fallen asleep on the couch because it's bright and early the next day.

"El, El, El! Look at this!" She shoves her phone in my face and I focus on the bright screen.

'Harry Styles spotted with a new girl?' is the title of the article.

"Okay and? Nothing new," I point out.

She looks back at the screen and furrows her brows. After some scrolling, she finds what she's looking for and shows it to me.

"Along with a new beau, Styles was also seen leaving his jet with the former members of his infamous band One Direction." I read out loud.

Oh shit.

They came!

I completely forgot about the texts that Audrey sent.

"See! They're all wrapped around your finger," she says smugly, taking her phone back. "This is going to be so fun. I hope there's drama."

"There won't be," I snap. I was woken up by squealing after a night on the couch, and then I see my boyfriend is back in town without telling me. I have a right to be irritated.

"He didn't tell you he was back?" Her face softens and sympathy is laced in her tone.

I dramatically get off the couch. "I'm going back to bed."

"Alright, I'll probably make some coffee or something."

"Just don't burn the place down," I reply, closing my door and slipping into bed.

But sleep doesn't come again. I toss and turn for minutes, giving up on sleep. Alone with my thoughts, my mind begins to wander.

How is this going to work? Does the girl know it's a publicity stunt? Do the guys know? Will we get alone time or is stuff going to be weird between us?

I can't help but feel a little sad. I don't want things to be weird between us. Maybe it was a mistake telling him to come here with her.

Time slowly drags on. I can hear Audrey mess around in the kitchen but she eventually returns to her room.

I decide to get up. I can't sleep, so there's no use of lying in bed.

After putting on leggings and a sports bra, I tie up my brown hair and let the hair fall barely below my shoulders. I slip into my Nikes and put on a sweatshirt. Once the deodorant is on, I slip out of the door, headphones in and music blasting.

I missed jogging. It feels like I haven't done it in forever. In fact, it feels like I've changed as a person. I no longer wake up early enough to experience the sunrise nor do I go out like before.

In a way, it's good to change. But I shouldn't abandon my happy habits. Besides, this is like the only form of exercise I ever get.

My jog falls with the beat of The Neighborhood song playing. The song ends and I find myself in front of my favorite coffee shop.

When I walk in, I get a little disappointed when Noah doesn't greet me. Another barista is there and I recognize her from one of the first times I visited. She's the one who made the amazing iced coffee for me.

She smiles and takes my order. I take a seat at the counter and sip from my water bottle, thankful I wore a sweatshirt over my sports bra. The shop is much cooler than the outside.

"Ellie Marsh you piece of shit!" I voice calls from behind me. I turn to see Noah himself, fuming. It's weird to see anger on him. "What the actual fuck!"

People glance at us, making sure everything's okay.

"Noah, could you be any louder?"

He doesn't appreciate my comment. "Excuse me? You haven't come here in days. Days! I've been worried sick about you!"

Guilt takes over. "Oh gosh," I say much quieter compared to him. Ever since the whole Drew fiasco, I haven't come here once. "Wait, did you miss me?" I grin.

His glare falters. "Of course I did! I thought you were literally dead!"

"Sorry," I sheepishly bite my lip. "How about this. I'll give you my number so you can text whenever you miss me, okay?"

"I didn't miss you," he huffs, moving behind the counter. "I was just a concerned business owner, okay? You're my best customer."

I sarcastically nod, not believing him. He groans at my stubbornness and starts making drinks. I didn't realize how much I'd miss teasing him.

"Hey Tiana, I'll make the iced coffee," he tells his coworker, grabbing the drink.

I pout, realizing I won't get my heaven-in-a-cup today. I haven't told him that his coffee is mediocre at best. It'll break his heart and making my coffee makes him genuinely happy, so I'll sacrifice my delicacy for him.

His co-worker, Tiana, must have caught on to my thoughts because she shoots me an apologetic look. I simply shrug in response. I'm not going to break his heart today.

"Where have you been?" He sets the cup in front of me and I stir it, making sure the vanilla isn't clumped at the bottom.

"It's been kinda rough," I admit, not wanting to get into the details. "Oh, I got into my dream school!"

"UF? No way!" He gives me such a genuine smile, which reignites my excitement for college.

"Yeah," I can't help but smile back. That's the type of person Noah is. To be honest, we barely know each other out of the walls of this cafe. Yet, he still shares in my happiness. I don't think I've met anyone more genuine. Even if he is an asshole sometimes.

"Congrats. I've seen you work so hard on those apps. You really deserve it."

I often worked on them here. Noah would sit next to me and help.

"Couldn't have done it without you."

He playfully gasps. "Ellie being nice to me? What has the world come to?"

"Haha," I sarcastically laugh. "It won't happen again."

"Good, I wouldn't have it any other way." He winks before attending to another customer. I absentmindedly sip my coffee.

I pat around and pull my phone out. It's flooding with messages, especially the ones I've ignored from last night.

A majority are from the '1D - Harry + Ellie' group chat.

Yes, that's what its called.

They're just random memes and gifs, nothing indicating they've actually come to visit me. In fact, everyone ignored the messages Audrey had sent.

I have some messages from Harry, but they're short and curt. I push back the hurt and ignore the messages.

"Why the long face?" Noah asks, leaning against the counter. "Missed me?"

"You wish. But, no. I don't know. I'm just irritable I guess."

"Ah, yeah. Having your boyfriend come to the state with his girlfriend must be devastating." I look up at his face to see any hints of sarcasm, but he's genuine. "I saw it on Twitter."

"It's really really complicated."

"I bet. I won't pry but if you need someone to talk to, I'm always here. I'll be on team Ellie just this once."  Just like that, the playfulness is back.

"I'm being nice one more time. You're amazing and I'm glad you're my friend. I appreciate you."

He smirks, taking advantage of my niceness. "This would be a great time for your number."

I roll my eyes and hand him my phone, letting him put his contact info in. He hands it back and I look at the screen. His contact name is Noah the beautiful barista. "Really classy," I laugh. He even sent a message from my phone so he has my number.

Me: Hello sexy, so glad to finally have your number.

"You're disgusting," I snort. "I wouldn't call anyone sexy."

"Not even your boyfriend?"

"Oh God, his ego would explode."

We both laugh, knowing this is too true.

"I should head out, need to finish this jog before it gets too hot."

He nods. "Alrighty then. If you're going to be absent in the future, I need a two-week notice next time."

"You got it, boss," I mock-salute him. "I'll see ya soon."

When the sun's rays hit me, I'm instantly back in the mood. I continue my previous route, making sure I push myself as hard as possible.

Coming back to the apartment, I stretch outside before opening the door.

"Honey, I'm home," I yell. No response.

Huh, she must have left some time between my jog and now.

I hit the showers and my muscles relax at the warm water. I sigh in relief, scrubbing all the sweat and dirt off me. After drying myself off, I change into a t-shirt and shorts. It's a lazy day today.

Well, it's a lazy day starting now.

I toss the damp towel into the hamper and resist the temptation to crawl into bed. I'm always down for a nap, even if I just woke up a couple of hours ago. Instead, I take a seat at my desk and reread my admission packet. I've read it so many times that I can rewrite it word for word.

My heart is just so happy.

After scanning the words one last time, I neatly place it back in the envelope and into a drawer, along with my safety school letters.

I wait for Audrey to come back to the living room. I lie on the couch, watching whatever's on.

I don't support putting children is pageants, but damn Toddlers and Tiaras is addicting. I fly through three episodes before the front door opens.

In comes Audrey with handfuls of shopping bags. Drew trails behind her, carrying more bags.

"You went shopping? Without me?" I gasp.

She drops all the bags on the floor and pulls her sunglasses up, revealing her bright blue eyes. "Yeah, because you love shopping so much."

"I was bored. A simple text would have been nice."

"Wow," she laughs. "You were sleeping one second and gone the next. I just figured you had plans."

"Still," I pout back. "An invite would have been appreciated."

"Don't worry." She begins going through the bags on the floor, then moving to the ones that Drew's still holding on to. "I got you something."

I gulp nervously. I love Audrey, but her taste is too expensive and slutty for me. She doesn't wear revealing clothes too often, but she loves the idea of me wearing them for whatever reason.

One time, she tried to convince me a lingerie set was a dress.

"Ah, here!" She holds up a deep red dress. It's short, but it wouldn't show anything. It looks tight, like a bodycon dress.

"Okay," I grab it, inspecting the details. "I don't know where or when I would wear this, but it's cute. Good job A."

She grins, obviously proud of herself. I run to my room and hang the dress in the back of the closet.

"Thanks, babe," I tell her when I get back. The bags have moved from the living room to presumably hers. Drew's sitting on the couch, looking exhausted. I sit next to him, smiling in amusement. "You good?"

"Gosh, that was awful. Next time, you go with her." He leans farther back into the couch, huffing.

Audrey comes in and hands him a water bottle, taking a seat on the other side of him.

"So, you two have fun?" I suggestively wiggle my brows. It's so fun to tease them now that we're all good. It's even better that I'm the cause for them to be together.

Drew's annoyed face contrasts with Audrey's beaming smile.

"We did! We went around the mall twice. It was actually insane." She grins, patting him on his leg. "You know, I'm kinda surprised you're here."

"Why?"

"Well, your friends are in town. You're not going to visit?"

Drew gives us a confused look. "Huh?"

We both ignore him. "Well, I'm not gonna go to them. That defeats the whole purpose. I don't even know if they came for me."

She smirks, leaning over her boyfriend. "Ahh, so you wanna see if they actually came for you? That's very attention-whorish."

I laugh, knowing it's true. "Hey, what if they didn't come for me? That'll be awkward."

"Yeah, yeah. Either way, they'd be glad to see you."

"Who will?" Drew interrupts.

"Oh, just some of Ellie's old friends. Don't worry about it, babe." She lightly squeezes his knee and I can tell it affects him.

A lot.

I try to ignore the one-sided sexual tension in the room. "I went on a jog today!"

Audrey perks up, removing her hand from his leg. He visibly relaxes and I pretend not to notice. "Really? That's so great! You used to jog a lot. Actually, you used to wake up super early too. What happened?"

"I was literally thinking the same thing!" I exclaim. "I feel like I'm so different now. I think I'm gonna try to go back into my old routine. It was refreshing."

"Ahh, the good old days," Drew sighs.

Audrey lightly punches him. "Yeah, the days without me."

He and I both chuckle. Seeing her jealous side is so weird. It's refreshing in a way. that she can openly be jealous without hiding it.

"I'm gonna head to my room," I finally cave. I should let them have some alone time. I can tell poor Drew is dying without physical contact, but she's as oblivious as ever.

Drew looks relieved, but she pouts. "No, stay! We can watch a movie or something!" Drew's eyes go wide at her suggestion and he sends me a helpless look.

"Nah, I think I'm gonna stalk Harry and see what he's up to," I joke. This wasn't the right thing to say. Audrey gives me a sad smile but lets me go.

Great, now she's worried about me.

"Hey, El?" She yells when I'm almost to my room. "Check your phone."

So she knows I've been ignoring my messages. I get into my room and don't bother glancing at my phone.

Instead, I sit on my bed with my laptop. I do exactly as I say I would. I open Twitter to see Harry trending once again.

I brace myself for what I'm about to see. Once I'm mentally prepared, I click on his name to see the top tweets.

Majority of them are Harry and some random girl at the airport and getting into a car.

A limo.

I can't help but laugh at the site. Harry is not the limo type. I know he'd rather have a driver and car rather than a limo. Most of all, I know he'd prefer to just drive himself.

I look at the girl in the photos. I actually recognize her from somewhere. She's a popular reality show actress, but also a model I think. She may be conventionally pretty, but all I see is plastic. She's obviously had a boob job and her face is filled with filler. Even her skin tone is unnecessarily tan.

I groan. Of course, he couldn't have chosen someone more humble? This bitch is one of the most arrogant chicks out there.

She seems photo-ready in all the pictures. I have to admit, even in her airport fits, she looks stunning.

She may be fake, but she's gorgeous.

The familiar pang of jealousy hits and I groan, shutting my laptop and tossing it on the other side of my bed.

I shouldn't have looked. I knew what I was getting into, yet I did it anyway.

Stupid stupid stupid.

I make my way to the kitchen, avoiding the couple on the couch. If they're making out, I don't wanna see it.

"What're you doing?" Audrey's voice calls from afar. I hear her footsteps and she stops in the doorway.

I sift through the cabinet, looking for the good stuff.

"If you're looking for the alcohol, we don't have any."

My jaw drops. I whip around to look at her, hoping she's joking.

She simply shrugs. "We didn't have a lot left. Someone drank it all," she shoots me a dirty look. "And I got rid of whatever's left."

"Why?" I whine.

"Uh... because you're becoming an alcoholic? Drinking socially is fine but you're not allowed to if you're going to avoid your problems. Like I'm assuming you're doing now?"

I mentally punch her for her intuition and responsibility.

"Thought so," she says smugly. "Come sit with us."

"I don't wanna see you guys make out," I childishly groan, following her anyway. I sit on the floor, my back against the couch.

"We weren't," Drew stammers.

I can't help but laugh. He acts so embarrassed when he does something with her, but he was the complete opposite with me. He was so bold.

In fact, I act the same way with Harry. Something about having that intimacy with your soulmate makes you shy.

Gross, I know.

"Let's just watch the movie," I sigh.

For the next two hours, it's a Harry free zone.

A/N: Guys! There's like 13 more chapter! I'm so emotional LOL. It's been a long, long journey and I want to thank the people who have been voting and commenting. I promise I see you <3

Oh, also, I see Harry's fake girlfriend as Kylie Jenner if you wanted a picture. You can imagine her however you want though.
