Hello lovelies.

I just kind of want to address something that has bothered me about my own writing.

I know that representation for the LGBT community is not very good, as in there always seems to be a "token" marginalized person, and then they are either a villain or they are killed off. I realized that some may view Scarlet and Iris this way, and that bothers me, because I don't want to contribute to that stereotype. For me, I found both deaths necessary in developing Ebony, but I just want anyone to know who may be reading this who is LGBT, that Scarlet in particular has been one of my favorite creations, and that I hope you can see that she was a complex character who was very brave and very devoted to fighting for the ones she loves.
