Before we boarded the vehicle, the woman who was the owner of the car suggested that we put Kyle in the backseat which we did however it was no easy task as moving him and placing him down while ensuring his safety can be tricky but we got the job done, after which I got in beside him and placed his head in my lap. The woman then got in the driver's seat that looked like the pilot dashboards but mini sized, she then started the vehicle and began driving. We were driving in silence when I heard someone clearing their throat. " So are you going to tell me who you are and why your here?". I looked up to see a pair of fierce eyes glancing at me through the rear view mirror. " I'm Francis and he's Kyle, we are from the other world Ogore Thelea. As I said I think something was calling me here and I'm determined to find out what it was." The eyes of the woman shifted from the mirror to look outside then back to the mirror. She had a complicated look on her face.

"You're really from another world? I thought you were just messing with me. I've heard a bit about another world but it's not really talked about here. However, what little I have heard about your kind is that they're the people with the broken gene and that you guys look deformed, but you don't look so deformed to me. You actually look normal, well as normal as your kind can be."

"My kind? Excuse me, we are humans and what are you? also what broken gene are you talking about?" .

" You really don't know anything do you?", She said.

" I've literally been saying that since I got here". I said feeling frustrated.

She glanced at me for a second and looked back on the road. "My name is Lyra Zaria Raeraunthra Tinueil. We are on planet Astralda and I am the princess of the kingdom Alycone. We were at Adadedulus, the forgotten kingdom. My parents will have more answers but all I can tell you is that nothing is a coincidence here."

"A princess? wow!, so what is a princess doing all the way out here in the middle of nowhere?". I laughed. "What do you have out here, a secret lover?".

She didn't look amused. Instead she had a very angry look in her eyes as if I kept talking she would kill me. I had to calm her down.

"I didn't tell you before but thank you, I mean it, I don't know what would have happened to us if someone else found us. '' I said, trying to switch the topic. She nodded her head and said '' Hmmm" in acknowledgement. Just then I heard loud shots. " What was that?!", I shouted. " The Bella Trixians, they're assholes and they, well they are not a fan of us. We have to take a different route. ", she said as she suddenly took a sharp turn. They kept shooting at us and Lyra kept going faster. "Hey, wanna see something cool?" ,she asked. " Yeah sure why not", I said, a little worried as we were in a shootout. The first and only one, I hoped. As soon as I said it we sped off 2xs faster than our original speed. Apparently she pressed the super fast button, I laughed at the name.

" Want to go up? "She asked with a devious smirk.

"what?, up where?", I said, confused. I bet my face showed my confusion too.

"Just hold on", she said with a wink.

I didn't think it was possible but I felt the car start to lift off the ground. I looked behind us and noticed others behind us too. " We have company ", I said, a little frightened. I mean too much is happening to me in one day. " I can lose them", she replied, confidently. I suddenly felt a turn of movement, upside down to avoid getting hit from a bullet. "Ahh!" I screamed. We were in the air twisting and turning trying to get away from these determined creatures. It was like we were in those movies Kyle and I always watched. I cannot believe that Kyle is missing out on this right now. I wonder how he's doing. We kept flying until I didn't see the car again and suddenly we landed in a field nearby and started driving again, which was odd as I was wondering why drive if you can fly but Lyra said that we have to drive so they can identify us at the gate. I wonder what she's talking about.

"That was awesome, who taught you to drive?", I asked.

"My Personal bodyguard from when I was young taught me, I would always try to sneak in his car when he was going out. Then one day he eventually caught me so I convinced him to teach me the basics of driving as it was something that looked fun and interesting but it wasn't until I was old enough to get the full lesson at 15 Summers. However when I was 12 Summers I got tired of waiting and stole one of the guard's cars and tried driving. I made it to a distance very well and safely but then I crashed. I got in a lot of trouble obviously but I knew he was proud of me.". She answered with a smile on her face, as she reminisced of her memories.

"You definitely seemed like you were a problem child", I said while laughing.

"Maybe", she answered while smiling. But her smile faded as she seemed to be lost in thought. I wondered why

I looked down at Kyle for a split second only to find him frowning. He's alive, that good. So I checked his pulse, it was steady and strong. Just like Kyle, one thing about him is that he is a fighter. He's the one that holds me up when I fall. As I thought about Kyle, Claire came to mind. I wonder how Claire is doing. Claire may seem like a stuck up brat but she's really chill and the girl loves Kyle a lot. They just have a lot of shit going on. Their constant fighting is causing complications in their relationship. Claire is great, sometimes, but I'm tired of seeing Kyle going through so much. I wish he'd just get his happily ever after already, he deserves it.

" I can tell you really care about him, what is he to you?. She said as she glanced at me and went back to looking on the road.

" My Best Friend", I answered. " Do you have friends?".

"We're here", she answered coldly.

As she stopped the car. What's her story? I thought as I looked at her trying to figure her out. She seems to have a lot of walls up but then again it could be because I'm a complete stranger but still, damn. We slowly drove up to the gate and the guard wearing a green and black strange suit came up to search the car. The guard looked all around the car then looked at us in the back and asked Lyra about us. She told them we were with her and they made us go along.

Sooner or later we came to a stop near the entrance of a huge Palace that had many huge silver walls with gold and emerald designs that ran along them. In many places on the wall were huge images that looked as if it told a story. It was beautiful and very interesting as it dimmed as people came close to it and brightened the further away you were. The Image had writing I couldn't understand and I wanted to know more, it was as if there was something important for me to know. Lyra glanced at me and said " Get out", as she burst open her doors and stepped out. I quickly stepped out after her and stood awkwardly as I gawked at the things around me. It was simply beautiful, if that was the word to describe it. The people were dressed in vibrant colors, they were people of every skin tone and everyone was filled with markings. The same tattoo like the ones I saw before. I felt a presence behind me only to look down and see a baby dragon, it was bigger than the average human and stood at a remarkable height however it did not look very mature for me to call it an adult. The dragon was sniffing me. I quickly moved back like 5 inches.

"Sorry about that, Kuller's is a bit curious", A girl dressed in a long nun outfit said to me. She had blond hair and looked as if she was an elf and standing beside her was a man, he looked as if he swung swords for fun. He had short black hair with blue highlights. " Lina, don't go scaring the man, restrain Kuller". As I looked behind them I saw Lyra walking with Kyle laying in her hands. What? Why make me struggle to lift him if you could do it all along, I thought. She quickly walked over to Kuller and dropped him on it. " Carry him". She then turned to the people and said " lead them to the West Wing, I will get them when I am finished", she then walked away without telling me anything. Ok what is her problem?

The man then turned to me and said " come with me". They started walking off with Kyle so I ran to catch up with them. What's up with everyone's attitude around here? When I caught up with them they started talking.

" My name is Alexander, I am Lyra's bodyguard and She is Lina, Lyra's attendant". The man said.

" Hello I'm Francis, A random stranger Lyra helped". The man smiled when he heard my answer and nodded.

"Lyra said we should bring you to the West Wing. There you're gonna have to wait but don't worry. She was kind enough to not leave you on your own".

"What's the West Wing?". I asked as I kept hearing mention of it.

" It is the visitors wing, where strangers like yourself go until requested for, after you go through a review however if you are seen as a threat. It's where a lot of people go missing but don't worry it's not as bad as it sounds". The woman Lina replied. As we suddenly pull up to two large double doors with lines going up and down. It seemed as if I had a confused look on my face as the woman said " Those are detectors, they check if you have any weapons on you". After she finished saying that the doors opened and behold, paradise.

Just kidding. The outside definitely looked better than here, Not that it doesn't look better than my world because compared to here my world is trash, literally. But the West Wing seems like it's for the lower class. It had a lot of rooms with people walking all around minding their own business, they looked like a big family to be honest. Some looked like they knew what they were doing and some well looked like me, utterly confused. Lina looked at me and motioned me to follow her as she led me to a room. Which she said was mine. I went in and it was a big room, bigger than mine back home but it was a bit bland. Just a bed and a bedside table with a mirror. "The kitchen is down the hall and there is a bathroom connected to the room. Freshen up, we will be back for you in a few hours. Where you will speak to the king and the queen, if you're lucky".

About 30 minutes after she left my stomach started signaling me to eat. So, I went in the direction she told me and ended up in the kitchen and upon the sight my mouth started watering in amazement. A long table filled with different kinds of foods, some of which I don't even recognize but they all looked delicious. I couldn't restrain myself as I have not eaten for a while now so I dug in immediately. I greeted the people I saw there then started filling my plate, I was halfway through my meal when I suddenly remembered something important. Kyle, where is he?. I can't believe I sat here eating this appetizing meal, while Kyle is who knows where. I feel like a bad friend. So I got up from eating and went into the hall to find Lina about Kyle's whereabouts. I found her and asked about him, however she told me to have a shower and get dressed and I will find out soon enough. I was a bit annoyed and worried about Kyle and I wondered how she knew I didn't take a bath yet but then I realized I have been dressed in the same outfit for a while now and I probably smell so I went back to the room and got a shower. The water was warm and relaxing. It felt good, but I was worried about Kyle so I got out quickly.

Two hours later, Lina knocked on my door. "The Princess Lyra had informed the queen about you so the queen has requested to see you now", I was a bit nervous as this was the first time in my life I'm going to meet royalty and I did not know how to behave but despite that I followed her to the North Wing where the royal family resided. We went to a large hall called the throne room which was filled with gold, emerald and rubies everywhere on the walls. This was where the king and queen sat in their thrones and to the left in another throne sat Lyra looking at me with suspicion. I wonder why everyone here is so unwilling to trust here. " What is your name, boy and who are you?", I heard the king say in a strong and powerful tone. The king had his hand filled with rings resting on his cheek as he steered at me with interest.

" My name is Francis Caspian Black". Hmmm, I heard the king say. Then he processed to ask.

" From where do you hail, Francis and what brought you here?".

"I'm from another world, Ogore Thelea. I was brought here through a portal I saw in a forest. I heard a voice calling me telling me it's the start of a new beginning and coincidentally I saw a strange woman so I followed her and she lead me through the portal to some mushroom looking land and then my friend Kyle touched the poisonous mushroom, got powers and somehow could apparently speak to the plants and the plants told us that the place was called Mushroom land and it is just a bridge that connects worlds and that our next stop is Adaedalus, which we went to and there the mushrooms told Kyle about the war. Pretty crazy stuff, but anyway we saw Princess Lyra here so we tried to follow her and caught up to her only for Kyle to faint and so I begged Princess Lyra to help us and she did but on our way some guys started shooting at us and then we started flying in the sky and then we came here so yeah, I've had some pretty crazy days ", I said while trying to catch my breath because of how fast I spoke just now. "So that's why I'm here sir um I mean your Majesty or is sir okay. Do I have to call you something specific or.....?. I'm sorry I'm rambling, I'm kind of nervous, I can't believe that I am actually in another world right now. I was literally sitting on my couch watching the latest episode of Grey's anatomy yesterday.". My eyes widened when I realized that I said all that before a king and queen. I decided the best thing to do was for me to stop talking. Princess Lyra quietly laughed when the queen gave her 'that look'. The King took a deep breath then proceeded to talk about some past important history.

"Over a million years ago two worlds were created. One with humans whose genes were broken and the other with the perfect mutation. The latter of both kinds was stronger, faster, smarter, more beautiful and had a longer life span. However, the world with the broken gene was the opposite. We have always tried to live separately because we just don't mix. We were too different. So that's when our queen split the world as we were never meant to be one. I don't know why you are here, but it is possible that something caused a shift in the powers and you just happened to get caught in it. There will be no new beginning of anything between our worlds. I'm sorry you came all this way but on the bright side you get to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity that none of your kind will ever get to experience. Ever again. Enjoy your time here and our guards will escort you back to the border tomorrow". He explained.

I took a second to process what he just said, took a deep breath and said, "What about Kyle?".

" Ahh yes, your friend, Kyle, the mushroom trial lasts 24 hours and the chances of getting out of there alive is 5%, If he doesn't wake by tomorrow then he dies. You can stay until then".

" What if he wakes up?", I asked.

" Then we will welcome him as a part of the community because then he can't return to his normal life.".

"Listen ,Francis, everything will work out how it is meant to be, you can go to your friend now."

" Oh one moment before you leave, how rude of me, I am King Maximus, my wife is Queen Clara and you know Princess Lyra. Welcome to kingdom Alycone and Goodbye." The king said. I nodded and looked at Lyra but she looked away. So begging led by the guards back to my room, I left.

I was led to the place where they kept Kyle and I saw a room that I was told was his so I went into the room and saw Kyle lying in the bed. I drew a seat and sat beside his bed for a while then I began telling him what happened. I begged him to wake up. I can't go home without him. Even if everything I heard was all a lie and that I wasn't some chosen one, I needed Kyle to wake up. As I sat by his bed feeling melancholy, I saw his finger move.
