The journey to the Adaedalus is one full of awe as we come across many new creatures such as the hybrid mix between a cat, rat and a bat. The hybrid had the ears of a bat which enables it to hear sounds from a far ,the body of a cat which helps with fast movements and the tail and claws of a rat which I guess are for digging as they live in those habitats. The plants that Kyle speaks to call them "Aguser'' they are known as the little guardians of the plants as they are the ones that defends them against thieves that want to pick them for the purpose of selling them for money to make poisons and antidotes to the healers house.

" Look at that! "Kyle jumps up quickly as we near a rushing waterfall, the water has a grayish hue as if the water is dirty. I look into the water to see a transparent water woman diving into and out of the water at alarming speeds.

"Water spirits", Kyle said while looking at me. " How do you know that they are called that?", he looked at me with a " are you kidding me face". " I speak to plants, don't I?", He said. I smiled with a silly look on my face. " Well that takes some getting used to, it's not everyday your bestfriend gets powers". Kyle turns to me to smile. The dialogue slowly turns into silence as we both go into the world of our own minds.

Some time later we drew near a place filled with fallen buildings of all sizes and all colors. I looked up to see a big place the size of the largest football field near my place back on Ogore Thelea. The structure was beautiful even if it was abandoned in all its glory, how could anyone leave all this. I wondered what happened here? I turned my eyes from the place to see what seemed like grass. It was black, shimmery and it glowed, it seemed as if every plant here was bioluminescent. I looked up to see a huge skull, it looked as if it belonged to a giant. The eyes were like huge gaping holes staring into nothingness, just like how the place looked upon simple sight but if one looked deeper they could see that once there was something.

"This place looks abandoned", I said. Kyle turned to me with sadness in his eyes as if he knew what happened here. " It is, except that it was by force, the plants tell me that what happened here was not normal migration but a war".

" A war? What happened?''. I asked.

Kyle took a deep breath and proceeded to tell me what happened while we walked. " Once there were 7 kingdoms: Adaedalus, Merope,Bellatrix v, Alcyone, Porphyrion, Jilonop and Avermore. These kingdoms were all united under the Queen and every kingdom had its own government that ruled over them and everyone was very happy or so they thought.

The government of Adaedalus was the one closest to the Queen and had a lot more resources in comparison to the other kingdoms and for a while everyone didn't seem to mind, until the other kingdoms started getting greedy. Bellatrix V, which had the weakest power or most pointless as the other kingdoms liked to point out, was seen as lower class as the people of Bellatrix V had the power of invisibility. Not like Adaedalus who had the power to manipulate fire and was very powerful. The Adaedalusians were known to also transform into giants which boosted their economy as they had very strong manpower. The other kingdoms were also powerful but not as powerful as the Adaedalusians, like the Meropians who are the mermaid kingdom who could maneuver water, Alycyonians who has the ability to manipulate air, Porphyrion who can manipulate the earth, Jilonopians who have the power of ice and Avermorians who can manipulate light.

They all came together and plotted to take out the Adaedalusians because they felt like that they were not acting like their equal and more like their ruler because of their wealth and connection to the Queen, so they decided to kill them off by burning down their kingdom and killing off their people until only the bones and ashes were left. After which, Bellatrix V took over their position to have direct contact with the Queen, which was their plan all along, as the other kingdoms didn't know they could have direct access.

Bellatrix V was tired of being looked down on. They used their Wisdom to conquer and this was how Bellatrix V won direct access to the Queen and the other kingdoms lost because of their lack of knowledge. So this was how the weakest kingdom became the ruler and the kingdom of Adaedalus became a memory to the older folks and a myth to the younger generation. ".

" Wow, that's a lot I can't believe that happened and giants? That explains the huge skulls. Wow. I would've wanted to see them", I said in amazement. "Yeah that sounded really cool and sad at the same time, Bellatrix V was just angry and jealous. They killed a lot of innocent people in the process of getting to the top", Kyle said while sighing. By the time Kyle had finished talking we had reached a pond so we decided to take a break and eat some snacks and drink some water.

Kyle took out his favorite snack "Jungle B's" and offered me some. I took one and ate it. Thanks", The flavor was interesting, kind of like potatoes with cheese. As I gazed off into the pond. Tiny fishes were swimming up and down in search of air .

" You know what I hate Fran", I turned my head to Kyle as he said so.

"What? Mosquito and flies", I knew he hated those insects because of the incident in high school where the jocks filled his locker with those dead insects. Ever since he hated them.

" Yes but no".

"What is it then?". Kyle got up abruptly and began pacing.

" I hate my life, I mean I love it but some aspects of my life like my job. Now that you're gone I'm stuck with coworkers that I don't talk to and it's lonely and I have become one of the new targets of Mr. Stone so Fran I quit my job, do you remember when I told you that now that you left your job it wouldn't take much longer for me to leave?".

"That's great Kyle , it's not going to be much longer before everyone else  leaves that corporation".

" Fran", I heard a voice as if Kyle was crying. I looked up into his eyes and saw tears. I got up and went to hug him, rubbing his back.

" It's gonna be okay. I'm here, you're gonna be fine". I felt his head nod against my shoulder. I felt him relax a little.

" Fran and you know what I hate most".

"What Kyle?".

"I hate that we're in this new world and I didn't get to tell my parents how I feel. I didn't even get to tell Clair what she means to me."

" Are you guys still on that break?".

"We're trying to work things out but I don't think that's possible now that we're here". Yes here in this new world. I looked up in thought thinking about how my life had completely changed in a matter of weeks. If someone had told me a month ago that I would be here in a mystical land with mythical creatures I would've hit them on the head but here I am and I don't regret a thing. I looked around to take everything in when I saw a shadow walking in the distance. I stood up immediately to get a better look and realized that it was a person in a black cloak. " Did you see that?, that's a person, Kyle lets go"

Kyle got up, brushed himself off, and started yelling in my direction. " Wait up Fran, you don't know if that could hurt us". I ran with my head looking back.

" Nothing is going to happen, I got a gut feeling". I smiled with silliness on my face.

" Well I got a strong gut feeling that if you keep running like that you're gonna fall". I immediately turned my head around and continued running. Kyle shook his head and ran after me.

"Hey you !". I continued to call after the figure however, he/she didn't seem to hear so Kyle joined in and we both called after the person as we ran in their direction and came to a stop after we caught up to the mysterious figure. "Hello, we're kind of lost, can you help us?". I asked. The person spun around quickly in a frightened manner. "Hi-",I was cut off when the person said "What are you?".

I didn't answer because I was too busy admiring her, yes it's a woman. A very attractive woman at that, the woman however didn't look human but I didn't care. I felt an understandable attraction with this beautiful person and then I came to an understanding that this was it, this was my calling, it led me right to this moment. To meet her. The alien-like woman was about 5" 6 in height with a toned body, her body was too good to be true, it was perfectly in between fat and slim and her legs were thick, long and smooth. She had a curvy body as she had broad hips. She was dark-skinned with silver eyes that glowed and silver long hair that seemed to glisten.

She had bright blue tattoo-like marks all over her body which were designed uniquely with different shapes and it had a bioluminescent glow, kind of like all the plants Kyle talks to. There were also words on her body written in a language beyond my understanding. She had pointed-like ears that had double helix rings on both sides. She looked powerful and her teeth looked like they could be fangs but they weren't long enough. Her fingers also had claw-like nails that looked deadly. She was deadly. I was still looking at her when I felt a hit in my side as Kyle elbowed me. This made me come back to reality.

" Hello, we're from another world and we just wanted to know where we are and all about this place, can you help us, we don't want any trouble I promise." I said to her, She looked as if she was going to decline when I heard a thud. I quickly looked to my side only to see Kyle fainted for the third time since we came here. Only this time he started shaking hysterically and I started to panic. "Kyle, Kyle come on dude wake up", I cried. " He's in transition", I heard the woman say. I looked up and asked her to help and explain. "It's the mushroom, it seems to transfer its powers temporarily to him but it's actually a poison. It puts the host in a deep sleep and brings back their worst nightmares to test them to see if they are worthy. We can't do anything for your friend, if he's not found worthy then he dies. If we try interfering he dies all you can do is wait and hope for the best.".

"Did you just say poison? ",I asked in disbelief.

I cannot believe that this is happening. I shouldn't have brought him here. This is all my fault. I don't know why I was stupid enough to believe that I was chosen for something big. This is not some novel or some fantasy movie. Maybe I am just crazy and now because of my stupidity my only friend, my brother may or may not die right now", I cried.

"Look I don't know who you are or why you are here and I don't really care but you need to get the hell out of here if you want to still survive and help your friend. A Lot of bad people come here to talk and do business because it's abandoned and a little worm like you wouldn't last very long once they saw you".

She began walking off but I shouted at her to stop. " Please help me. I am from another world. I don't know where to turn and who to turn to, I was called here by a voice telling me it's just the start of a new beginning and I got this weird feeling telling me we were meant to meet, so please. Help me. I have no intention of dying here, not until I have discovered why I'm here or what is the meaning of all this. Please help me, give me a chance, I have nowhere to go".

She looked at me suspiciously and shook her head. Finally after 3 minutes she gave in. "Okay, you can come with me. I have a vehicle so your friend can rest comfortably, but if I find out that any of you are not who you say you are. I will not and I repeat not hesitate to slash your throats and watch you bleed out while you beg for mercy and it will be to my satisfaction, am I clear?". I gulped. " Yes ma'am ".

" Follow me ",She helped me carry Kyle into her vehicle which looked way more advanced than ours. I mean the thing looked like it could fly for crying out loud, which is very cool. Kyle is going to freak out when he sees this. I thought excitedly but then I remembered the situation he was in.

" Come on Kyle you got this, come back to me man, I can't do this without you", I told him while we got in the car. The woman looked at me with sympathy. " The chances of getting out of there alive is 5%, it's best to say your goodbyes." I looked at her in shock .

" You're joking right please say you're joking".

" Yes I'm joking, a lot of people do make it out but then again a lot of people don't".

"Kyle will make it out, he always survives." I said.
