Francis pov

"I just keep saying your life huh?, maybe I am really your knight in shining armor.", he said laughing.

"How did you escape?".

"As much as I'd like to catch up with Fran, we're kind of in the middle of something".

I turned around rapidly to see my opponent on the ground.

"It's over, Maximus'', I said as I took the sword off the ground and pointed it at him.

He looked up at me with bruised lips and his head bleeding. "You may stop me now but there are many of us around, the more you shoot us down the more we will rise.

You cannot stop us, we are invisib-".

He didn't didn't to finish as Dawn kicked him in his back and he fell.

Kyle and I looked at her dumbfounded but she only shrugged "What? he talks too much".

I couldn't help but burst out laughing.

"Who knew little Dawn was such a firecracker?, I'm glad you're okay Dawn."

She nodded and looked at Kyle "There's more where that came from haha".

Kyle laughed. I looked at him suspiciously.

"You okay?,"

"Wow, you won't even let me breathe, but I'm okay, I had Dawn so you know", he smirked.

I looked at him knowingly "you don't say", to which he only laughed.

"Remember the inside man I had?He was the one that got us out".

I nodded. "Where is the dragon core?"

"Fray has it", he answered.

I looked around and saw that Z was instructing the guards to lock her parents up, I couldn't believe it the war was really over.

I looked at Kyle and asked him to go on a walk with me. "Guys I'll be right back".

I got several choruses of okay and aye.

Once we were alone I turned and looked at Kyle. "Hey what's up?", he asked.

"Are you really okay Kyle?I saw you back there when you were locked up and you didn't look okay".

"What are you talking about ?, I'm fine"

"No you're not, I need to know if something bad happened in there, I don't know what I would do if you died, it would be all my fault."

"Francis this has to stop", Kyle said to me with a serious look on his face.

"What are you saying Kyle, I don't understand?", I said, shaking my head.

Where is this even coming from, what has to stop?, I thought.

"Francis stop looking to save me and look at the people", he said as his voice grew firmer. What is he even saying?,

"What are you even talking about Kyle? I just want to know if you're okay but you're saying this. Am I not allowed to care?", I said, getting a little irritated.

" Of course,it's not that, it's just-'' he replied softly.

"What is it then, just what?", I replied raising my voice because of how angry I was getting.

"You only care about me out of guilt and that guilt is clouding your judgment, your focus needs to be on the people", he shouted.

"What?", I answered.

"You seriously think that I only care for you out of guilt, how long have we been friends for?", I could not believe him right now.

"You're being ungrateful, that's what you are being Kyle"

"Well if it is then I'm not sorry. I don't regret being ungrateful. It is time you wake up and smell your bullshit Francis.

Millions of lives are counting on you and all you can think about is me", ok I'm done with this talk but I couldn't help but reply.

" Yes you are what I think about.I don't know millions I know you. You are my brother and my only friend".

" I'm tired of all the nonsense, you're making it seem harder than it should be".

"I'm not", I said, denying everything he said.

"Yes you are and you know what I also think, I think you are afraid but it's not time to be afraid it's time you stop and man up.

Stop feeling guilty about bringing me here and my unfortunate experiences. It is my burden to bear and I'm not your child.

I don't feel angry or even sad about it as it brought me to meeting someone important in my life and experiences I would regret missing out on if I never did".

"Well if that's what you feel then maybe I really need to let go of this burden of mine and start investing my time in people and things that need my attention.

I will free you from my mind and in turn you do the same. I don't care anymore", I said feeling angry walking away back to the group.

I heard Kyle whisper something as I was walking away but I never heard and I didn't care. I'm gonna take everyone's advice from now on, even his.

As I drew near the group I heard a loud outburst as voices climbed above each other in excitement. I picked up the pace to hear what was going on.

" Alexander, are you sure about what you heard?", I heard Gaiah say."Because if you're not sure then this could cause us huge problems".

" Yes I'm sure about what I heard. Heard is not even the correct word for it, I had seen it. I know who is the informer".

"What are you guys talking about?", I said out loud to break their attention off Alexander, I remember him.

He was the guy that was Lyra's bodyguard,who I met some time ago.

" Francis, did you finish your discussion with Kyle?. That was quick considering you guys are joined at the hip and haven't seen each other for awhile anyways, This is Alexander. I don't know if you met him before, he's our inside man", Blake said.

I ignored the first part of what he said as I nodded my head towards Alexander however he kept looking at me intensely.

" We've met but I don't remember you looking this way. How strange",he raised his eyebrows at me,folding his arms.

" Oh this look,it happened sometime ago", I said laughing nervously. Would he just stop looking at me? Just then he shakes his head and I raised my eyebrows back at him then he began speaking again.

" Ok, anyways back to business. I have some vital information you might need even though the war is over, in fact the war may not even be over".

"What information? I think it might be too late for that man", Cinco said.
"Shut up cinco, I want to hear what Alexander has to say ", Blake said.
"Stop it you two. What are you talking about Alexander?",Aquata said. Looking towards him.

We looked at Alexander but he just stared out of space oddly.

"Dude", Cinco said, snapping his fingers in his face.

"Oh yes what else must I tell you I can't seem to remember oh yes, I remember now.

I was saying that the informer involved that's a part of our team is Dawn".
