"Guys let us look in this place.We never checked it out before", Gaiah said, indicating a dark big door.

"I agree guys, let's check it out. Maybe this is the place we needed to look all along", Aquata said, turning towards everyone behind us.

"Right of course", Blake said, while I just nodded.

"Let's go", Queen Faeryn urged, taking the lead.

"Get behind me just in case", she said and everyone agreed,doing so.

Queen Faeryn pushed open the door slowly and as we neared the door to enter, some lavender smoke came out.

"Cover your nose!"Aquata shouted in surprise,immediately casting a water barrier over us that began to take on the lavender color as it became contaminated.

"Guess this was what those bastards used on us", Blake said.

"You're right, the wonders never end. However, they're stupid to think that this would work again ", I said.

"Alright Aquata I think you can release the barrier now",Queen Faeryn said as the lavender smoke disappeared.

"Wait a minute our powers are working again", Gaiah said looking at his hands.

"Oh shit I didn't even remember they were gone", Blake answered, forming a ball of ice in his palm. "I'm back baby", he said, chuckling.

Aquata nodded then raised her hands and the barrier immediately vanished when we saw men in black coming towards us so we all took action.

Queen Faeryn looked at everyone in determination, she didn't need to say anything, everyone knew what they had to do.

Aquata used the water with the lavender gas to drown them immediately, killing everyone.

We looked around pleased with what we had done, continuous planning and we finally got to execute well, half of it, we were so close I could feel it, it was only a matter of time before we ended this and with our powers back were stronger than ever.

Everyone started talking about how cool they were and how they're powers being back made them feel whole again when the sound of heavy machinery was heard.

"Watch out!",Someone shouted and the group ducked away from sharp, long blades coming down from the sky.

"To your right!"The same voice came and everyone ran to the right as things came towards them.

"What's going on?"I asked out loud but everyone was as clueless as I was.
When they shifted the ground started to shake and Gaiah who saw what was going to happen immediately created a dirt ground as the machine floor fell in.
Then the room became bright as a man suddenly became visible.

We were immediately shocked at the man's sudden appearance however there was one person who didn't look shocked. Which was Queen Faeryn.

"Woah, who are you?", I asked, checking the man out.

"Johnathan Eldermire", the man answered.

"Ok Johnathan what are you doing here and why did you help us?", Aquata asked.

"He's King Maximus' right hand man. For what he's doing here I don't know", Queen Faeryn answered.

"How do you know him?",Gaiah asked while Blake nodded in agreement.

"I am the Queen, of course I know him but to answer your question, official business", The Queen replied.

"Right Fae love, first I am here to help you locate the dragon core and second because I am tired of the trouble Maximus is bringing and I no longer find fun in people's pain plus it helps me to find my way back into your good book", Johnathan replied flirting with Queen Faeryn who rolled her eyes in return.

"Well we don't need your help, we already have someone who knows where the core is, isn't that right Fray?",The Queen asked,looking at me.

"Ye-", I was about to reply,however Johnathan laughed while holding his belly.

"I doubt that", he replied to the Queen, then continued "if you want to find the core then follow me", he said as he walked off.

"Should we follow? ",Aquata asked as she looked at everyone.

"By the way where is he from, his accent doesn't sound like he's from here", Blake asked.

" Half Bellatrix V, half Evermore", the Queen replied as she walked off.

"Well that leaves the question as to why he's working with king Maximus", Blake said.

Third pov

Flashback
She looked at the golden necklace in her hand, this was the dragoncore.

The one they said shifted according to the wilder it was a knife when king Maximus passed it to her sometime ago to guard.

However, now it was a golden necklace that had a slight crack as there was a piece of the necklace missing because King Maximus held the fragment with him.

She placed the golden necklace down behind a portage of a white dragon and left.

"I can't do this with king Maximus anymore. I am not going to be afraid of a losing man.

The man I love is out there and I believe he will keep my family safe. We will find a way to help them ", she said as tears fell down her eyes but she wiped them as a fierce look came in her eyes and then she left the dark place through a secret passage.

Present
Johnathan came in with a group of people.

"Is this where the core is supposed to be, I don't see anything special.

Are you sure you aren't joking?", Queen Faeryn laughed at Johnathan who didn't look amused at all.

To which Aquata hummed in agreement then said," As much as I wouldn't want to agree I can't help it, It kinda looks like you're joking, is this really where they keep the core".

"Yes, the place looks abandoned. Look at the cobweb on the roof and that old picture. There's no light and it's pretty dusty", Blake said,looking grossed out.

" My gosh, all my days working in this palace I have never seen a place this far gone not even the Visitors Wing is this bad and look there's foot print in here", I said shocked.

"Yes you're right and it leads to that painting plus it doesn't really look like it was from too long ago", Gaiah said.

"You know what I'm gonna show you that I was right then you will be eating your own words except you Fae you will be eating something else",

Johnathan said flirting with the Queen who looked grossed out while walking backwards towards the painting then he turned just as he reached in front of it. "

Hmm" Johnathan said and clicked a pin into place on the sides of the painting that appeared out of nowhere. It opened to show a golden necklace as he reached up for it, it changed into watch.

"Woah the stories,they were real", I said, going towards Johnathan all the while Queen Faeryn looked conflicted and in deep thought.

" Oh and it looks slightly broken", Jonathan said with a surprised look on his face. "Right", Blake said, drawing the words out.

On the borders, the battlefield.

A man held a sword to the neck of the woman and cut her throat,she fell.
Dragons came down from the sky to blow fire onto the people, killing everything in their path and destroying buildings.

People betraying people, comrades dying, pain and tears.

" One more patient?", the doctor said with a tired and frustrated look.

"This is the thousandth one, I'm afraid we can't take more anymore", the nurse replied. Just then someone came in with two additional person's.

"Doctor, please help these people, don't let them die", the woman pleaded.

"Lord Rion!"The doctor and nurse exclaimed.

Back in the throne room

"Here Francis!"Eudoxia threw a sword towards me and I turned towards my opponent King Maximus who now had swords in his hands as the single sword he had in his hand duplicated and started to fight.

I blended into the shadows and used teleportation to avoid the blade of the sword coming towards me and then I froze one of his swords to break it.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Z becoming invisible which I guess was because of Cinco.

The next thing I heard was her appearing behind me to break the neck of a woman and then a man. I had never seen a woman look so hot and angry before.

"Francis, didn't anyone tell you it's not good to be distracted in a fight?, you could've died".

"Well I guess it's good I have you then".
She rolled her eyes then ran off fighting another soldier.

She was fighting when another man sneaked up on her so I knocked him out using my ice powers and set him on fire.

I then turned around only to see Maximus coming towards me full force with a sword. I didn't get a chance to react as I stepped back and fell.

He smirked as he held up the sword getting ready to plunge it into my chest as I heard someone screaming.

I suddenly froze as I braced for the impact from the sword that was coming towards me.

This was going to hurt, I thought, but I felt no pain, I looked up and saw that someone had stopped the sword with another sword they were holding.

To my surprise it was a dear friend of mine, I was relieved, shocked and confused in one.
