"Mr. Francis Black is that all you've been experiencing, just know that you can tell me anything. Your information is safe with me ", My therapist Mrs. Summer Jackson tells me as I sat in a chair in her rose-colored office. I proceed to tell her that I have been sleeping randomly throughout the day which is weird because I don't usually sleep during the day. Also the " visions" have gotten worse.

Sometimes I will hear more than one voice or the pictures are different. It's still a bit blurry so I can't seem to decipher anything. I think I'm going insane, no I don't think. I know I am going insane. But Mrs. Summer insists that it is probably due to my injury that I had a while ago so she's going to recommend me to a neurologist.

We both know that there is something wrong with me because she looks at me like I'm broken beyond repair. So a few weeks later I go to the doctor's office to get a scan only for them to diagnose me with narcolepsy.

They gave me a lot of meds and sent me on my way. My life went from boring to crazy real quick.I guessed I asked for it. I shouldn't have complained so much and now my life is turning upside down.

A few weeks later and nothing, not one single meds has helped; it's like what they gave me made me crazier. Not only do I hear and see these blurred vision but now I can feel them and they now have adapted into people I know and when I ask them about it they look at me as if I'm bat shit crazy.

I can't take it anymore. I put on my running shoes to go to the nearest park to get some fresh air, while on the way to the park I put in my ear pods and turned on any random song from my playlist called " Daft Punk", the way the wind feels against my skin is as if I'm in a speeding car going over 310 mph and it feels wonderful however , this is where the moment ends as I draw near to a park bench near a lake full of ducks.

I sat down and gazed over at the little creatures as I thought about how wonderful they must feel. They don't seem to have a care in the world, everyday of their lives are provided for them, food, a place to live, everything and at most they never seem to have the problems I'm having.

Whereas all I'm experiencing are these vivid dreams that destroy my everyday life. The only thing that keeps me hopeful is my friendship with Kyle, he is the only reason I'm even trying. I feel like it's Time, Time for me to book myself into an asylum, there is nothing else out there for me, no job, no woman, only my friend and he can just look for me at my new residence.

Just then a lady in a white dress catches my eye. She's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. With a head full of brown locks that swinged across her back as she walked and a slender body with long legs that could make any man fall in love. I was captivated.

Her Aura was alluring and she looked like a literal goddess. Her skin was glowing like amber. It was as if the sun had a personal bias for her. I could only hear Kyle's voice in my head telling me you're a virgin and you should get laid, so I decided to go up to her, maybe this could be my chance at getting a girlfriend.

But before I could reach her she ran off so I decided to follow her not in a creepy kind of way but discreetly as if I were minding my own business. I followed her to the end of the park when suddenly she made a turn to a certain area of the park that was the pathway towards the forest.

" Mystery Zone", the sign to the forest reads. This is the place I heard all sorts of stories about such as people going lost in the forest and things like bigfoot and other mythical creatures.

She stops for a second before speeding up quickly .What if she knows I'm following her and is just drawing me out to kill me I wondered. Just then my phone rang. I quickly grabbed it out of my pocket so I could turn it off. I did so quickly but when I looked back up to see where the girl had gone, she vanished.

Disappointment and confusion was what I felt. One, because the darn phone call let me lose my chance and two, where could she have gone when we're in the middle of nowhere.

Feeling melancholy about what happened. I turned around to leave when I heard a whistle. I turned to the right to follow the sound then suddenly another whistle came. However this time it was to the left. I turned my body in the direction I last heard the sound and tried to look for what could be making the sound.

Then out of the blue ,a creature, the same woman. Well she looked human but at the same time she didn't. She had marks all over her skin and the marks looked like circles. It was weird. A light flashed and I quickly closed my eyes.

When I opened my eyes, I was in another world. I was in shock, I wondered if this place was even real. There were mushrooms everywhere, and they were huge. The mushrooms and even the sky had a bluish hue. And a staircase was in between them leading to who knows where.

I was mesmerized but the sight, the air was fresh and I could hear the chirping of birds in the distance. I closed my eyes, and relaxed. For a second I felt free, it was as if all my problems had floated away.

But it didn't last long because I was suddenly drawn back into reality. I looked around and saw that I was back in the forest. What just happened?. Was it a dream?. I rubbed my eyes and looked around. I spent a few more minutes in the mystery zone looking around but there was still no sign of anything.

It seems as if this was only a side effect of those meds again. I went through something similar but that was in my bathroom, It was like those water spirits. They appeared in the water with me while I was taking a bath. Let's just say that I use the shower more often now.

I took out my phone and glanced at the time to see 6:30 Pm. The sun was setting and I didn't want the moon to come out with me in this place. I took one last look and ran from there.

I went home, went to the living room and fell on the couch. It has been a crazy day, there is something seriously wrong with me. I dozed off for a second only to jump up to a noise. It was Kyle coming into the house. "Dude you will not believe what happened I-", I said.

" Is it the same thing again? Did you see a glimpse of weirdness", Kyle rolled his eyes.

" Kyle, you don't believe me?".

" It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that I can't keep encouraging this behavior. You need to get your life together, you're all I have man, well you and Clair". Kyle has been very supportive regardless of all the crazy things I've been saying, however, when he went to the therapist with me she told him that he should find some way to help me, I guess this was his way. But I'm gonna tell him anyway.

" Dude I'm gonna say something and even if that is all I've been saying the past week. I encountered another vision. Well this time it was not like the others, this was not all people but a place. At Mystery Zone there was like a huge mushroom and a staircase, bioluminescent lights and weird plants at one point, however they weren't there the next." Kyle looked at me with a calm expression.

"Alright since you are firm on this, I will give you the benefit of the doubt. We're going to explore there in the morning".
We went to bed, woke up the next morning, had breakfast and got ready. "Lets go to your mystery world." Kyle said.

As he said this, he went over to my room to retrieve my camping bag along with clothes and his things he left at my place eons ago. He swiftly went to my kitchen to empty my fridge.

"Where's your keys?", He asked.

" Where it always is", he grabbed them and pulled me off the couch.

We drove to the park that leads to the forest and got out. We walked to where I saw the woman and I looked around for a door or some entrance but was unsuccessful. Kyle looked at me with a displeased look on his face.

"Is this the miraculous place where you saw the most beautiful girl to ever exist? Fran, you know I love you man but this is getting out of control. I know you want this to be real but let's just face the fact that it's not. You were probably day dreaming, it's okay to admit that you're not okay, I will help you." Kyle said.

He was busy trying to tell me that I'm crazy in a subtle way but I was busy focusing on the small light I saw peeking through two small shrubs. I placed my hands in it and my hands went through something weird.

"Kyle, will you stop the noise? " I bent down and placed my hand between the two bushes again then slid my hand up slowly. I then realized that it was a door and that it was big enough for a person to cross so I immediately jumped through.

I have no idea where my sudden braveness came from but all I know is what I saw was real and I was determined to prove it. I came through and saw that I was now in the mushroom place so I turned around and pushed my head through the jelly-like portal to call Kyle.

Only to see Kyle's mouth hanging from the air. "Kyle, are you okay? come on" I said. "Wha-wha iiiiiis that Fffrancisthisisinsanewhatwasthatiamfreakingoutrightnowhowareyounotfreakingoutrightnow?''Kyle said panicking. "Kyle slow down for crying out loud, what did you just say?"

"I said, this is insane, what was that I am freaking out right now how are you not freaking out right now?. " I shook my head and pulled him through the portal because he was in too much shock to move. He looked around and said" holy shit, dude, did you find heaven?"

"So do you believe me now".

" Well I would be crazy too if I didn't believe you, I mean look at all this". Crazy he said, crazy, well that makes the two of us.

Kyle dropped the bag he was carrying and ran to the nearest plant he saw and started to touch it. The plant was large, about the size of a tiny human being, it glowed green with tiny bulbs on top and the way it moved seemed as if it had consciousness, like it could understand us.

"Wait, you don't know what kind of effect it's gonna have on you", I said. Immediately green lights shot forward up Kyle's forearm and he started to shake hysterically and then he fainted. It took about 30 minutes before he showed any signs of waking up. He groaned then moved his eyebrows. In the next second his eyes opened and I saw a green glow to them.

" what the", I freaked out and moved away from him.

"what", he said to me. I looked down and my hands were shaking.

" Yo-your ey-eyes. Th-theeey weeee-re glowing". He got up from the ground and walked over to me. Kyle laughed, "Don't be silly, Francis, no they are not." I took out my phone and made him look at himself. He raised the phone to his face and his eyes widened in shock as the color of his eyes glowed brighter.

He slowly and hesitantly gave me back my phone and I placed my phone back in my pocket when I heard a thud. Kyle fainted again. However, he recovered faster this time, I rolled my eyes in annoyance, he is so dramatic but then again I'd probably faint too.

Five minutes later he got up rubbing his eyes and saying he had the strangest dream only to look around and start screaming. I calmed him down and told him he was going to be fine, I think. I have no idea how he was going to be or if he was fine but if that got him to shut up then sure. I also had no idea where we are or how we got here other than that portal thingy but I know that is it meant to be.

After all It's a feeling I've got and my gut feelings have never let me down and so I helped Kyle up and started looking around to decide our next move. "I wonder how many mushrooms are here? 'I thought out loud. "It's infinite, they constantly regenerate whenever one plant dies however, they live pretty long so that rarely happens.

But when it does happen it's a beautiful sight to see", I heard Kyle answer. I turned around so fast that I felt my neck make a popping sound. When I looked at Kyle he had a shocked and confused expression on his face. "Kyle, how did you know that?".

"I don't know, I heard a voice telling me the answer and I just said it out loud" .

Kyle looked around looking panicked," I think it's the mushrooms."

"Mushroom?? you're telling me a plant, P.L.A.N.T is talking to you? , sure that makes so much sense. I just think that I am just rubbing off on you, Francis and his crazy friend ." Kyle looked at me dumbfounded. " Are you kidding me? we went through a literal portal and got sucked into another world and you have a hard time believing that mushrooms can talk, dude my eyes are literally glowing." I thought for a minute and laughed.

"Yeah that makes sense, well look at you, now you're mushroom guy or plant guy or better yet plant mushroom guy, dude you can be a superhero now. I laughed. Kyle however was not fazed. "I could have died".

"Okay I'm sorry Kyle. We have to go though so we can get help for your ahh,umm,situation. But don't worry bro, if the ladies saw your eyes they would fall at your feet''. "Can't you ask the mushrooms the way to go, tell them we need to find someone here to talk to".

For a second, Kyle looked at me but it was as if he was lost in thought, I'm assuming he's talking to the plants. "They said to beware of the creatures that run across the land and they have fangs that could easily kill a man.". Kyle shrugged. "Wow the plants can rhyme". " You're going to leave Frankie alone",

"You named them already? Typical Kyle", I said while shaking my head. "Yes they are connected to me and they are my little friends. I might as well give them names. Haha Leila just gave me a joke".

"Yet they say I'm the crazy one,anyways let's go, where did they say again?". "They said that where we are is known as Mushroom Land and that this is just a bridge which they control so we have to cross over to reach Adaedalus which is where we can reach civilization". "Alright lead the way".
